    Why has no company come out with a baseplate that is the height of a MILS plate with 2 holes on each side? It would be easy money and would be a win for the community.

      Good point! Lego purists might not buy it though. Would save time, although I quite enjoy building MILS plates, I find it quite relaxing! Maybe I’m weird.

    I just use the 16x16 technic bricks (4 of them with 12 pins; 3 on each union), price difference isn't much.
    To connect moduules however I do only use 2 pins and for roads and... well, whenever I don't want a bulding on top, I use this pattern you shared.

      Yeah, lots of different methods that will achieve a similar result.

    I decided to build my modular on MILS plate as its easier to start off with them than convert later. But it’s much cheaper and quicker to use 16 x 16 plate so that’s what I’ve done. However I did plan to use a lighting kit and worried I’ve made a mistake now?

      It sure is quicker and cheaper that way. I don’t think it would prevent you adding lights. I guess if needed you could always remove the modular from the MILS plate and replace one of the 16x16 with smaller plates.

    I've seen others use this same method. couldn't you just use another 32 x 32 baseplate on top or am I missing something?

    • @BrickheadBarista
      @BrickheadBarista  6 месяцев назад +1

      Do you mean instead of the 4x4plates? No, 32x32 baseplates don’t have the connection points underneath for the studs to fit into. If you don’t want access for lighting cables you could use 4 16x16 plate on top which would save time and probably money

    Could you use 1X2 blocks on the perimeter instead of the 2X2?

    Just gonna be that guy for a sec.
    Barista is the female equivalent of a baristo.

      Thanks for the input Patrick but the term barista is gender-neutral. Its etymology comes from the Italian word "barista," which means a bartender. In Italian it is only gender specific in the plural, either baristi (male) or bariste (female).
