Man I literally didn't even know it closed. I used to go there as a kid and hadn't been back since. I actually went searching for it the other day only to find a restaurant haha. I'm still so sad, I can't believe they haven't made an equivalent. Everything was so much fun back then!!!!
im 40 and i used to go to the trocadero from the early/mid 90s, onwards, in the 90s this place was just mind blowing, still not over losing the trocadero
i used to love The Imaginator rides, Funland, Segaworld, Alien War, then the huge HMV. the place was an amazing futuristic feeling place to be in my youth. so very sad what happened to it. i still remember it all so vividly. great times they were and the Trocadero used to be wonderful instead of getto which it sadly became and is becoming a budget hotel... bet that gets trashed
It's 2021 and I'm looking back some videos here in RUclips to find when Trocadero was still around back in the day. I've been there quite few times with friends just to play arcades. There was even a Tokyo Toy store that time. It's really darn shame that they had closed down.
Dude, back in the day when I spent all my time there.... the arcade wasn't reduced just to 1 or 2 floors, it was every floor bar ground floor which had all the sweets and the basement that had the bowling alley and bar. I even remember when they used to bring in one-off simulators, like for Mech Warrior and the themed-events like Alien War! It's also where I pick up my first bag of weed, lol
Was a great place. This is a little after I stopped going. Well, I think this is around the time I'd go to fighting game tournaments in the HMV, after that, I moved.
Do you remember the Harrier jump jet hanging form the ceiling? I helped remove that from the building. Spent many nights moving new machines. Worse job was to move the dodgems to a different level.
thanks for the video Omar. I was there in spring 2010 I guess I could experience still funland alltough not with it's maximum potential with like the the uppest sega world floor. Now is all gone then? What games do you miss the most?

It was cool Britain at that period ,then it all ended with the shock happening in 1997
I used to go there with a friend or two or three in the later part of the 80s/the 90s. I didn't know what's there now.
I wish it was still Sega World. :(
I was a kid back then and I knew it as Sega World. It just doesn't feel the same anymore.
