When you own a luxury car, especially one that is German-made, you better have a luxury income, and be prepared to throw a lot of money down the drain...I know someone who purchased a new S580 and after 1 year, he regretted every cent he paid for that depreciating asset. He had several issues within the first 6 months...he eventually got rid of it and purchased a new Lexus L460, always a top-rated automobile...a car he said he should've purchased in the first place. He's had it a couple of years now and no issues whatsoever.
Lowering a car adds negative camber, and judging from how your wheels sit on the car with probably the wrong offsets, you ARE going to wear out the inside of your tires, plus other suspension components and possibly wheel bearings. Good luck!
Correct, but someone convinced them it was ok. They took him for a fool. Leave it stock , I think the engineers know a bit more than some crappy aftermarket shop.
Nordic countries pay 8-11€ (9-12 USD) for a gallon. In Finland if you would have bought this AMG S 65 Coupe new it would have cost 660 000€ ($700 000) because every car that costs more than about 180 000€ and above, the tax is the same as the price of the car so the final price for a €180k car is €360k And the Netherlands and Norway or Denmark have it even worse.
Your guys' tanks are probably small though and the MPGs are through the roof. My Mustang is 16gals and gets about 19mpg. $12 a gallon would be insane in the US.

HI They performed a B service and that is a large checklist of items that cost some time. So 800 dollar is not bad. In Europe a C klass 2L cost all ready 550 euro for a B service. Spending 800 dollar on a 100K+ car for service is not bad. Maybe a bit more positive tone .. And the loaner was not listed as well.
They start with the new style key -96-97😊. I had the e220d 2015 (s212) on service a month ago.B service. 805dollars in Sweden engine oil+filter. cabinfilter.airfilter.fuelfilter. and brakefluid flush.

Just future reference for a key fob. You don't have to go to Mercedes Dealership and pay that extra $$$ for a fob. Most locksmiths can get and program a key fob for much less. And as for oil changes, I know the AMG is quite a bit more, but I'd use a 3rd party mechanic that deals with Mercedes. Don't use the dealership for that. I pay $150 for a type A service on my 2014 E350 coupe at a local shop that works with BMW, Audi, Mercedes etc. Rather taking to a dealer and paying twice as much.
It's not even my car and I'm absofreakinlutely disgusted how they charge so much for a damn key fob to a customer but will sell it to a dealer at half the cost when it's more than likely not even worth the $350 dealer price. Also, I'd love to know why an oil change costs so damn much. At any rate, the S65 looks dope as hell!
The price for the key seems a little rich. In 2011, I bought a used C230 Kompressor Sport Coupe which came with only one key. To buy a new one, I had to take a Friday off work and drive to my nearest dealer which is 300-ish Km (186 miles) south of me. I had to provide proof of ownership and sign documentation authorizing my intent to purchase a new key. This key was programmed in Germany, and took two weeks for delivery at the dealership. Once it arrived, I drove back to pick it up and verify that it worked. They wouldn't ship it to me, for obvious reasons. The key fob itself cost me C$300, plus C$75 for the steel part of the key.
Changer oil AFTER a long road trip. The heat from the ride will clean the existing oil of water and fuel, then the oil will clean the engine internals. Dispersant and detergent package will suspend the sludge and insolubles....then you drain it out and start fresh after the old oil has done it's job.
I mean each spark plug is like 20 bucks a pop. That’s 120 bucks… after taxes and crap that’s like 150 just for the spark plugs. I got my ass beat on my w204 doing them and will definitely pay 350 bucks for someone to take care of it for me. But they also last a stupid long time!! My older s63 twice as complicated!! But you are right 500+ is big bucks for sure. What car do you have?
When I took my Taycan to the dealer for it’s first ‘service’ after 10 months since new (30.000km), they charged €550. Besides ‘inspecting’ the car, the only changed the cabin air filter 😅 Just wanted the Porsche service stamp
Wow weather is nice for Pittsburg down here in Florida we are getting the cloudy grey overcast with mild rain weather. Yuck 🤮 The new E class does drive nice. Those A and B service are complete rip off it’s just topping off fluids. You are better off financially to just go for a drain and fill with new fluids. Otherwise it’s a $700 oil change.
1,1xx bucks for this Service (incl. 2nd key) is "ok". That was not a big Service. If all comes together, with New plugs, it will go over 2k. Not to mention New brake pads and discs.
The easiest way of telling a C, E, and an S is by the amount of "strips" or "led light lines" in the headlights. C=1, E=2, S=3 lines. Another way of telling is by simply looking at the infotainment system the C even the previous gen never had the wide screen setup that got carried down onto the E from the old S.
Omg Mike please learn to do your own oil changes because 600 dollars is highway robbery! It's a simple maintenance job and should be fairly easy to do 👍
Yeah, that key program is a 10 minute operation. They let your car sit in the bay for an hour. I had an S55 Amg and had a warranty and an extended warranty. Those A and B services are basic things they charge you 175-200 per hour to do.
Welcome to the world of Mercedes ownership. I had a 2016 E350 for a number of years and loved it but maintenance is expensive. When you hit 50K miles, every yearly/10k mile service has an additional service besides the regular A/B oil/filter service. At 50K it requires new plugs and some other minor items. At 60K it requires a transmission service, etc. For a V12 I imagine the services cost much more than a V6. I think doing all the services will greatly prolong the life of the car but it will definitely cost you.
Those prices the dealer charged you: are not bad. I drive a much older, far less expensive german car & my oil changes cost me around $160 when it's all said & done. That's not at the dealer either: this is me buying my own special oil and filter _at Jiffy Lube_ *** Now granted I live in the SF Bay Area and being on the East Coast might actually be a little cheaper than out here because...well hell your 3K miles closer to Germany than we are. KEY FOB - that is actually a good deal in that it's consistent / normal. For my car - again it's older than your neighbor's college kids - a key fob reprogrammed at the dealer (the only place to do that) is roughly the same. So all told: what you spent is not bad! Considering cost of oil per qt and how much a V12 needs, the basic parts cost, and the brake fluid service (probably over kill at 5K miles - I would have done it at 10K miles) I was a little surprised that it was as low as it was. *Yacht* *Radio* is just Van Halen in rehab, Cirrus XM doesn't have a lot of GenX working there otherwise their station names would be more accurate. Interesting video - thanks for sharing! -Chris / on my 3rd E46 in 8 years
It’s not just an oil change they do. Also right tools and correct torque specs make a huge difference. A service is 250. Just oil. They do a lot more on a B.
Got a second key from an official dealership a few years ago, and it came programmed from the factory. No adaptation, nothing. This involved quite some forms and paperwork and two months to arrive. It was about €450 and I could have gotten one for about €80 from a shed were they program one for you on the site. But then of course they can make a third one once you're gone...
Beautiful car. Love the wrap color. Has a 2004 S55. Maintenance is easy - wait till about 80,00 miles and you are replacing suspension, hydraulic pumps and struts, engine accessory bearings, etc. enjoy now. :). Back then at a good Indy I was spending $500 a month. Sold for Chrysler 300. 3/4 of the car for 1/4 of the price. Maybe go back to an AMG one day.
My father is a mechanic he bought a brand new truck from the dealer and voided his warranty because he never went back for servicing, they rip u off big time, i've never let no one do any any work on my vehicles beside me even when changing tyres i put them in the truck bed because i've seen how tight they torque down the wheel studs making it impossible to remove by hand
The cost of the service for the car is a good price considering I have a c300 coupe and pay the samething for service…I just got a service done this week which was supposed to be to an A service but I guess they had to do some additional maintenance and it set me back $569 with a store discount. Where the price changes is if parts need to change like brakes are spark plugs then the price tends to double from the c to s class.
Just for comparison. I paid 620 euros for a normal service with oil, filters and brake fluid change for a 2019 C300 in Germany. Converted to dollars it would be about the same. The same service for the S65 AMG would be significantly more expensive in Germany than here in the States.
Why did they charge you extra for the brake fluid flush if it’s supposed to be included in the B service??? B service is supposed to include oil change, cabin filter replacement and brake fluid flush, tire rotation…

Over the years, I've owned Porsche, Jag, BMW, Corvette, Lexus and Mercedes. The one thing I learned very early on in my ownership journey of all those fine automobiles in order to save big money was to, #1 Avoid having maintenance done the dealership at all costs.
I have a 2017 S550 AMG and I do mostly all the work myself cuz I'm a mechanic but it can be very very costly but I would recommend going back to the stock suspension it's going to ride better and it's already lowered and it's going to handle amazing anyway it's not like you're going on the racetrack it's really not necessary the car is low already and you got low profile tires so it's running rough you spending more gas and you're going to continue to Bend Rims cuz you got low profile tires but it's a beautiful car that the color of the wrap is really nice
Should I sell my 2015 s550? Parking button went out on it, sunroof has an issue. It's not much for 4k miles I've put on it but it's starting to get annoying. I wanna step down to an E class again but I don't wanna regret my decision either. It's a head turner and it hasn't cost me much but am a bit concerned.
The E-class is a step down no matter what Mercedes you have they all have a little bit of tweak of an issue you might save a little bit more gas but the S550 overall is a better car better engine at the air suspension and it's more classy and it's more roomy it basically depends on what you like if you're going to step down cuz you're worried about course it doesn't matter they both have a little bit issues to me to ask class is a better vehicle the interior is better you have the massage seats everything in the car is so much more luxury and it writes a lot better and where are you going to get a car with that type of luxury for the price that you could get them for now the reason why the price is drop on them is closed they make all their money off the leases so they dropped the prices on purpose it's a car for Prestige you're talking 130,000 car when it was brand new go try to buy that car brand new you couldn't do it so if you could have a 2015 or 17 for anywhere to price range of $25,050 000 according to the mileage it's definitely worth the money with the s550s you have to make sure that you change the transmission fluid every 50,000 miles and do a tune-up on the car change the plugs the wires in the coils at 100,000 MI and you're good you got to keep up with the maintenance on them
i have a S65 sedan the same years as your coupe and to get a dealer oil service is not smart unless you live in a area where there’s no place that’s trust worthy to service an exotic engine.
If you have the money go to the dealer. You get a free loaner. Food drinks. Free wash a warranty on parts. My car was driving funny at high speeds when I hit the breaks. The service mechanic road with me. Said it was the rotors. I said I just got them done a few months ago. They said well it’s still under warranty. So I got my breaks and rotors redone. For free. Car rides fine now.
Makes me miss my S65 W221. Back then was only worth getting CPO with add on extended warranty, at one point the warranty added up over what I paid for the car. Even then after a point I had to pay out of pocket and its not cheep even with a discount. Some reason they love to bend wheels regardless of size or brand. At one point I keep looking for a well optioned 2 door W222 but was even harder than the 4 door.
Damn, that’s a lot for an oil change I would’ve done it myself two 5 quart buckets and a single quart and a mobile one oil filter probably would’ve came out to 120. On a lazy afternoon.😂
The bad thing is they did a lot more than an oil change. I remember when I used to get my oil changed, they used to always tell me I needed more than just the oil change. I started instead changing my oil years ago myself instead.
I just serviced my 19 E63s Did a 30K service (B) I also did the transmission fluid change also. I end up paying $1222. Transmission fluid end up being 775$ seems high.
They ripped you off on the oil change, if you just went there for an oil change. They set the tire pressure, checked your suspension completely it seems, and topped off other fluids. Gotta do it yourself or most mechanics are gonna upcharge. Mechanics upcharging is a racket already, but luxury vehicle owners get it even worse.

You think Pittsburgh is bad with potholes, Los Angeles is horrendous and we pay like 2 bucks plus on gas taxes.
Nordic countries pay 8-11€ (9-12 USD) for a gallon.
In Finland if you would have bought this AMG S 65 Coupe new it would have cost 660 000€ ($700 000) because every car that costs more than about 180 000€ and above, the tax is the same as the price of the car so the final price for a €180k car is €360k
And the Netherlands and Norway or Denmark have it even worse.
Your guys' tanks are probably small though and the MPGs are through the roof. My Mustang is 16gals and gets about 19mpg. $12 a gallon would be insane in the US.
They’re doing all they can to force people out! They’re pushing people into states based on their political beliefs! Keep us divided and concentrated so they can attack us with the weather, dew’s, tornadoes earthquakes etc!

Few things I appreciate from accessories, service perspective with my ne 24 BMW M4 Competition XDrive build that just arrived last week. Automatically 3 years of service included. Another is the fact the car has 4 keys, 2 actual key fobs, a key card like Tesla and a digital key (on my phone) but, also able to send, share a temporary days/time code to someone else's phone if I were to allow anyone to use my car or if I were away with the keys but, needed someone to go into my car for something or use my car ect.....

I think it's a 2 hour service.
That is pricey but, don't look at Porsche 911 oil changes. My 21 911 C4S oil changes are $960 after taxes.
I paid about $1200 for the new key fob (key + programming) for 2022 GLE 63S, so it seems like you've got a good deal, Mike :)
They start with the new style key -96-97😊. I had the e220d 2015 (s212) on service a month ago.B service. 805dollars in Sweden engine oil+filter. cabinfilter.airfilter.fuelfilter. and brakefluid flush.
Just had to pay $330 for my first oil change on my fn 2022 Mercedes Metris Cargo van. Bought it new. Brought it in when the service light said oil change at 6k miles. I was like " You guys are a joke?.
$90 for an oil change on my 2019 4 Runner
You can upgrade the widescreen display to the facelift model to make it more modern :)
Seriously. This is what you come up with after two week hiatus. No wonder the views are down. Step it up man
What the heck is wrong with you? Get a life…geez
I miss having my 2017 c63 after I sold it. Watching your video quickly reminded me of what I don't miss about owning an AMG.
I can’t even afford a sandwich
It's not even my car and I'm absofreakinlutely disgusted how they charge so much for a damn key fob to a customer but will sell it to a dealer at half the cost when it's more than likely not even worth the $350 dealer price. Also, I'd love to know why an oil change costs so damn much.
At any rate, the S65 looks dope as hell!
Bad Ass car Bro! Love the colour and those wheels! It just needs the sun to shine down on it to show how good looking she really is.
Yacht Rock is the bomb. I call it the divorce music channel as they play all the songs that were hot around the time my parents split. Yes I am old.
You definitely need smaller wheels and higher profile tires but otherwise I love the car!
Just drive on the wheels themselves.
Damn, that V12 spark plug change is gonna cost big $$ at 50k miles. I just paid for the V6 spark plug change at that was over $500.
2018 c43@@jonathanwilkinson242
Yep, got a glc 63 s , paid 769.00 for the 50k b service
When I took my Taycan to the dealer for it’s first ‘service’ after 10 months since new (30.000km), they charged €550. Besides ‘inspecting’ the car, the only changed the cabin air filter 😅
Just wanted the Porsche service stamp
Wow weather is nice for Pittsburg down here in Florida we are getting the cloudy grey overcast with mild rain weather. Yuck 🤮
The new E class does drive nice.
The car looks good I'm thinking about getting a s class coupe
The easiest way of telling a C, E, and an S is by the amount of "strips" or "led light lines" in the headlights. C=1, E=2, S=3 lines. Another way of telling is by simply looking at the infotainment system the C even the previous gen never had the wide screen setup that got carried down onto the E from the old S.
Omg Mike please learn to do your own oil changes because 600 dollars is highway robbery! It's a simple maintenance job and should be fairly easy to do 👍
It was $180 for oil and $400 for labor. That’s ridiculous. FCP euro gets you free oil and it takes an hour to do in the garage. Dealers are a rip of.
They saw you coming a mile away 😂
So mercedes didn’t wash the car for you?
Keep it up man.
You have a lot of people that look up to you!
Ahahahahahahahahahha. Look up to him for what? Wow. Kids…
Those prices the dealer charged you: are not bad. I drive a much older, far less expensive german car & my oil changes
cost me around $160 when it's all said & done. That's not at the dealer either: this is me buying my own special oil and filter
_at Jiffy Lube_ *** Now granted I live in the SF Bay Area and being on the East Coast might actually be a little cheaper than out here because...well hell your 3K miles closer to Germany than we are.
Holy! Post the nos in the danger ranger
Plz
You got robbed bro in oil change 600 that’s crazy bro buy your own oil n filter bring it to a local reputable shop they will do it fir 100 bucks
3/4s 😆 don't lie to us, it's ok to lie to yourself.
The cost for Service A is typical to be around $700, Service B around $900-1200 on the other hand from what I heard.
What an absolute beautiful car!! I rented the exact vehicle, the exact color, when I took a B'Earthday trip to Tampa Florida. I'll never forget that experience! Love seeing this vlog!
I fail to understand why some people can’t tell the 2023 e class from the 2023/2024 c class. The rear taillights look similar to me but different enough to not mistake one for another and the e class has a dopey looking front end to me because mainly headlights shape while the c class doesn’t, has nice looking headlights, and has an aggressive look to it with a mixture of innocence
It’s hilarious you got it and the radio station was yacht rock! But figure most of the Mercedes clientele is people who are 55+, so figure they like that type of stuff. I do!
This car is absolutely beautiful!
I am 48 and has to use the term, this example looks dope man, love it.
Hey do you still have the Amg wheels the car came with for $1500 ? Or no
Getting that spare key was a great idea because if you loose your only key it would cost alot more to replace.
Wrap looks amazing and the spacer make the stance proper now. That foam cannon is the best, my daughter got me the same one for my birthday
They over price things so much because we have a 2121 chrysler pacifica with the 7 button layout on the key fob and it's not even $200
You are comparing a Chrysler security fob to a Mercedes one. There is a reason Chargers, and Challengers get stolen more often than Mercedes. The encryption is pretty heavy on MB fobs.
@ChrisAchiles no lmao they do the same damn thing they start the car they unlock the car they can open the doors and they lock the car 😂 don't sell me any bull cause that's not worth 2-4X the price lol
@@streetmuscle215 The may have similar functions, but it is the underlying security that is different. I suggest you read up on it. Edit: and I did not know you owned a car from the year 2121.

Autovlog Great Video I'm glad you had your Absolutely Gorgeous AMG S65 serviced and I think it's absolutey insane that a Key Fob Costs 600-900 dollars and I can't wait to see awesome content
they charged you $600 for an oil change that only has the cost of maybe $40 in material? Reminds why i never take my car in for oil changes and do it myself.
The M279 requires over 11 quarts of synthetic oil. You ain't getting that for $40...
For the exception of the oil change pricing, it’s not too bad relative to a typical dealership.
C class is made in Alabama and the E class is Made in Germany 🇩🇪 and as such have much less electrical problems after 4 years old.
They should call the E350 the E200 as it’s got only a 4 cylinder 2.0 engine 😂
Not anymore
The E-class is a step down no matter what Mercedes you have they all have a little bit of tweak of an issue you might save a little bit more gas but the S550 overall is a better car better engine at the air suspension and it's more classy and it's more roomy it basically depends on what you like if you're going to step down cuz you're worried about course it doesn't matter they both have a little bit issues to me to ask class is a better vehicle the interior is better you have the massage seats everything in the car is so much more luxury and it writes a lot better and where are you going to get a car with that type of luxury for the price that you could get them for now the reason why the price is drop on them is closed they make all their money off the leases so they dropped the prices on purpose it's a car for Prestige you're talking 130,000 car when it was brand new go try to buy that car brand new you couldn't do it so if you could have a 2015 or 17 for anywhere to price range of $25,050 000 according to the mileage it's definitely worth the money with the s550s you have to make sure that you change the transmission fluid every 50,000 miles and do a tune-up on the car change the plugs the wires in the coils at 100,000 MI and you're good you got to keep up with the maintenance on them
ok thanks, i'm just scared of the cylinder scoring first and foremost. Mine has 82,000 miles bought at 78,000 and got it for 22,000 @@nicoboiardo3612
i have a S65 sedan the same years as your coupe and to get a dealer oil service is not smart unless you live in a area where there’s no place that’s trust worthy to service an exotic engine.
Absolutely. Mercedes dealer tried to charge me $8000 to fix an air line to my active bolster seats and replace a starter in my SL63.
Your honest...love it ❤
If you have the money go to the dealer.
I just serviced my 19 E63s
Did a 30K service (B) I also did the transmission fluid change also.
That's why I traded mine. Maintenance fees on a M-B are outrageous.
You can take your own oil to Mercedes, it has to be Mercedes approved oil, its still cheaper by around $12 a litre
love it when mike does his detailing viids thats how i came across watching you sir
Be very careful with those AXE EX20 wheels. They look great and theyre strong wheels. But, mine had clearcoat issues.
Don't know if you will respond but when you had your w205 lowered, did you have to have a camber kit installed on it to align it? Just bought one and would like to know before I lower it.
Dude that steering wheel is dog shit, why do they want to make it seem like you're in a Hyundai.. Last gen steering wheel even with the dial screen knobs were pure class!
This is one of the nicest cars on all of YT. I wouldnt change a thing.
Its nothing Mike, this price is totally fine for such a car and engine. You actually have better prices in USA than Europe from where the car is coming
