I get you, however you are forgetting the curve, these things should never be judged based on the controls, but rather the sound, I heard a very noticeable and incredibly amazing difference in boosting it. That and that alone is "All that should ever Matter"......Food for thought.
Just started using this EQ. Id say that this is a must have IF you already have the basics, i.e.Fab Filter Pro Q 2, or equivalent, if there is a Pro Q 2 equivalent. This thing is very magical, easy to use and will actually help your EQ game in general if you don't know frequencies well. I am very glad I jumped on the discount when it was up for sale. Full price....well, not sure I'd do it, but for the discount price, most definitely.
That Air band can get you in trouble, like an aural exciter. It sounds nice per track, but add all the tracks together and you have too much harshness. Definitely less is more here.
thats very true...unless you know what you doing. You just use the air band when you need it. Thats the issue most amateur falls into. OH damn, this sounds good ...im gonna put it on every track.
What did the Maag EQ2 user say to EQ4 user? “You know you want my frequencies..” Honestly, I have both, and 2 just has those sweet sweet mid range choices, and you still get all the Air band goodness. 2 is my choice, but they should have just made one, and called it The Maag EQ.
Hi just curious you said that the bass in this video is a Fender....the EQ sounds great but my ears are telling this isn't a Fender bass or an electric bass at all it sounds more keyboardish...just checking my ears...lol!! Thanks
Am I right in thinking that 40 won't do anything unless running over 96k or does the boost affect other things like harmonics (due to analog modelling).
When you push the airband at 40, the shape of the shelf curve starts to impact frequencies lower down (the ones that are audible to our ears). Beautiful EQ, btw. Use it on every mix. Great on the 2bus with a 0.5db-1db bump at 10khz.
40kHz, for when you make music for dogs.
😂😂

just put it on vocals only
That's true of all processing, everything regardless of what you are doing can be overdone, this is where experience comes in.

As Rupert Neve says, we "perceive" those frequencies although technically inaudible.
