Now it’s time for K-State to prove themselves as a repeat Big12 championship contender and start being a serious contender for the CFP. They’re getting considerably better recruits than previous years-I can’t wait to see what they can do with it. It’s exciting to see K-State at the heart of many of the rivalries.

BYU fan here! I like the idea of a cat cup rivalry. May the best cat win!

Go enjoy your time in Vegas Fitz. That is a good lesson for all of us just to take some time to enjoy a little bit of life. KU and AZ have so much in common. In state rivalries, basketball first, knock heads with Colo, but for KU, the Mizzou basketball rivalry is historic. If you would, Fitz, sprinkle a little Big12 history at the beginning of Friday's podcast. KU only won 3 games in basketball when they left the Missouri Valley conference to the Big 6 . They now lead UK by 10 game's in all time wins.

With the arizona and kansas schools, i think it would be ku and arizona cuz they are both similar in a way that they are basketball first schools and football are afterthought.

IMHO, Football speaking you’re correct between the Cats and Pokes we are the nexus or Six degrees of Kevin Bacon of the conference. However in Bball it’s still has to be the Evil Empire since they’ve owned this conference since the Ed Manning hire.

This topic intrigues me as a Tech fan. Hard for anyone in Lubbock to really put their finger on one true rivalry game…both teams sports “hating” the other equally. That said, there is lots of potential among the usual candidates…TCU, UH. Unfortunately, as for K-State, it’s been quite lopsided now for a while. We’ve got to step up if we want to see that contest bud into a true rivalry game.

I live in Lubbock too, I don’t mind the town, but the trash and litter drives me crazy. I’ve asked my friends that question as well. They brought up the Buffs.

When you mentioned this great idea to your cousin Yormark, what did he say?

    Oklahoma State would answer Tech.

None of the others can keep up with osu. It's had to have a rival.

For Arizona, the name should be Catnip Cup.
