Am I the only one who thinks all the guys in korn need to film a video of themselves watching all this old Footage on RUclips and reminiscing about the early days. They’d probably even stumble across a few things they forgot about. I think that would be so dope. I wonder if any of them are even aware that there’s so much of this rare footage on the internet.
David’s sound was so integral to this band. The amount of signature things he did for every song is incredible. I remember all of his parts in songs just as much as Head and Munky’s riffs!
That's true, Ray is an awesome drummer but he doesn't have that groove and the signature things David used to do. Ray doesn't even play the old songs like him. I don't know if you saw David playing Chi in Life is peachy recording in another rare footage on this channel , That's so sick!

Well he started out on guitar and played guitar in his old side band so I guess it wouldn't be that surprising. Just band member things from my own experience.
Having toured in a band, I can safely say that 90% of sound check is goofing off and randomly jamming, haha. Great footage, cool to see the off side of Korn.
@@realSethMeyers Sound check is usually much more perfunctory than a rehearsal. Some bands only do a quick “check the levels” and then head back. Rehearsals are much more important from a performance point of view.
Korn is so unbelievably talented. I truly believe that's why they got so big. JD's vocals are powerful, munky and head are super creative with their riff writing, David's a super groovy drummer with awesome fills, and fieldy's slaps are an integral part of the bands sound and bring that heaviness of drop A to it's full effect. You put all these people together and you get something truly special that never comes about again.

I would listen to their cds everyday in my room with my cd player and anytime driving anywhere or like on the bus. i remember i convinced my dad to take me to cd store november 16, 1999 the day issues dropped and before that I also recorded when they were on southpark (korns groovy pirate mystery episode) and I replayed it over and over. lol it was fuckin killer. god i was so obsessed with them

I remember I had my grandpa take me to buy Freak on a Leash because you had to be 18 to buy it and I think I was 14 or 15, definitely didn't have a car yet. The cashier asked him if he was buying this for me, not knowing anything about parental advisory or anything, he just thought I didn't have any money, he said yeah I am and gave me a weird look like whats this dudes deal. I gave the cashier the most evil go to hell look ever, hah. Being alive in the late 90's early 00's was a cool time. I know everyone is partial to their childhood days, but I really feel the 90's were a good decade.

Being highly skilled doesn't automatically make you great musician, if you lack some kind of creativity. And David had a special groove for KoRn, which Ray doesn't. Sorry...

When you are the vocalist of a band and the band starts jamming you either spend a good amount of time saying, "SHUT THE HELL UP!! LET'S PLAY A SONG!" or you just give up and let them jam because they're just gonna go on LOL
I remember these guys at The Sea Port Ballroom in Long Beach and The Ice House in OC around 1993-1994. Wishing i could find some videos of them but it was for sure before cell phones, probably slim chance of video existing of those tiny shows with 100 fans, great memories though but they're starting to get fuzzy its been so long.

Didn't even realize I was a fan cuz I listened on the radio during my long daily commute. Our kid talked us into taking him. What a great gift from our son!
