Pete, GOD bless you. You're a one of a kind and we are lucky to have you teach us. I've moved from my NC TTTF yard to TX and Bermuda. Learning all over again and it's much appreciated!!
I really enjoy watching all your videos. Giving praise to the almighty every chance you get is awesome. Now bring-in the sod cutter and put down some alpha elite at your house!!
@@GCITurf Pete, can you help me with a list of pre-emergents that can be used (commercial and residential) on 3/4 hoc Bermuda like is seen in this video
I have been fixing bald spots in my lawn for yrs in the summer. I primary use Jonathan Green Tall Fescue and it always work. You just have to keep the seed moist.
I thoroughly enjoy your videos, Pete! Unfortunately the only Bermuda I deal with is unintentionally popping up in my yard! I’m in Pa so this isn’t ideal! 😂
I live outside of Missouri and if I planted Bermuda, it would start turning brown in October. zoysia grass for a lawn and it is like a carpet and very dark green and usually starts turning brown in December and greens up in early March. He will not let me do any plugging. I believe he brought plugs from California.
@@GCITurf That’s great Pete! Keep goin! You got a very good/special thing going on! I need to work on my timing! I’ve had a lot going on and it has gotten in the way. Leaving it in GODS HANDS! 🙏🏽You & Your Family have a bless one
Hey Pete I got some Alpha Elite from you 3 years ago, and love it!. After seeding my back yard I had some left over. It's been kept sealed and dry in my shop since. I just extend the yard some this weekend with what I had left over. I know it's listed on your website that it can be kept 2 years. What's chances that mine will still germinate with it being 3 years? Thanks.
Hey Pete! This video came at the most perfect time as I was debating on how / when to add some Bermuda to a spot in our yard. My family and I are out here in central California and wanted you to know how much of a blessing and inspiration you are to me and helping us with our Bermuda lawn renovation here at our home! Also wanted to mention that Gods blessed me with the opportunity to be more involved with our local Exeter Little League and coaching my boys ❤️ Along with coaching, field work / renovations have been a big need in our small country town and felt called to tell you that your ball field videos have also been so so amazing and helpful!! P.S / side note : Robin and gang over at O2YS are friends of mine and would be fun to share stories some day! If you see or talk to them tell them Mark says hello! God is good! Have a blessed week!!
When growing new grass I applied a starter fert when I seeded it 2 months ago. At what point do you recommend another feeding and with what product up in South Dakota?
Beautiful work you do brother! So given the deeper spots you filled in, do you think I’d be ok filling in a few long, narrow low areas I have that are 3” or so deep, using all sand no soil?
@@dylan8285 right? Shy of taking our 18” of soil I don’t know what to do! I’ve tried using other expensive Bermuda but the common seems to win every time.
@@Ree33ee your only option is probably reel mowing extremely low at .25 - .5 common generally doesn’t like or look good that low and that may give the hybrid a chance to choke out the common. Greens hoc of cut would be even better but that’s an 1/8 of an inch
i cant wait to see if i get germination with your seed. Hot here in TX and we are in watering restrictions but im doing my best to keep soil moist. Been 5 days so far and praying for just a little bit of germination.

Just read the specs on the Spot Buddy…. Can’t wait to see a video on it.. Fingers crossed that it uses DeWalt 20v batteries.
