On May 7, I went to Duluth and I expecting to see a northbound. Instead, the northbound train stopped in Duluth and waited on two southbounds. I ended up seeing one of the two southbound trains, NS P11, which had 5 engines. After hearing that the next southbound (I assume it was NS 243) was a couple of miles out, I headed home since it was late for me to be out.
Three days later (5/10), I was hearing updates about NS 283 having a BNSF H1 D9-44CW leading. Originally, I was supposed to get NS 283 at the Southeastern Railway Museum. After NS 283 waited for NS 242 at Shadowbrook (Sugar Hill, GA), I headed to Downtown Duluth and saw NS 283 with a BNSF H1 leader.
After a week without railfanning (because I was sick), I went back to Duluth and saw NS 243 and NS 240 (5/21). After hearing that another loaded pipe train (NS 055) was heading towards the NS Greenville District, I headed back out to Duluth in hopes of seeing NS 055, which I ended up seeing. I also saw NS 243 prior to getting NS 055 (5/23).
As always, I hope you guys enjoy this video.
I only caught the last one because of school. Also off-topic I guess but the warbonnet #761 will be at 240 first after 284, then come back at 283. (Just want to let you know that)
I’ve heard of the Warbonnet on NS 284. That should go on 240 in a few days.
@@NorthGeorgiaRailfan I thought it was today
@@The_goofy_railfanner Oh yeah, NS 240 has the Warbonnet. It should be on 283 tomorrow.
@@NorthGeorgiaRailfan is it at Atlanta?
@@The_goofy_railfanner It’s long gone.
