  • Visiting Upper Sioux Agency state park before the state of Minnesota closes it down as they prepare to transfer the land back to the Upper Sioux Community. Having never been there before, I took a day trip to check it out. Hiking, driving, and sightseeing.

When I heard it was closing we made a trip out last summer. Very pretty by the river. It’s a shame to lose this piece of history.

What a beautiful day to be out on the prairie. Hiking on a foggy day is amazing. I'm glad the land is being returned to the Sioux nation. Thanks for the update and video. Happy travels.

Thank you for the video tour of the Upper Sioux Agency State Park. Thank you also for your note at the beginning of the video asking viewers not to make social or political comments. If you get out that way again, check out the Fagen Fighters WWII museum. Three plus hangers filled with operational WWII aircraft and other fascinating artifacts.

Thank you! I'm going to try and get back to that area later in the year. I appreciate the heads up on the museum and will try and check it out next time I'm in the area. Thanks again!

Same here, I think I heard it was one of the least visited parks. Would have like to have been able to camp there. Thanks so much Joseph!

Soon it will have trailers, trash and meth labs on it I'm sure... You know, how most Indian communities treat their land.

I can’t think of a more fitting way for it to go back to nature, back to the Indians that were here long before we got here I think that’s great
