Thank you so much! You always answer our questions before we go to ask them. I've been on the roam for over a year and it came available, for the residential, so I've switched, hope the speeds get better...and our chickens have been really happy due to your guidance!
We live in rural Florida, the only option is the basic non fiber from the phone company. We are a year out from having a Starlink satellite available. We took a chance on the RV dish, this stuff is great. Good speed, no issues several months in. As noted you do have to have a clear sky.
Thanks for this video! Very timely for us. We're on the roam plan right now and it's okay. Much better than the alternatives we have available, but not great compared to quality broadband service. I'm going to have to look at whether I can get onto residential before they officially open the cell. I haven't seen the toggle in my app, but you've motivated me to investigate again and get this figured out. Edit: it looks like I can pre-order residential for a $99 deposit, or I can wait and just toggle over once my cell opens. The roam service is doing well enough that we can wait.
Fiber isn't dated, I have had both Starlink and currently have fiber at home. The fiber service is much more reliable than Starlink was, and the speeds are far beyond what Starlink could offer. Not saying starlink was unreliable, but during zoom and teams meetings we would occasionally get dropouts of audio for 10-15 seconds. None of that on fiber.
Thanks for the Video! I wish I had fiber miss that, but starlink is for sure better than CenturyLink! (Dang 3 year wait is a bummer, we had to wait about 6 months in FL)
I wanted to ask you where are you at , the state. Because your still new to me. I am in Az. I have a sister that has starlink. She has not had to much trouble with hers
Be careful standing near StarLink plugged in. My husband went to his Naturopathic Doctor after installing ours and she would tell that his EMF levels were "very high."
Great review. We'll be getting Starlink in the next week or two and I can't wait. Also, Benji is a beautiful dog that reminds me of one that passed in the 90s.
Also, pretty sure Starlink is considered "satellite" internet too, but I'm sure you get what I'm referring to there.
I hope I never lose access to your channel. Your sincerity is such a breath of fresh air.
Why thank you!

I was curious about exactly this. Thank you. Great video.

I’m sure the hardware is still fine, but IMO the monopolized business model is dated.
This was so informative. Thank you!
Huge help. Thanks so much!
What kind of speeds are you talking about for mobile? Is the issue with latency?

Would you recommend Starlink for truck drivers and people who travel around the world?
