I think Ipsy should add to the quiz an undertones section of just Cool, Warm or Neurtral. That's a super simple addition & it would make ALL the difference 👍.. My box was not my favorite Icon either!...I got A LOT of skincare .. I only received 2 makeup items & 6 skincare products in my box, an eyeliner & that cool toned pink blush. Way too cool toned for me! I haven't even received my box yet. .. Thanks ladies & I LOVE how close your relationship & friendship is! ❤️🙏🤗

I agree!! I got the BB cream and it was not my color, the same thing happened last Icon Box with the Gwen box my CT foundation wasn’t the right shade either so I went & updated my profile then thinking I wouldn’t have this problem 😢 luckily it’s my best friend’s shade so at least someone benefits from it 🥰

I have Light skin, but with Ipsy I have to chose the Fair option to get the right shade. I got the same foundation as Katrina and it works perfectly on my light warm toned skin. She should not be getting the same shade as me. It’s very unfortunate.

I now have 7 because my daughter begged me for 2 weeks to take on a disabled kitten that was going to be put down. So six of the kittens are all her fault. Don't have a daughter because it's not easy to say No, I can tell you that much not, if you have one as persuasive and sweet as mine. I swear no more but a bunch of mine are fine with going in the car because she brings them everywhere as kittens. Into the store.. She doesn't really care. She's 16 and she just has this way of getting her way because she's such a good girl with such a big heart.

Get them fixed or you will have bigger problems. (Fellow cat lover here, I have e 2 16 year old siblings since they were kittens and a 6 year old rescue polydactyl).
Totally agree with you on the foundation shade issue! I have a similar tone skin to yours and they chose the same shade for me. Worst part is they had a shade lighter in the add-ons! I actually picked up the lighter one, Fair 2, which is cool undertones. Seeing the shade against your skin, I'm sure I was correct about F3 being too dark. I'm would LOVE if they refunded me the purchase of the add-on in the correct shade, but I'm sure that's asking too much! Foundations should be choice items!!
Foundations should absolutely be a choice item that is just common sense.
I agree about the foundations, at the very least they should be asking about undertones. Everything I get it too yellow for me. The scent is more masculine, it reminds d's me of Bath & Body Works Ocean, a men's line.
Your fragrance description had me cracking up! A little bit of Pet Smart! 😂 I wonder if it's the woody notes that smell like the cedar chips or whatever you put in a hamster cage. Haha! I got that fragrance, too, and I like it, Pet Smart and all!
It’s not your fault at all, they send everyone any color, so frustrating
She's not getting the correct shade because there are several different fair shades... So when you are only choosing fair as your skin tone and they are giving them out at random.. Not even knowing your undertone it's completely ludicrous. I know because I looked up the shades and chose fair 2 for my daughter which has rosy undertones like you. I purchased one for myself but they didn't send it to me. My add on of avant eye gels the seal was completely broken. List goes on. 1 star for sure.
Frankly, I don’t think you are ever going to get the correct shade until they go back to Boxy Charm picks.
I love that toner! I amso got a facial cleanser in that same brand to try.❤
I also love First Aide Beauty products. Wish I had received this.
I discontinued my BoxyCharm/Ipsy a year ago due to receiving products I listed I did not use. I may return someday. It is a shame the incorrect shade of foundation was received in the box.
My entire icon box was items I said I rarely wanted to receive and completely against my skin type.. I do not like one item literally. $70 later. Actually more than that.Because I also have the extra item added on and the choices were terrible.
Now you can't review your products. I reached out, and they said nope. Can't anymore. There are no points either. They said they were working on it. 🤬❌️⭕️

@BamaFreak132009 I emailed customer service, and they said it was a new vendor. They were working on changing it. I just looked again. I can review it on the product website. No points. Hmmmmmm?!
Ipsy doesn’t always get every shade foundation to offer so they probably give you the lightest shade they offer of what selection they have

I agree and understand your frustration- foundation should be a choice product. Full-stop. Boxycharm did it that way and it worked!

I have warm skin color, but i hate warm shades because it makes my face to orange. I know that makes no sense but i have a hard time getting the right foundation, color
I agree! They need to only send foundations that you pick, and they should have a broader range!

I love the sister vs sister unboxing, y'all are so beautiful. I'm very fair with pink undertones as well, and I would be furious if I got this box especially after the Charlotte Tilbury foundation thing. It's wrong and very wasteful to sell people products that they can't use, it's just wrong. Love the video tho 💙💙
Pet smart? 😂 is there a guinea pig note? 😂 that shade thing sounds frustrating, they need to get their 💩 together. I would just sell it on Poshmark. "That's too much work"-Rachel😂 some products don't have the easiest applicators
I totally agree on the issues with being very fair/cool toned, and Ipsy sending foundation and complexion products that are way too deep and warm for me. I swear they don’t go by our profiles at all, it’s rather infuriating actually 🤬 I’ve skipped the last 4 or 5 months bcuz I finally got so fed up 💜
They gave me the same shade as you Katrina in the BB Cream and I am Fair Cool :( I used it with my ELF blue color corrector and it looked great but i do agree. it would be better if i could pick my shade! i enjoy trying new foundations but would prefer to have a shade that fits me!
I got the blush palette. I have blush, bronzer and highlight marked rarely. I got the benefit toner for oily skin, I have dry. I got the Saturday Skin.. I had Moisturizer set to rarely knowing that it was in the box.. I did not want to receive it. I received it in a boxy and do not like it at all. I got the FAB.. I am the opposite and I like scented skin care as long as it smells good. Nothing from them has wowed me besides wipes. I would have been so happy with the mascara. Instead I got kosas crap.. I have like a lifetime supply of babe lash I dont use. I thought I was disappointed in the Huda was it Icon.. I don't know , it was one of them and this is even worse. I would have been very happy to receive the foundation. Also I had to pay for it in add ons. Also mascara and foundation were my preferences. I'm not kidding.. completely against my preferences. They are ridiculous with complexion products and should not be giving them out as items they choose, should be a choice playing and simple.. No, they do not have undertones in their quiz last I checked. They don't even ask you your eyebrow color. I have to lie and say my hair is light brown so that I get the correct brow products. I cannot believe they did not implement the best parts of boxy like choosing your own foundation shade.. It's only common sense that you would take the good things and combine them to be better UGH. The saturday skin was in boxy but it was in a completely different packaging.
I love that Saturday Skin moisturizer. I got it in an Allure box. It’s great for my sensitive skin
They sent me Charlotte Tilbury in shade 4 - I am fair with cool undertones. Then got One Size in shade 3 - so tired of getting products I cannot use.
Not a fan of Patrick Star so I skipped this month. A few years ago I saw a video where Patrick was being bitchy and It just left a bad first impression on me. I knew nothing of him before I saw the video, he might be the sweetest person on earth. If I don’t like someone morally I don’t buy their products. I am just bitchy like that 😢
I agree with the foundation. I am very fair, like you very light . The warm is not me either. I would have rather had the pink blush cause the color of foundation is not good . I’m going to go in and put rarely on my survey on foundation so maybe they will just stop picking it for me. But I’m totally frustrated like you.
I was actually planning on signing up for this box as my first icon box! But honestly I’m glad I passed on it… hopefully the next one will be more up my alley
Totally agree with you, Katrina - IPS\Y should put more effort into skin tone preferences or let it be a choice item! Otherwise this is just a throwaway - inevitably there are formulas and colors in other products that might be out of our comfort zone or that we might not be able to use because of sensitivities or skin types, but skin tone seems like something you need to get right.
They fail so badly with foundation. they should be asking us undertone and it isn't your fault at all. I never get a light enough shade either. The cedar is the Petsmart scent! LOL
With regards to foundation- you have to put it on your face and let it dry before your ever going to know, btw thats the same with life (stop judging anything until you try it!)
The Nue Co spray is very interesting! I keep it at my work desk and it’s sort of a calming essence! I am into it!
i tried the foam toner this morning i actually liked it. And i 100% agree ipsy needs to allow people to choose colors if its foundation or concealers. trying to guess someones shade is not working and its wasteful

I added on the BBB cream and chose Fair 2 with rosy tones. It’s perfect for me and might be a good shade for you.
I’ve received the wrong shade of foundation too. Ipsy have always been really good with the foundation shades i’ve received over the years. This is the first time i’ve had the complete wrong shade. I was so disappointed. I can’t even manipulate it with concealer to make it work. That’s how wrong the shade is. I’m going to try and resell it but I was so upset. Apart from that catastrophe, my Icon box was good. I had 5 one size items. 2 chosen for me and the 3 I chose. The correct shade foundation or a shade within the Dark range would have made my Icon Box excellent.
I may buy the correct shade when Sephora does a sale.
I’m so over Ipsy. I love watching u both unbox yr boxes. But, I’m done buying from them. It’s just too frustrating anymore. I haven’t been happy with/my boxes or selections of items. It’s nothing new. This was my least favorite Icon Box. So for now, I’m just watching & e joying u both. Shame about Katrina’s shade match. That’s one of the reasons I canceled. I’m just fed up w/Ipsy. TFS! I miss u guys giving points for each item :(. See u on the next one.
I think they get a bunch of stuff in so many shades and give them out regardless if your fair you just get the lightest one I got the same shade you did.
Ipsy does need to get shades right!! It's not too much to ask. We want to TRY items. We can't if they are not in our shade range.

I m fair and cool tone and I get the Fair 3 who is not my shade and I am very mad as the cool tone fair was in the add ons

I watched the video a little while ago so I hope I’m on the right video making this comment. In regards to getting foundations that are too warm for your cool toned skin. I have found colour corrector in the shade. Blue helps to tone down the warmth in the foundationsfurther positions formula cells, a set of lighting and darkening drops for foundations. Between these two products or should I say three products I can make most foundations work for me if they are close to my shade either in tone or color.
The blue colour corrector is from elf and I found it on Amazon but could not find it in stores
The beauty profile does not ask about undertones. Least your foundation came in the right range of fair.
I’m in range Dark and they sent me the deepest shade in the deep range. I would have be Dark2 but they sent me Deep 3 🙁 I feel like Ipsy must get so many complaints about this. And there must be so many wasted foundations.
Why can’t Ipsy do what Boxycharm used to do? Allow us to choose the most suitable shade of what’s available.

I gave Ipsy six months to make me feel the way Boxy did…then I broke up with them. If someone could find all of the Boxy-proprietary things that made them special and “dupe” the business, I’d be all about it. Ipsy bought to kill, not to blend.

Great boxes ladies. I don’t upgrade to Luxe but live the SVS videos. The complexion problems totally need to be solved. Even if they weren’t a power pick but a choice with 3/6 being shades, that could help so many people.

I got the foundation. It's not spot on but I can make it work. I would describe myself as light toned not fair and I received the same shade as you. I was more annoyed that I only received one OS product and it was the foundation. I received more Fenty products (2) and it wasn't her box!

Fair 3 is so dark lol idk what they were thinking making those shade claims. Fair 2 is perfect for the true pale ladies lol
The foaming toner is amazing! My skin can be funny with products but it really works give it a try! A little goes a long way too
