I cannot tell you how many years I have been searching for this exact recording..... and YOU HAVE IT!!!!!!!
I was born too late to enjoy this when it was popular, thank goodness for old records! Thanks.
Such a beautiful recording, the best version of "Anything Goes" I've ever heard. And not only because I'd rather see Ramona "undressed" than the old Cole Porter ;)
Thanks for posting. I'm amazed that they actually got away with those words back then!
Superb! Wonderful! Better Sound quality than my copy! Thanks for posting!
What a beautiful version played on a beautiful machine.
What a sassy vocalist! Love this recording-the pianist is the cats!
that's one honking console! great sound- can't go wrong with Cole Porter.
This living room really has that 20's look--fabulous! I think they would have called it the parlor!
great tune...and your living room looks GRAND...
Terrific music... and again nice machine!
Recorded on October 26, 1934; at the same session, Whiteman and his "Concert Orchestra" also cut a 12 inch two-sided disc of a medley from "Anything Goes"...
great version, wonderful song
Beautiful console, Spectacular record. 5 stars
Where has this one been all my life?!?! Wow!!!!
This musical bit was in Fallout 3 by bethesda softworks! Obviously digitally enhanched and cleaned up. But this is just absolutely marvellous!
Ahh the 20s when life music and everything was better I mean this song can prove it all
Great spirit, verve, whatever you call it in this recording.
I loved the new version of this song and now I love the old!
This is the best version, in my opinion.
If you need it on CD look for ' These Were Our Songs the Late '30's From Readers Digest collections. Fantastic 4 CD collection got it on Amazon.com
What is that machine? It has a splendid sound. What year is it and the recording?
i was in this musical at my school last school year, just a chorus member, but whatever it was fun!
I love it!
@hookedon78s ; Yup...that's her on piano...darn good she was too.
epic music
Oh, I know they weren't....but what was allowed to get through to the general public was another matter. It's not so amazing that this record was made, just that it was allowed to become a hit.
Fallout 3, anyone?
@PaulGiffs what do expect a million dollars for some old records nobody cares about? should've taken the money you fool.
