Just listening to the list of bands on the show by Peelie makes you realise what a bloody great time for music the late 70s and early 80s was. Very priveliged to grow up at that time. Great session by the adicts as well. John Peel was a true pioneer of fabulous music god bless him.
Just hearing the intro music to John Peel's show took me right back. I don't think there's been a show like it since - you didn't necessarily like everything he played, but bits of it stuck with you. I can still remember him playing a track called "Bombing" in 1990, perhaps hours before the first Iraq war kicked off.

I watched these guys every week, rehearsing on Thursdays and playing a gig most months at the murray side youth club Ipswich.
Saw The Adicts again about a year ago, right before COVID hit. Still a great fuckin' band!

Kept thinking they were singing 'Les Dawson' instead of 'Distortion', enjoyed seeing these live back in the day. Still sounds good now.
