keep in mind that rs 2022 may still have a brand new engine , A new engine needs atleast more than 2500 kms to reach maximum performance.

I think honda pakistan lowered the compression ratio of the engine of the new civic so it can run on low quality fuel. Thus it doesn't produce the same horsepower as told.

Low compression ratio is required for turbo and super charged engines to avoid pre ignition. There should be no difference of lower compression ratio as it is compensated by the forced induction

The new civic might not have just been driven enough , i have seen videos of it being a second faster than the older one ......... and trust me a car power is truly noticeable after 10k km , as i have experienced that myself .....

the old one is a little bit faster bro the guy on the 11 th gen pressed the accelerator first especially on the roll on race which gave him the advantage otherwise the 10 th gen would have taken the lead but regardless 11 th gen is good and has a more luxury looking appearance compared to the more sporty looking 10 th gen civic

Pakistani manufactured car should not cross 140, as we have seen in case of any accident the vehicle totally seems disassembled on road in case of collision on speed > 140kmph..

Then why did you watch the race. You knew the results already I guess. You should not be the one to tell others what should be the criteria. If someone is paying 7 million (Honda has gone bonkers) on a C category sedan he definitely wants it to move and move atleast faster than its predecessor. Civic nowadays is only for young guys who are somewhat car enthusiasts. In all other aspects there are far far better options in the market for this price. I cannot thank God enough for other manufacturers to come and save us from this crap car.
I think owner of old Civic has better understanding with his Civic. I was anticipating this that old Civic could win because of it and it just got true. Could be one of the reason why new Civic lost. No hate to old Civic though. It was very close race though for both the Civics. Good race. Loved it
New rs is fast the new rs lost because of its body weight in long its gonna catch up at 140 kmh

@@_harry_potter_7865 No this one is detuned as well, a friend of mine has put it on a dyno and it's only putting out 140 whp at ~13 psi boost. That is approximately 155 crank hp.
X RS would put out >155 whp stock at 14 psi, and international variants will put out 165-170 whp at the full 16 psi boost(which Honda designed it for.)
It should be better than its predecessor in all aspects. If anyone is buying rs turbo he is looking for some power. Honda detuned it or not. Its heavier or lighter. All these are just excuses to justify buying this already doomed civic. Honda trying all sorts of tactics to increase the interest of public like the delivery time is one year. Who would wanna wait one year for this lowkey car. A no brainer.

They have heavily reduced the power of turbo of new civic to make it more suitable with pakistani petrol only advantage it has is LL Cvt .. plus weight is little heavier in new one .. dont even try oriel with new oriel 😂 old oriel will destroy new one

Bro the new rs has just been driven 555km and u cannot gets its maximum performance until its driven 3000-5000km .... ..... and also make surety that both are on same fuel ... you should race both on hi-octaine

New civic was bound to lose as it has the same tune carried over from civicx rs and rumours are that honda atlas detuned it further so its actuall hp is around 160ish... had honda atlas bumped the power to 180hp and 240nm like overseas rs we wouldnt be seeing this although overall this civic is rather a bland and toned down version of civic especially infront of predecessor x .. and slower too so obviously this one with even lesser hp will be even slower and we exactly saw that in this video
I think they will definitely give it more hp in the next facelift

@@cryptoqas8298 Maybe. But we test drove the new Oriel. It didn’t feel very slow lets see what happens. Also in the higher run, the new one will not have breathing issues due to a Turbo.
But all this is in the air till we actually put them head to head!

For those defending the new RS saying the engine is still too fresh to perform, please watch the Civic SI comparison from United States and you'll find the results to be the same over there. The new one is quite simply a downgrade instead of an upgrade.

In our region (Pakistan) the new Civic is detuned to 11 psi Boost so it can run on regular fuel as well. The 10th gen civic was on 13.5 psi and slightly lighter as well.
