3:30 Here is my favourite moments: Every season he played. His efficiency was above league average in all seasons. And thats the only thing that counts. Not highlight runs by hyped up "dual" QBs who get sacked a lot (or worse, having awful mechanics like Lance)... Just win baby. And thats what the 49ers did with him more often than not. He outplayed each QB (except Brady) who was on the same roster with him. Jimmy Garoppolo is the most under-rated QB since Jim McMahon. In many ways comparable (even the injuries around the corner)... It was said (by talking heads only) McMahon was a game manager, needed Payton, the defense (they had the same, even better all-time D in 84 and 86, going nowhere), blablabla... Actually they only won the year he was relatively healthy, thus CHI having a top offense. As DL Steve McMichael put it best: "With McMhon we had an offense, without him we were just running plays". All that is compatible with Garopollo. Trust the players, not the talking heads or incompetent front offices. So if (which I believe) those players last Sunday were overly happy, that says it all.
He let it grow again. He's done this before. Plus they were off for 3 weeks as well. Everyone had the covid beards.. now he grew his vacation beard.. 🤣
Trey wasn't ready. They had no choice but to throw him to the wolves, knowing that Jimmy G's contract was up. Trey's development and learning would've been him playing all regular season games, and he would've made mistakes, some bigger than others, and that could've been detrimental for the Niners season. I hate to say it, but it is true...
2019 vs saints Jimmy went throw for throw with Drew Brees an won! 2021 went toe to toe with Joe Burrow an beat them in OT with a TD to BA! 2021 led the niners down the field on the final drive to tie the game against the rams to get us in the playoffs!!! Not to mention down by 17 against the cardinals in 2020 an the throws the game winner to Jeff Wilson jr I was there at that game!💪
Nick and the others will Never give Jimmy any credit for those wins. They’ll give everyone else the credit except for Jimmy, like the ball just throws itself around.
I can Nick's question about a Jimmy G. Moment when Jimmy outplayed Great opponent QB and it was in 2019 against The Saints in New Orleans when he threw an accurate pass to George Kittle and set the 49ers up for the game winning field goal kick that won the game. Easy. And who was the QB for the Saints.......oh it was Drew Brees..
Nick, usually I’m on your side on this show, but man even Kyle Shanahan who has clearly been wanting to improve at QB over Jimmy G. However even he and all the 49ers players and many personnel and sources around the team all seem to agree that even though Jimmy G isn’t the best QB his ceiling isn’t high. However his ceiling and floor are much tighter and more predictable than Trey Lance’s right now. If the 9ers were just a playoff team or less than maybe yes you go back to Lance when he’s healthy. But the 9ers believe and are seen to be a Superbowl caliber team, so putting Jimmy in may not be a bad idea since Lance is still in need of development.
Jimmy outplayed Stafford last year in Week 17 (not playoffs but was a must win game). He's outplayed a lot of other guys to win games in the regular season, but it's true in the playoffs he has been carried a lot by that good Niners defense and run game. He's also came up short twice when his team needed him, in the SB and in last years NFC champ game, but that doesn't mean he's a total scrub who's incapable of winning big games.
Comments STAY screaming about that 2019 game against the Saint.......3 YEARS AGO smh. Jimmy G has a ceiling and y'all stay ignoring it every year smh. Nick is right.
Right off the top of my head, Jimmy G outplayed Dak in last year's playoff victory against Dallas. Jimmy was more efficient and avoided the big mistake. Dak did Dak things (disappeared for most of the game, threw a ton of incompletions, got hot late, threw a pick, and cost his team the game at the end when the moment got too big for him.)
So none of them remember in 2019 (year they went to the Super Bowl) when he outplayed Drew Brees in New Orleans in a HUGE game, stop y'all selective memories my guys

That's why the 49ers kept Jimmy G around , and the Players were thrilled when Jimmy G took over the Starting QB job . Trey Lance was not Ready . He is just another Jordan Love thrust into a Starter Role unwarranted ok . Great Physicall Tools / Attributes , But No Great Football IQ to go with it .
Cowboys had 14 penalties and terrible coaching, Packers couldn't score a TD after the first drive with Rodgers at home, Rams gave the game away two different times and they still won, Niners got lucky and Jimmy G did not play well in any of those games, only hope for the niners is that the NFC sucks right now
@@samuelgaona7196 Well yeah the wrap on Jimmy G is he will give the Ball away at least 3 Times per game to the other team in the Playoffs or SBs , which is true . But At least the 49ers have a Cross / Uppercut to go behind a a Jab now with Jimmy G . Trey Lance had swings and misses . Trey will bounce from team to team eventually as a Backup .
@@Mysterio-Solar they have a guy that will play well enough to win with everything working around him, if not he'll okay bad, make bad decisions and get hurt like usual, they are missing the starting RB and TE, I doubt they'll make noise unless they're healthy
That is the issue it is a Team Game!!!
Don’t forget all the Rams games where Jimmy was clutch on 3rd down.
Purdy is capable. He just needs the opportunity.
Show is perfect with just these 3 imo, occasional guest is ok.
Nick is on point
Nick Wright looks like Shanahan gave him a golden shower... and afterward made him thank him for set shower.
Love to see stats with Jimmy G with passes longer than 15 yards. Jimmy will choke.
He threw 55 completed passes of 20+ yards in 2021. Just checked the advanced stats. Definitely a solid number. Not bad. Puts him 9th in the league for that stat. Idk what you’re trying to accomplish by saying this tho lol. He’s genuinely a good qb. And currently way better than trey lance.
@@EverytingAllAtOnce i highly doubt that. That might include yac.
He choked... Lol
"To beat Mr. Quite limited" 😂😂 . And comparing trey lance and Jimmy G to Montana and young should be a criminal charge in San Francisco.
The Best Jimmy G Game Was At New Orleans In 2019, He OUTPLAYED DREW BREES & WON!! 💯
The team plays better with Jimmy G. All that matters is wins and losses.
The better two QB competition comparison would be Kaepernick & Alex Smith
49ers vs Saints had a great Jimmy drive/highlights.
Lol never forget in 2015 Tom Brady won a Super Bowl with a passer rating of 76.6
Percentage wise, what are the chances of Jimmy G playing the next 15 games without getting injured. For me it's around 5%. Jimmy G is a truly great back up to have, but now there is no back up.
Broussard going around looking like Wolverine looks good though lol
He did that in 2019 when we went to the super bowl
their chances of winning a superbowl this year just dramatically increased...
NICK HATES JIMMY FOR 1 REASON. HE WAS BRADYS UNDERSTUDY!
“I like the Gucci t-shirt.” Priceless
Just to spite Nick W.
Super Bowl 55 Bucs vs 49ers : Passing of baton
Battle between the mentor vs the student
Sad trey is gone but glad to see how jimmy and his fans handle our brutal schedule. No excuses for the 9 year Vet. Back to the days of scoreless half’s 🥲🥲
Saints Game Seahawks game couple of yrs ago
Go back to split screen where we can see everyone at the same time
Hate this new setup
That set up was garbage and during pandemic. You want to have a debate ? Do it face to face.
nick just be talking just to hear himself talk at this point
Jimmy has out played the opposing QB many times. 2019 vs the Saints was a huge game
Short term good for the 49ers. Long term, not good.
Not short term either. Lol.
I’m a Niners fan and a Jimmy G fan, but Nick has been right on this the whole time. I think they have a shot at a SB with Jimmy if everything breaks right, but their chance was better with Trey developing all season.
Just keep the 49ers from 2019 D up tight and not brake of a wall so Jimmy doesn’t get hurt.
Where did chris Broussard beard come from 🤔🤔🤔
He let it grow again. He's done this before. Plus they were off for 3 weeks as well. Everyone had the covid beards.. now he grew his vacation beard.. 🤣
Majority of 49er players wanted Jimmy G to start from the jump this season.
Lance sucks.
Trey sucks? Wow
No Chance with Lance!!! That was genius.
The one time he out played the other teams starting qb? Drew breees and the saints 2019
I wish Nick wouldn't interrupt so much. The show would be a lot better if he didn't interrupt every single time someone else is talking
Nick and the others will
Never give Jimmy any credit for those wins. They’ll give everyone else the credit except for Jimmy, like the ball just throws itself around.
That schedule is absolutely BRUTAL. We’re in for a long season 49er fans :/
That Tom Green dude is on drugs saying that the 49ers superbowl chances dropped with Jimmy G.
They just got better! Now they are a real threat again.
People say trey not ready but is the better qb on our roster
Okay not the best but 74qbr in the playoffs is amazing isn't it ? And he's a winner
Wasn't there some talking sports heads and 9er fans talking pre season about Lance being a possible MVP candidate this season...🙄
The 9ers out played the Cowboys.....9ers are a superior team...with Jimmy G....
Dallas and the saints in a regular season game in 2019. High scoring game. THATS THE ONLY TWO TIMES I CAN THINK OF. He’s been in SF for 5-6 years now.
So none of them remember in 2019 (year they went to the Super Bowl) when he outplayed Drew Brees in New Orleans in a HUGE game, stop y'all selective memories my guys
