Why don’t you check his lineage do you know what that word means??? When are you so cold or not as a Muslim your not here to judge any one or anything.
Just add one more line , Ismaili Muslims are ethnically, culturally and geographically diverse community. Salim is only talking about his family ( Khoja family). Khoja makes a small portion of this large traditions of ismailis the community. Salim knowledge and understanding is very shallow and mostly based his mistreatment experience in Austrlia seems all on personal reasons or may be for more authorities.
Great Lalani, we can't see your episodes in Canada and UK, Please use alternative social media platform like Reddit...... I believe this Aga Khan is behind all Lalani videos blockage
Ok so this boggles my mind. Ppl pay 12.5% to this 'leader' to avoid going to hell, and no one thinks this is a scam, while Khan is one of the richest ppl in the world? The definition of a scam is paying non stop payments to any individual or party despite your situation. Same as Qadiani fees. May Allah give guidance to all those fooled.
No is a charity aga wealth is by doing business not from member The aga khan foundation has done so much in Afghanistan we don’t pay nothing at all Pluse Ismaili faith are far more richer in any countries specially in Canada I am Shia but I respect the Ismaili Other sect of Islam collect money to creat Islamic extremist group and destroy life While the Ismaili are.very peaceful kind and open mind people Good fore you free to do what ever want to do but try to show the good side of Ismaili people too

May Allah bless you. I left the Ismaili system when I was 19 and I am just amazed to watch your videos which I luckily came across only yesterday. Even when we followed the Ismaili system we were never so strict with dasond as back then my father had burdens of rasing his own family and support his parents although he always believed he should pay it.

15,000,000 deluded followers who need to re-think if they are really Muslim. And who the hell gave him the right to call himself "Prince"? ... Imam? Really?
It takes alot of courage to speak out, the system is so well structured that its pretty much impossible to think out of the box, from being born in an aga khani hospital to get educated in aga khan school to die in a aga khani graveyard, I am so glad that my family stopped following when I was 5, and remember the grief they got from other family members, now most of my extended family are out sadly few are still stuck in system and its just too difficult for them to leave due to various reasons like loosing good friends and support by community and children could get divorced or kicked out of their houses because of the actions by parents.
I will always stand by my Imam, Ale-nabi, Aulad-e-Ali. My imam lives in my heart. He is loving, kind, polite and humble. Always taught me good and never speaks badly of anyone. He is very tolerant and merciful, just like RasollAllah. I love my Mowla just like many other Ismailis and our Mowla loves us even more. Call me blind, brainwashed, but matters of heart and soul can't be described. Accusations you put on my Mowla similar ones were put by Meccans on the final Prophet and even today he is mocked by unbelievers by making caricatures. My Mowla and his family Iam sure are aware of all such organized campaigns like yours on the youtube and other social media platforms, but shows tolerance, and forgiveness and never incites us to retaliate. We wish you peace and harmony in this universe.
Aga Khan didn't appear very tolerant when he published his speech (farman) in 1899 where he said "Arabs are like donkeys". Can you imagine, not only did he get caught saying that, but he actually published it himself. It can be seen close to the bottom of this page - insideismailism.wordpress.com/2015/10/30/truth-about-isma%CA%BFili-ginans/amp/
I always questioned this religion.. relentlessly.. grew up with many of them.. living next to Jamaat Khanaan, I was always curious how secretive they were and none was allowed in their worship place.
Yep, my AK friends never talked about what goes on there. We were not "allowed" to enter their residential compounds. Most of us friends didn't care as we just studied and played together.
Question RELIGION in general and you'll stop worshipping the prophets and "holy books" too. If your conscience is clean, YOU'RE THE RELIGION. You don't need no prophets and messenger to show the right path. You got a brain that functions.

Simple but very insightful questions you raised; but the one that was most resounding to me is: "What gives Aga Khan the right to personally own the religious views when the Prophet did not have that right?" "There is no one greater than myself. If you think of God, then it is myself. If you think about Imam, then too, it is me. And your Beloved Master is also me. There is no one except myself" The Aga Khan March 16th 1902 I don't know how much patience I can have with ismailis who see this quote but still don't want to even try to distance themselves from their cult. So disappointing.
Dasond is not mandatory, however is encouraged just like ANY other faith. Whoever taught you this ideology is wrong in doing so, your information is far from the truth! The Ismaili people are one of the kindness communities who want to see real change in quality of life in the east, which is why many families pay Dasond, in order to better their standard of living in developing countries across the world. The word used by the Imam is ‘obligation’ and that words meaning differs to the meaning of the word YOU use in your video which is ‘mandatory’. Our present imam actually states that it is “voluntary”. Paying Dasond is a moral ‘obligation’ and not a ‘mandatory’ task like you have claimed it to be in this video at (24:45) The word ‘Obligation’ means that it is morally a good thing to do (just like you are obligated to look after your parents or your siblings) weather you choose to do this or not is YOUR CHOICE. Never has the present day Aga Khan said that it is ‘mandatory’ to pay this dasond like you have made out to be truth trough claiming he has taught us all to do this, which is just not true at all. Never has the present day imam said this. The word used by the imam is ‘Obligatory’ - therefore you should look up the definition of both words and actually reflect on the meaning before you start to teach others and manipulate those viewers to believe these lies. This information is highly incorrect and manipulative. Each individual chooses to give money through the form of Dasond out of pure generosity. And if you think I am wrong and can prove it please quote me exactly where, when and to what context the imam has stated it is ‘Mandatory’, I have looked and there is no such saying. Stop lying to people! In Islam you give zakat, in Christianity you give Tithe (a percentage of your earning) is the Ismaili faith we give Dasond. My source: CBC interview ‘Man Alive with Bonisteel’ (Canada) 8th October 1986 “It is entirely voluntary” - Aga Khan 1986
@@salimlalani with respect, I’m on episode 7 and I have many many issues with what you are saying as I too have questioned the faith and was in the same place as you, and I too have sat on the pat like you have to lead religion ceremonies, however I can at least tell the truth when stating the facts. Firstly you can’t even give me a proper reply to my first comment, so I ask you why? Is it because I’ve caught you on a lie and you now don’t know what to say back to me? I think this is the case here. And that’s because the imam of the time never used the word you claim he did. The word mandatory is not in any Farman in the last 20 years in the context of dasond. May I remind you that I have put references to prove that it is optional and this indicates you have lied in this first video, and I also have proof you are not telling the truth in multiple other videos or in some cases at least stretching the truth and miss out key facts to shape others into thinking the false information is truth. You say no Ismaili will stand up and talk, but here I am. You ask the question in later videos, where does the money go? I have had first hand experience in attending Global Encounters in Kenya in 2016 and have seen the institutions he has built with this money with my own two eyes. We went into schools, we started work on projects in a sustainable way, we saw the amount of jobs he has created in the east, and above all he has taught us that sustainability is everything. That in itself is a huge blessing. Never has it ever been mandatory in my life time to pay Dasond to the imam and this is the truth. It is only encouraged through an obligation to be a decent human being, not just a Muslim. As for the help in the west, you are a mukhi like you said, for a majlis that you have to pay a lot of money to attend so why didn’t you help your friend with financial difficulties if he was struggling to feed his family? You clearly have money if you were mukhi of that kind of majlis right? I would have thought any decent friend would help his spiritual brother if he is in need. And especially if he has children. I must admit the financial aid is hard to find and far more transparency is needed within our community between the council and the public, however I say this with personal experience that my own family themselves were helped in this country by Ismaili financial aid when they first entered the country. So what you tell people isn’t actually accurate information. The Ismaili community helps eachother. This is how it has always been. But I’d like to discuss this further with you. Let me highlight that I say this with no hatred at all, only frustration in the fact that people can not see eye to eye anymore at a time where is is absolutely vital to stand together. However I can not lie that I’m quite baffled at how you reached these far fetched conclusions about Dasond and social welfare. If it wasn’t for the help my family received through social welfare my family would have starved. There were at that time 6 too 7 people living under one roof in a council house just to paint you the picture.
@@shaazlalani8700 You see by that arguement even Pablo Escobar gave out some charity, and the recipients swear to this day that he was a good man, it is very clever indoctrination. Ask yourself, if you are muslim whom to follow. These people are claiming to be "Imams" and descendants of the prophet PBUH but they are not. They play upon the weakness of the masses, everybody is not knowledgeable or educated in history, so they come up with the idea that Imam so and so in the 9th century did so and so. For true Islam you got to come to the Quran and the Sunnah of the prophet. Islam was not built on Imams or ahel-l-bait, it is built on the Quran and Sunnah thats it. After the death of the prophet, the enemies of Islam were hell bent on distroying Islam and if you research that period there were many wars with the kufars and munafiks. One of their melicious plans was to kill Hussain the prophets grandson. If you take a close look, all this took place in the frontier regions of the expanding muslim empire, not in the Hijaz (Mecca and Medina). Why? Because they didn't dare do that at the center where everybody would recognise them, so they played their dirty games far away in Kuffa, Egypt (the Fatimids). In Egypt they even named their nation after the prophets daughter Fatima....to fool people. The Zakat is 2.5% and most important, is due ANNUALLY. Dasond is on every paycheck and is 12.5%. Big difference, as we say "Asman aur zamin ka farak". It is shirk to worship a human. Read the Quran, follow the Sunnah and study Islamic history. Also, study Greek, Roman, Mesopotamian history and see how those people were pagan.
@AV "Imams don't need us. We need Imamat." Actually, Aga Khan may need your money if he's going to afford to spend hundreds of millions on mega yachts and big settlements to keep adultery claims out of court.
I was born in Uganda, East Africa and we had there a community of Agha Khanis (also known as Khojas). In childhood in the 1960's early 70's, we used to hear our parents mentioning the Agha Khan and he seemed to be some misterious figure. In late 1972 we left Uganda (due to Idi Amin's expulsion order) and were evacuated to a holding camp in Spain, where we had afew Agha Khani families in our group. At the time as a 13 year old we heard about "Prince Sadrudin Agha Khan" as being the head of the UNHCR in Geneva. A lot was happening in our camp but what we know is that many of the Khojas/Ismaili families chose to apply for Canada as their first choice of settlement. I can only surmise that messages were passed through their underground network. Some in our Spain group including my family ended up in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, UAE, which was not right as this country was not a signatory of the UN Convention on Refugees and we started facing problems there as soon as we landed. It was a fiasco with all the wars, corruption and lack of transperency there. Not satisfied with the UNHCR office in Beirut, I later wrote to the head himself "Prince Sadrudin" in Geneva, and I did get a reply but it was just diplomatic and basically said to help ourselves. I thought of this man as just another human being but there was a mystery around him, the "Prince" title and the way he is recieved by heads of states etc. I am Sunni muslim and to us monotheism is paramount. I knew a little about the Khojas as there is no literature about them, but you have brought a lot out, people need to know in this age of information. This is the difference between us and our forefathers 100, 200 years ago.The prophet SAW did not own fine horses, palaces and lands or gold and silver. "You can fool some of the people all the time, or all the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time" . J F Kennedy.
@@nooraliismail1615 I went to the Ismaili website and I was a little disappointed because it didn't say anything about the secretive system of taking large amounts of money from devotees who have been made to believe that an ostentatious billionaire cult leader is God on earth. When Ismaili TV start talking about that, they might get a few more RUclips hits.
As a Muslim you need to study the Holy Qur'an with its authentic commentary. You need to study the biographies of the Holy Prophet Muhammad and his twelve Rightful Successors (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all). Then you compare your Imam/guide /leader in the mirror of the Book of Allah, the sunnah of the Holy Prophet and his twelve Rightful successors/vicegerents (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all). Do not be scared to ask questions. Do not be a blind believer. If you are following a wrong guide or a leader without a thorough investigation, you will ruin your hereafter and there is no question for having a second chance either. The best gift Allah has granted us human beings is aql (common sense). Do not be stingy or economical with it.
The Ismailis have helped people outside the community not just the Ismailis. Why don't you non believers spend your time in really helping people like what the Aga Khan does as opposed to trying to convince people in what you believe. The Ismailis are happy and accept the Imam as their Spiritual Leader and Guide to worldly matters. We have all heard what is being said here and doesn't phase our allegiance to the Aga Khan.
While this comment is long, nonetheless, it may be of interest to anyone who has an open mind to facts. Salim Lalani's presentations appear to be respectful to the subject matter. And they also appear to have good intentions behind them. However, his efforts involving his personal subjective interpretations on Aga Khan, have to be interpreted with both an open mind, and also as an act of his personal sincerity to others; if it has to have any educational and positive benefits. As long as Salim Lalani focuses on historical facts including "the historical context" behind them with sincere intentions; he will be doing a "sattvic seva", a personal act of sincerity - which is very consistent with the ancient Indian wisdom. Examples of what I mean by emphasis on historical context behind the facts: 1) Historically; Shia Ismaili Imams, have never self imposed their spiritual leadership authority on their followers. Nor have they imposed the secular guidance on their followers. 2) If "some" of the Shia Ismaili Imams history is very vague, the reason is that Ismailis in general and their Imams in particular, were historically being prosecuted by majority others due to Ismailis emphasis on "esoteric interpretations of faith". This resulted in a practice of "taqqiya", a common sense practice at that time, which forced them to remain in hiding for their protection and welfare of their families. But that "taqqiya" practice also involved leaders of the community of that time being witnesses to the events "whose trust cannot be discounted when they vouched the validity of their Imams". 3) The Shia Ismaili Constitution is the guiding document that makes references not only to the historical circumstances, but also to the Shia Ismaili doctrine of Tawhid (belief in one God none other then Allah) including the traditions with regards to the leadership of Ismaili Imamat. Therefore, the constitution should be read in the full context basis and "not on cherry picked basis". Otherwise, it has "a serious potential to be misunderstood and misconstrued". 4) Historic tradition of the Ismailis, in accepting and following the guidance of their Imams, has benefited the community as being one of the most progressive traditions within the Umma. Other very specific benefits being: open minded in the esoteric interpretation of faith, very respectful and tolerant of other traditions within the Umma and other faiths, emphasis on the use of intellect when interpreting their faith and other daily activities, maintain balance between din and duniya, etc. My suggestion to Salim Lalani is that his videos can potentially have benefits, if he continues focusing on historical facts as well as genuine "historical context" behind them. And for that, I humbly request he be sincere in his intentions.🙏 As a benefit to all the interested readers, a very important message: If any member of the Ismaili tariqa, the tariqa's secondary leadership or any other person who intentionally interprets the Ismaili Muslims faith and it's core beliefs other then as articulated in the guiding document of the Shia Ismaili Muslim's constitution; such a member, the secondary leadership or the person is not only misrepresenting the facts as intended; but is also doing a great dis-service to the Ismaili faith in general and the Shia Ismaili Muslim's Imam in particular. The later also being referred to as the current Aga Khan. A note to the readers: All quotation marks in my comments are simply to emphasize some important points for the benefit of clarity.
Ali bhai, with all due respect I disagree with your arguments in defending the institution of Imamat. Here is my response to your arguments 1. Aga Khan, after he arrived in India did impose authority over Khoja community. There are many historical references and court cases available to review. You may refer and read court proceedings involving Aga Khan during British rule in India. Please refer to Ismaili Dua which was recited in Jamat Khanas before 1957. Imam was called to be Mahesh, Brahma and Vishnu (worshipped in India as gods) and of course Ali Sahi Allah (Ali true god) Aga Khan III even claimed in a Farman made in Zanzibar in 1899 that the current Quran is incomplete and he had the actual copy of Quran. Check the attached farman if you can read Khojki ibb.co/N9pR8N3 But this is irrelevant, what actually matters is even if they did not impose their authority, how does it make them equal to Allah (SWT)? No Ismaili can deny the fact that in JamatKhana Ismailis raise their hand and call out to Aga Khan to forgive their sins, give barakah in earnings (rozi ma barkat) and so on whereas Quran clearly states that our Prophet (PBUH) is Bashir and Nazeer (one who brings goods news and warns). Do you have any example during the time of Prophet Muhammad that Muslims used to raise their hands and ask him to forgive their sins in his absence? Or do you have any verse from Quran supporting such action? 2. For the sake of argument even if I accept your argument #2, how do you explain the absence of Imam Hasan from the list of Ismaili Imams. Ismaili Imamat history establishes that Ismailis and Twelvers Shia (Itha Asharis) were one community until Imam Jaffer Sadiq. According to the Ismaili history the split occurred after the death of Imam Jaffer Sadiq. At what point in history one community decided that Imam Hasan was Imam and other community decided that Imam Hasan was not Imam. 3. No comments, any community can have their own set of rules. 4. There is no denial that Ismailis are successful as a community. But most of the Ismailies are unable to understand the cost they are paying to achieve economic success. If success in life is to be measured by economic success than no doubt Ismailies are successful but there is more to life than economic success. Ali Bhai whatever you believe, it is none of my business but I request you to study Quran and then justify Ismaili beliefs in the light of Quran.
Dear Mr Kassam I welcome your comments and I wish to assure you that my work is about spreading awareness that our faith should not be blind. I Agakhan’s case we need to ask ourselves how can someone be God when it is a known fact he has been caught twice with his pants down Mr Kassam I humbly suggest that you reserve your comments until you have watched the entire series I must admit you come across to me as a very reasonable person Great to read your comments
Amyn Pabani, your comments are very courteous, respectful and appreciated. Thank you kindly. Since you have directly asked me, I am therefore hoping that the following response may offer you some answers: 1) We can always respectfully agree to disagree. After all, that is the beauty of subjective interpretations of our perceptions. 2) Considering that RUclips comments section is not necessarily an appropriate forum to engage into a back and forth discussion; I will therefore, respectfully refrain from doing that. 3) Yet your questions are valid and your point of view has many merits. They surely deserve to be answered. For that, may I refer you to the constitution of the Shia Ismaili Muslims? It may not have specific or all answers to your questions; but very likely, you may find some answers therein. Alternatively, it may lead you to an appropriate authorised channel that can provide you with some specific answers.
@Akbar Lakhani, your response has many interesting and thought provoking merits. They are much appreciated. To all the readers interested in this subject matter, this comment may be long, but surely worth your time. The Shia Ismaili Muslim's tradition has a guiding document refered to as the "Shia Ismaili Muslim's Constitution". The said constitution is approved by the Shia Ismaili Muslim's Imam of the time, and clearly articulates the following: 1) The Ismaili Muslims core doctrine of the Tawhid - which is the belief in one God none other then Allah. 2) The historical and traditional references to the beginning of Imamat institution. 3) The role and the authority of the Imamat evolving not only as the Imam of time, but also implied as the Murshid of his murids. 4) Many other very relevant facts. The traditional function and authority of the Murshid in Ismaili Muslims tariqa is comparable to any other Islamic Sufi tariqas. Meaning, it also involves a spiritual bond between the Murshid and his murids upon satisfying certain requirements such as a bayah. It is therefore imperative, that the Shia Ismaili Muslims doctrine and their faith practices should be understood from the focal point of the Shia Ismaili Muslim's constitution. And it should be read in the full context basis and not on cherry picked basis. Otherwise, it has a serious potential to be misunderstood and misconstrued. Once again; as a benefit to all the interested readers, another very important message: If any member of the Ismaili tariqa, the tariqa's secondary leadership or any other person who intentionally interprets the Ismaili Muslims faith and it's core beliefs other then as articulated in the guiding document of the Shia Ismaili Muslim's constitution; such a member, the secondary leadership or the person is not only misrepresenting the facts as intended; but is also doing a great dis-service to the Ismaili faith in general and the Shia Ismaili Muslim's Imam in particular. The later also being referred to as the current Aga Khan.
@@akbarlakhani6624 it is very interesting to hear someone who is defending Ismailism admitting to the belief that the Aga Khan is God. So you’re really saying that it was all a mistake and that the problem is being rectified? What about the one eighth of personal income that people have paid to the Aga Khan believing that he is God? Will they be offered a refund? Will they be told that they shouldn’t continue to pay him until they are clear that he is not a God?
Ismailis believe in one God just as all muslims do. We look to the imam for guidance. Also, I was brought up Ismaili and was never indoctrinated with regards to Dasond. Infact, there is writing that one should give dasond out of love in your heart, not because you have to.
Thank you Alykhan Any comments on the ginan where Pir says Allah yehi Imam? If possible, also comment on ginans and waezes approved by Agakhan that threaten you about horrible consequences in hell if you dont pay dasond! Hopefully your guidance will lead me to the right path. Salim

Aga Khan is referred as Saheebi Zaamani Wal Asara in first part of ismaili Dua' . It means Lord of Time and Age. What Quran says That no person sent by Allah will say to people that I am your lord. Imam is Fraud Wake up. I am ex ismaili now. 79. No person to whom God has given the Scripture, and wisdom, and prophethood would ever say to the people, “Be my worshipers rather than God’s.” Rather, “Be people of the Lord, according to the Scripture you teach, and the teachings you learn.” 80. Nor would he command you to take the angels and the prophets as lords. Would he command you to infidelity after you have submitted?
[72:18] The places of worship are for God. So do not call, besides God, upon anyone else. My thought process is paying dasond is long term investment with thousand fold returns. Do you agree that your forefathers and other people of Ismaili community were poor/farmers back in Indian villages and struggled to make their ends meet, but were still paying Dasond? They paid Dasond and believed in Imam and outcome is that their next generations(not talking about 100 families but the entire community) are well educated or have migrated to USA/Canada/other countries and are no longer in such situations. I have seen how my life has changed when I compare it with my forefathers and I am thankful for them to keep strong hold on pillars of faith, dasond, etc. and it is because of this, I will continue to pay Dasond and follow faith for the better future of my generations. I do not care how Imam uses my Dasond, but I am proud to say if a very small section of my forefather dasond was used to help Ismailis in 1972 Uganda crisis or my current dasond is used to help non ismailiis around the world via AKDN or helping ismailis in poor situations. FYI :- Nice try.... It was fun to watch the above video. Hope you contribute some money to your friend from revenue generated by views or advertisement :P
To be fair, people from Indian ancestry, including Khoja/Gujarati people, who moved to the west normally become economically successful, whether they are Ismaili or not. And it's interesting you say that you don't care how Aga Khan uses your dasond money and you'd be happy if only a small proportion of it goes to good causes. Asking no accountability of him is giving him a higher status than Muslims gave the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him). And this is one of many ways that ismailis put the Aga Khan above the Prophet. Anyway I'm glad that you feel some benefit from your community. I personally feel like a freer person now that I don't have a blind loyalty to a man of questionable character who I've never met before.
First some videos disappeared and then the whole channel got deleted. A bit worrying. Hope all is okay, Salim! Please let us know if there's anything more we can do to support.

He forgot his ancestors who used to worship the animals and statues. He forgot when Uthmanids empire, Mughals, English people and Mullahs attacked them and converted them by the force of sword, doing sexual assault with their children, their adults, their women and men in the mosques and today they see with their own eyes. He forgot the situation of his ancestors in past decades and centuries and the condition of his people when they were in a big disaster. He forgot who rescued these people from such misery and now he is alive, he has freedom (free oxygen, free environment to use, free everything he needs in his material life. So, these material life has made him blind and brainwashed him. I don’t know which God he has found and has believe in now? I wish him good health and to cure his memory loss soon. 👍🏻
Since assuming his role in 1957, the current Aga Khan has dedicated his efforts to improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable populations in many parts of the world, while emphasising the view of Islam as a thinking, spiritual faith: one that teaches compassion and tolerance and that upholds human dignity. In recognition of his exceptional efforts and contributions, the Aga Khan has received numerous decorations, honorary degrees, and awards from institutions and nations across the world. Your video clearly confuses fact and fiction. What you offer as fact is so skewed/stretched!

what you have written is based on belief not truth for example, imam is utilizes money for ismailies i have paid him for 5 decades, i can tell you i have rec'd $0 and i can also tell you i have paid him a substantial amount. now i am sure you have gone to school say you give me $100 for spending on ismailies I promise you i will then i pocket $90 and spend $10 for good work i know you will ask me how do i know imam pockets $90 truth is i dont but i did ask imam he refused to answer there is the problem salman when you hide, you are upto no good hope this helps

@S.A.M "Our imam never answers these ignorants because he is real IMAM." Ismailis like to compare Aga Khan to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Did you know that in the time of the Prophet, Muslims were allowed to question him and ask for accountability?
According to Islam, zakat is to be given at 2.5% of the income by every Muslim but I guess the extra 10% is for his lavish lifestyle. Also, in Surah Fatiha, in one of the Ayats, it is clearly stated, “Thee alone we worship and thee alone we seek for help”, then why are Ismailis obligated to use his name in the dua/namaz? His Serena hotels openly serve alcohol at their bars yet he condemns consumption of alcohol? Hypocrisy at its finest Honestly, there needs to be a serious official internal investigation in the funds being given to him and how he uses those funds. There also needs to be a one on one intervention to expose his lies
yes there should be an investigation but money and power has prevented this let us realise our power our solidarity is also powerful let us come together and investigate ourselves

Many corroborating testimonies make it clear that people who dissent from the Ismaili community are isolated and bullied and coping with their pain in silence. The abusive comments Salim has received in this channel alone show it. Ismailis can’t hide it any more.
The miss perception here is that only Ismaili pay 12 percent No every Muslim family pay 10 percent But Ismaili pay to big organizations like aga khan foundation who does so much around the world The aga foundation budget is near 1 billion A population of 15 million imagines of whole Muslim collect their 10 percent it would be 100 billion that money alone could end hunger in Muslim world As Shia I would say well done to Ismaili you are great example of peace harmony and humanity and opens minded modern Muslims god bless you

My family was plucked from horrific discrimination and unimaginable poverty thanks to the Imam. I'm sorry you were taught the way that you were, and glad you've found what works for you, but accusing an ancient interpretation of Islam of being a cult is ignorant by every measure: We don't try to recruit others, we're encouraged to pursue secular education, independent theological thought, and economic independence. It's also wholly irresponsible given the everyday discrimination we face let alone deadly attacks, I know as an Afghan and as a woman.
Thank you for your comments I agree I am ignorant I hardly know anything But one thing I know is Agakhanism is a cult. It is bigotry on your part to pass your judgement before being heard. This series belittles the faith of so many human beings. Yes we all have the right to think the way we want but trying to persuade others to abandon their faith, by sowing seeds of doubt, under the guise of spreading “truth”, smells of a deeper objective - perhaps one driven by personal grudges. If I try to balance Salim’s views with what the Ismaili Imam has achieved, the latter’s documented track record shines through. That said, to each his own. Follow what gives you happiness, without harming others.
Mr Alibhoy, it doesn't belittle faith. It criticises BLIND faith. Blind faith that is being exploited to make people LOTS of money. Your skilful use of spin makes you look more complicit than naive, but I shouldn't judge because when I was Aga Khani I would have jumped to his defence also.

You said that you are not interested in any religion, but I want to say to you: "may Allah guide you and shower His blessings on you" - A retired Winnipegger, Canada

I don't know how much patience I can have with ismailis who see this quote but still don't want to even try to distance themselves from their cult.

I suggest you hold your comments until you watch the series
Where have all the videos gone?
Where in the Quran or sunna does it say that if you dont pay aga Khan it would result in a person ending up in jahanum ?
@AV "Imams don't need us. We need Imamat."
Actually, Aga Khan may need your money if he's going to afford to spend hundreds of millions on mega yachts and big settlements to keep adultery claims out of court.

Great ! Finally truth revealed.. I was curious to know about the secret of this Imam... Wish to know more of him....May Allah bless you...

Mr. Lalani , all your episodes of yours is blocked in USA. Can't view any one of the episodes.
Examples of what I mean by emphasis on historical context behind the facts:
1) Historically; Shia Ismaili Imams, have never self imposed their spiritual leadership authority on their followers.
And for that, I humbly request he be sincere in his intentions.🙏
As a benefit to all the interested readers, a very important message: If any member of the Ismaili tariqa, the tariqa's secondary leadership or any other person who intentionally interprets the Ismaili Muslims faith and it's core beliefs other then as articulated in the guiding document of the Shia Ismaili Muslim's constitution; such a member, the secondary leadership or the person is not only misrepresenting the facts as intended; but is also doing a great dis-service to the Ismaili faith in general and the Shia Ismaili Muslim's Imam in particular. The later also being referred to as the current Aga Khan.
A note to the readers: All quotation marks in my comments are simply to emphasize some important points for the benefit of clarity.
Ali bhai, with all due respect I disagree with your arguments in defending the institution of Imamat. Here is my response to your arguments
1. Aga Khan, after he arrived in India did impose authority over Khoja community. There are many historical references and court cases available to review. You may refer and read court proceedings involving Aga Khan during British rule in India.
Please refer to Ismaili Dua which was recited in Jamat Khanas before 1957. Imam was called to be Mahesh, Brahma and Vishnu (worshipped in India as gods) and of course Ali Sahi Allah (Ali true god)
Aga Khan III even claimed in a Farman made in Zanzibar in 1899 that the current Quran is incomplete and he had the actual copy of Quran. Check the attached farman if you can read Khojki
ibb.co/N9pR8N3
But this is irrelevant, what actually matters is even if they did not impose their authority, how does it make them equal to Allah (SWT)?
Dear Mr Kassam
I welcome your comments and I wish to assure you that my work is about spreading awareness that our faith should not be blind.

Mr Kassam
I humbly suggest that you reserve your comments until you have watched the entire series
I must admit you come across to me as a very reasonable person
Great to read your comments
Amyn Pabani, your comments are very courteous, respectful and appreciated. Thank you kindly.
Since you have directly asked me, I am therefore hoping that the following response may offer you some answers:
1) We can always respectfully agree to disagree.
The said constitution is approved by the Shia Ismaili Muslim's Imam of the time, and clearly articulates the following:
1) The Ismaili Muslims core doctrine of the Tawhid - which is the belief in one God none other then Allah.

79. No person to whom God has given the Scripture, and wisdom, and prophethood would ever say to the people, “Be my worshipers rather than God’s.” Rather, “Be people of the Lord, according to the Scripture you teach, and the teachings you learn.”
80. Nor would he command you to take the angels and the prophets as lords. Would he command you to infidelity after you have submitted?
[72:18] The places of worship are for God. So do not call, besides God, upon anyone else. (49 Imam names are called in Dua and Imam says in farman to worship him : Call names of Imam)
[10:106] And do not call, apart from God, on what neither benefits you nor harms you. If you do, you are then one of the wrongdoers.

@@salimlalani I have spend 30 years living near Agha Khan jammat khana near garden east Karachi... Ismailis call him hazir Imam, segregated well jelled community mostly keeping to themselves. Standard of living has also improved over the years
My perspective
First of all being Ismaili, I do not relate not paying dasond with hell or paying dasond with heaven.
Amazing! Excited for more!!!

@F S god in human form or an "imam" on earth, this is what the ismaili cult leader says
I am ismalili and I’m 19 grew up in Houston Texas where we have a large population of Ismaili about 40k and during my time we never ever portrayed aga khan as god we consider him a guide or a messenger of Allah and we never felt forced to pay for dasond I mean I do believe in dasond because it’s my me of the fiver pillars of Islam and that hazar Imam utilizes the money for Ismailis all around the world if I have extra money I usually put it towards dasond but I never felt forced I would usually volunteer and give seva because I felt like that was my dasond to Imam and it made me happy
Which is the first pillar of Islam according to Ismailism? salman
what you have written is based on belief not truth
for example, imam is utilizes money for ismailies
i have paid him for 5 decades, i can tell you i have rec'd $0
and i can also tell you i have paid him a substantial amount.
now i am sure you have gone to school
say you give me $100 for spending on ismailies
I promise you i will
then i pocket $90 and spend $10 for good work
i know you will ask me how do i know imam pockets $90
truth is i dont
but i did ask imam
he refused to answer
there is the problem salman
when you hide, you are upto no good
hope this helps

Imams don’t need us. We need Imamat.
Also, dasondh is a combination of Usher and Zakat.
Khums is also clearly mentioned in Quran and it’s to b submitted to the house of Prophet.
We can agree to disagree if you insist Hazar Imam is not direct descendant of Prophet.
Out Pirs in Ginans have warned us of your type of ppl.

They are wealthy because they work together as groups

@S.A.M "Our imam never answers these ignorants because he is real IMAM."
Ismailis like to compare Aga Khan to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Did you know that in the time of the Prophet, Muslims were allowed to question him and ask for accountability?
Taqqiyya . sar tan se juda .TAQLEED? Just follow. No question ask
Hypocrisy at its finest
Honestly, there needs to be a serious official internal investigation in the funds being given to him and how he uses those funds. There also needs to be a one on one intervention to expose his lies
yes there should be an investigation
but money and power has prevented this
let us realise our power
our solidarity is also powerful
let us come together and investigate ourselves

I think this is quite unfair. I am not Agha Khani but I have interacted with many Agha Khani, not once have I heard one say he is God. I have only heard this from non Ismaili Muslims. One could say they are a bit clannish but otherwise they are quite a hardworking and progressive group. Religion can be difficult, the best policy is " live and let live ".

Thank you for speaking up. More power to you. I am not one of you but I am impressed that you are voicing for those who don’t have voices. 👍
I appreciate that
You’ve hit the nail on the head regarding those who don’t have voices. Many corroborating testimonies make it clear that people who dissent from the Ismaili community are isolated and bullied and coping with their pain in silence. The abusive comments Salim has received in this channel alone show it. Ismailis can’t hide it any more.
The miss perception here is that only Ismaili pay 12 percent
No every Muslim family pay 10 percent
But Ismaili pay to big organizations like aga khan foundation who does so much around the world
The aga foundation budget is near 1 billion
A population of 15 million imagines of whole Muslim collect their 10 percent it would be 100 billion that money alone could end hunger in Muslim world
As Shia I would say well done to Ismaili you are great example of peace harmony and humanity and opens minded modern Muslims god bless you

Just wonder, how much money is taken out of a country like Pakistan on a annually by the Aga Khan foundations and how much is invested in?
Visiting Pakistan, I have seen many religious debates between the Shia and Sunni but I have never seen Agha Khani representation on TV, does anyone know why?
Also, I Wonder why the Iranian Mullah dislike Ismailis?
1) No idea how much much but big money is laundered.
2) Agakhan likes to stay away from debates in case his truth comes out
3) Mullahs will dislike anyone who commits shirk

Mohammad was sent by GOD and had all the powers but had to fight Gazwaas to prove that ISLAM is the religion to follow? Wow...amazing huh. A powerful man struggling to prove. Smh. Jesus....the guy who had powers to resurrect humans couldn't help himself be survive or return from his own death? Anyone can glorify their existence. If you read the Quran or any "holy" books, they're all common sense scriptures. You're human....follow your conscience and you won't need any religion, religious personalities, and/or holy scriptures.
Thank you for your comments
I agree I am ignorant
I hardly know anything
But one thing I know is Agakhanism is a cult.
It is bigotry on your part to pass your judgement before being heard. Have you ever seen a judge in a courtroom passing judgement before giving the accused an opportunity to speak?
Ariana please allow me to talk about how this is a cult
Allow me the opportunity to talk about help and the amount of money Imam receives
