The longer version is so much better. It reflects not just the issues that need some addressing, but our humanity as our life’s path unfolds. Keep it coming.

Thank you very much! I have the same problems...health anxiety, overthinking, a lot of time spend in my head with a lot of worries. The same kind of parents, with same kind of anxieties...so I have learned from my early years that this is how I supposed to think, feel around a health issue. So...what are the next steps for me? The Reset program only or there is anything else that could help me on this healing path. Because I'm sooo exhausted of this way of thinking and I really want to change my life from now on. CBT also is hard for me to process. Thank you again for your inspirational videos!❤🙏

To Alex and team - I definitely like the longer unedited version better than the shorter edited episodes. I was not able to watch the whole thing in one go, but I much prefer pausing the video as needed and getting the whole session.
To Al - thank you for sharing your story! There are several issues you struggle with that I relate to.

I like that this is less edited and have enjoyed the short clips and shorts as well, they are a great reminder of the key points in the longer episode.

I was looking forward to this, cause health anxiety is such a big piece of the puzzle for me, one of the contributing factors to chronic illness I am recovering from that makes health anxiety 100 times worse. While I worked through many many other things, this one is sticky AF...so hearing someone else describing it in a very similar way that I feel it, kinda helps me to look at it from a distance.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: although it was very useful to learn the techniques and challenge my thought process (find the nasty inner critic and dismiss him/her), in therapy CBT often seemed simplistic, very manipulative and very like the old trauma. "Something's wrong with your thinking, why don't you think my way?" "Are you sure you are right about that? Let's reframe it." (sounds just like my mother rewriting reality day after day, "what do you think happened? No, here's what really happened." -- and it's patent bullshit). So, I took a course in CBT (heading for a certification) and after about 5 lessons I'd had enough and dropped out. Not for me.

Oh Al...what a great guy who seems to feel so much guilt and beating up over who he is...his mother's voice maybe. I hope he can start to get to a place where he can see how much he has to offer and what a lovely guy he is. :)

I have just come across your therapy sessions and l am amazed at the depths you go into with each client. Having had CBT and ACT therapy for health anxiety, l find it interesting how you give feedback at each junction about what you perceive the person is experiencing and how you will address the issue.l would like to know more about the reset programme.
Thank you for sharing this material and also a big thank you to the clients for being willing to share their stories.

As the daughter of alcoholic/dysfunctional parents, I notice the alcohol use which looks to me unhealthy and/or excessive. But then, we ACA's are hyper vigilant.

I really enjoyed this session, more in depth and real. Emotions are messy at times, and this is a good example of it, unedited. I could really relate to the intervjuee(?), he explains his emotions well, and I'm rooting for him to find his way out and in to a happier self🙏

I’d be interested to know how the client took to the discipline of doing the initial modules homework since at the outset he mentioned his past experience of not doing self-work exercises in other courses…

Thanks for this. I am working through emotions and trauma from my past and found myself in tears at one point during this session because it brought up some old stuff for me. It helps to feel the emotions and move through them so that I don't numb out and deny them as I was taught to do in the past. Great session.
