Birding in Kenya, February 2024, part 3: Kakamega Forest and Lake Victoria

- Birding in Kenya, our third destination was Kakamega Forest. Many great species, but the thick vegetation made it difficult to see and photograph them. After that we headed to Kisumu for a boat trip on Lake Victoria, to find the papyrus specialists.
We travelled with Cisticola Tours, our guide Simon and driver/guide Winston helped us see many specialities and plenty of our targets.
We can't always get photos of every species - our style is "birding with a camera" rather than dedicated photography. We try to show our favourite photos - sometimes a good photo of a common bird, sometimes a good bird even if the photo isn't so great.
