They are not necessarily Indian just because they looked Asian😃…. They could be Bangladeshi or Pakistani especially where you’re staying at Whitechapel, predominantly Bangladesh😄…. Also the difference between French Fries thinner and Chips chunky just makes you aware of that…. Also Londoners aren’t eating where tourists are but locals…
All locals use contactless bank cards or apple pay to pay for the tube. Each fare is around £2.80 and there is a daily cap of around £8 for zones 1 - 2. No one buys the paper travel cards

Welcome to the UK Gladys & Chris! Congratulations on your engagement and I hope your stay here is good to you both and you take away good memories. London like any other big city in the world has it's good and bad and I know that you will both see the good in every situation on your journeys. Hampstead, Highgate, Muswell Hill and Alexandra Palace in North London are great places to visit!
London is my first destination on my list …. I’m dying to see all the spectacular palaces and visit countryside cotswolds !!! I been to Thailand Greece Italy but England is sooo classy and grand it’s my wish! Congrats on your engagement guys !!!!! And thank you for this beautiful vlog ❤
You should come down to Dorset, Devon or Cornwall and get proper fish and chips near the coast. Great place to visit with beautiful scenery. Significantly cheaper fish and chips too
The price of fish and chips really varies across the UK, doesn’t it? I thought £25 was steep until I checked my local chippy in Essex-they’re charging £22 for the same meal! Seems like location plays a big role in pricing.
@@Travelwithchris there are some beautiful quaint places to visit around my area. Cambridge, Saffron Walden, Finchingfield, Ware, Ongar....there are many, but that's a small selection.
You’d never get a real cod or haddock with chips for £6-£7 might get a white bait, pollock, or coley fish that they claim to be cod. Can get it in Yorkshire for around £10 maybe £12 with a drink but definitely not £6 for the real deal.
Next time the classic sides are mushy peas and curry sauce to dip your chips. The classic to eat fish and chips is just salt and vinegar. Then you will have the true essence of English fish and chips .
Welcome dude, hope you have/had fun, gone a bit colder for you now! Winter can be nice to experience London, especially if it is cold and sunny, sitting in a warm London pub with a fireplace is something special. The prices you paid are crazy, that's central London for you. No sauce on F&C for me, just a lot of salt and vinegar.
You need to buy an Oyster Card for your travels around London. Available from the ticket offices at tube stations. or if you come out of the same entrance you entered at Aldgate East Station, and head towards Whitechapel Art Galeery, just before it there is a Costcutter Minimarket. They sell Oyster cards. You can top it up there or in the machines at the tube station. If you like Indian or Pakistani food, try the Lahore Kebab House very close to your hotel, or Tayyab's, in Fieldgate Street. Also great Fish & Chips at Poppies in Hanbury Street. Right by Spitalfields Market which you might enjoy.

Great video and good to see you guys having a great time in London! As others have mentioned, definitely need vinegar on your chips, plus also curry sauce on the side is a must too! 😊 London in the winter is totally different to London in the summer, but both seasons are equally good for different reasons. I personally prefer it when its warmer as everyone is just in a better mood, and there is such a vibe on the streets outside the pubs and restaurants, plus the parks all across London come into their own. The thing about London is that its so huge that nobody can ever cover it in just a couple of trips, plus when you step outside of Zone 1, you start to discover a less touristy vibe. Places such as Hackney, Greenwich, Primrose Hill, Peckham, Chiswick, Richmond, and Notting Hill for example all have their own character and energy too.
