i’m so excited to get to bibliophobia, it’s going to be a february read for me!! you loving my death makes SO much sense, that one absolutely took me by surprise. can’t wait for my hold to come in for on the calculation of volume!!
KING!!! so good to see you back and so good to see some overlaps in our list! really need to get to the Tuttle. seems like my kind of book! wishing you a wonderful reading year in 2025 bb!!!
So happy you’re back! Rejection is the scariest book i cackled through. I also read Limitarianism which is another book from that Jia Tolentino vid of her top books of the year and I loved it tons.
Missed you Jaylen! Great to see you back . Hope all is going well with your personal life x PS i have applied for the Balle previously on Netgalley and really hoping i get it now
Was so excited to see a new video from you! So many of these are on my list for this year. I hadn't heard much about the On the Calculation of series but it sounds incredible, need to buy the first one immediately.
I'm very glad I got recommended this video bc I love the way you talk about books and you have such an interesting selection in here. Haven't read any on this list YET but they're definitely going on my tbr
Thanks for sharing! Definitely adding all of these to my list. I just finished reading this phenomenal collection of fairy tales entitled ‘Sillies, Fancies and Trifles’ - it was just brilliant and perfect for the season. I think you would really love it. Keep up the great vids :)
Welcome back! I wasn’t sure if your new job kept you from doing competing social media book stuff as it being in conflict? Did you read History of Sound? I’m just shocked that it didn’t have more of impact with Booktube, and it wasn’t all over the end of year best lists? It was my number one short story collection.
Also loved anyone’s ghost, it’s not talked about enough! so excited for Audition! Wondering if you’ve read Playworld yet? I just finished it and thought it was a brilliant bildungsroman
@TheBarandtheBookcase Its so fucking cool. I have a review like 6 videos ago. My fav series Malazan Book of the Fallen is a 10 book epic fantasy that ive legit read 10 times because I love it so much and it quite literally saved my life. However, shockingly, Vita Nostra came outta nowhere and became my fav book, even above Malazan 7. Its kinda House of Leaves-y in a creepy vibe sense. You should read it soonish cause the 3rd and final book comes out it the spring. I can't wait for Julia (the translator) to send me an early copy.
BABE WAKE UP, JAYLEN POSTED 🚨
Omg freaking out he’s back
biannual booktubing is very chic actually

My Death is so, so good. I want like 7,000 more books that fit in that lil subgenre
RIGHT
Have you read Vita Nostra by the Dyachenkos? It sounds like something youd like. Its very creepy and atmospheric and has a philosophical vibe to it
I have not but it has been on my radar for years!! Thanks for the reminder!
