I grew up in Hilversum , a radio town , not so far away from Amsterdam . In the winters it was so cold every year , that all the canals and lakes were frozen . The municipalities made a long ice -way to Amsterdam , and at the sides there were wooden poles with huge loudspeakers mounted on it . My father taught me how to skate with the help of a chair on the ice . At the end end I managed without the chair , but still on the ice . My father past away shortly after this harsh winter , and every time if I hear a sensitive Yesterday , my heart melts away and I am again on the ice . Thank you for the song , and concerning your sweet dog , I think she didn't ask you to play again , just to go out with her , and giver her a fresh nose . . . . . . . Take Care !
