What I love about NCT (and superhuman is one of the reasons) is that everything is CRAZY CREATIVE. All of their songs couldn't be put by any other group. Cinematically they exceed excellence.

NCT Genre explaination rant: They do all seem to have their own sounds, there are some outliers but this is what I have noticed (feel free to disagree or correct me!!): NCT127 is usually an experimental mixture of hip hop, R&B and EDM. Their songs are often about romance and what I like to call "squad songs" which is basically them showing how much cooler and better than everyone they are (they are right lol). They come off a bit more aggressive. NCT Dream used to be very youthful but now that they are older they have done some more dark concepts and have been described as R&B pop and hiphop. They also seem to stick to the dream, identity, growing up and friendship (+ romance but all of NCT does that) concept when it comes to their songs. WayV is very dramatic in their concepts. Everything is usually dark and cold (with exceptions), with songs about romance (duh), their vision for themselves and the future, and success. I've seen them described as experimental pop, trap and hiphop. DoJaejung is (so far) romantic, smoother and mature. But they've only had one album so I don't have as much to go off of. Wish is taking on the 5th gen youth image (similar to how Dream was 3rd gen youth), I assume they will change a bit as they get older like Dream. So far they have a youthful love and hopeful kind of image. They seem to have a 90s/early 2000s spin on their sound which I think we can credit Boa for who is their producer. Unsure if that sound will continue but I like it. They do change things up but generally a WayV song sounds like WayV and Dream song sounds like Dream and so on. Thanks for coming to my Tedtalk. that's a great description of their individual sounds, i love it. also, wayv's music usually sounds like an epic movie soundtrack to me. very dramatic, like you said.

NCT 127 is more Urban & Experimental. WayV is R&B, Dream is more Pop, U is more Hip Hop. DoJaeJung might be more Jazzy sounding. I personally think Riize is Jazz, but they aren't apart of NCT. I don't know much about Wish.
This video is just fun to watch and their vocals really impress me on this. This group is a great sub-unit and they could all be total stand-outs on their own. So much talent stacked in this gorgeous group of guys // I miss Taeyong. My sister actually didn’t like the song and the music video so she didn’t even try to show me the music video when I didn’t know anything about nct but I like the song which feels a little bit jamiroquai-ish, and I like the visuals also.. I’ve been waiting you to react to this song and I heard the music video is not the complete version so I just keep wondering what it’d be like if the mv came out as the final version that the staff wanted to finish(I don’t like the outfit tho)
Dojaejung is p jazzy, 127 is more experimental and has some rnb n hiphop moments as well, dream is more popish n lighthearted and wayv honestly its hard to put them in a genre they do tend to do a lot of hiphop/ rnb ish music .
