  • Quick video showing first tests of the paddle shifters working with the 722.930 AMG Speedshift 7-speed transmission. This setup uses a W203 clockspring, a W213 steering wheel and a small electronic device that puts data from the steering wheel onto CAN-C bus. This video shows the paddles working while stationary. More videos in the future showing the car driving with it.

DO you have more details about the swap? Can it be adapted to the stock 5 speed trans?

      Go to: www.crossfireforum.org/forum/crossfire-v8-conversions/83727-m113k-into-crossfire-journal.html
That is the 'blog' thread on the build of the whole car. It could work with a 5 speed, but I will recommend that you look up a user, LM21 on that same forum. He builds a kit to add paddles to the stock steering wheel, and it works quite well. It would be far simpler than changing all the parts out that I did for this. Secondly, I am hesitant at this time to offer too many details on how to replicate what I did, not because I am worried about someone else doing it, but rather the safety aspects of it. This changes the steering wheel and airbag setup.

I can understand your reluctance with the air bag and safety concerns. Thanks for the reminder of LM21's info on the forum. Cheers.
