Nice that Peter Davison was recognised for This is Your life, he never understood why Beryl Reid was there like his other friends, plus she didn't have a clue why she was there either only working with him on Earthshock. This was a programme the whole family sat down and watched back in the good old days of entertainment we will never see the like of again.
watching it now im guessing beryl was there because she was famous , david was so young and im guessing hadnt worked with lots of well known actors enough over his short career at that time that they deemed it prudent to do so.
They wanted her as the final guest to promote the series, but Sandra Dickinson insisted on his Aunt being the final guest. He later said that Beryl Reid didn't have a clue who he was as they had only worked very briefly together on Doctor Who.
Peter Davison is one of my favourite actors. I love him as the 5th Doctor. This edition of this is your life is brilliant. Thanks for posting it.

Not a lot of people know Peter Davison is the first 'black' Doctor - his father Claude was Afro-Guyanese.
