The best thing that never happened to me was getting accepted into the nursing major program. All my life I thought I'd have some type of career in the medical field, partially because my mom had planted the idea in my head. But half of me has always had a passion for fashion. I'm now a business management major and hope to open my own fashion boutique some day 😊❤️

The best thing that never happened to me was God swatting away man after man who I wanted to be in a relationship with. After God stopped every one of those potential relationships, I would find out something crazy about the guy (one was a huuuuuge stoner, one drank too much, one had an anger problem, one was manipulative, etc). I would get so angry when things would never work out, but God was protecting me.

First, the Rock was def speaking the truth. God is sooo on time, so what is meant for you will happen in His time. Second, I’m so happy for Loni. She’s a wonderful comedienne. Lastly, I think Tamera would’ve played a good Ashley Banks, but I def see why Tatiana Ali was chosen.

Sasha J I don't even think Tam is a great actress but it sounds ridiculous for people to say Tam couldn't play Ashley because she's boring. Ashley was literally the most boring character on the show until she tried to start a singing career (and until the new dry Aunt Viv was cast). Uncle Phil, all the kids and Geoffrey were funnier and more interesting than Ashley. What exactly was so fascinating about Ashley?

I don't know what my childhood would have been like without fresh prince....and SISTER SISTER!!! Everyday after school, wait for my mom to come home, she'd cook dinner, we ate and then watched our shows together. Best part of my childhood.

Y’all keep saying it wouldn’t be right if Tamera played Ashley Banks . Well it’s because you’re use to seeing Tatyana Ali and now you can’t imagine it. Tamara knows how to act , if she was casted she would have pulled the part off and then you would be saying you can’t see any body else as her role.
I could actually see her playing that role and making it her own. She’s a great actress and can sing if they would have chosen to still take the character in that direction, but Sister Sister was great and if I’m not mistaken the twins had some creative control?

My mum once failed a big exam in college, and in the summer while she was studying for a the make up exam, she saw a poster in the library for an essay competition, and she won and met the Queen.
...and little did they know, they are going to win an Emmy this year. love you lots girls!
I got a call back to audition for the bad girls club 🤦🏾♀️ I was 22 at the time and I was actually not a “ bad girl “ but was playing it up to get chosen. I ended up not moving further than the callback. I love who I am
And where I am in life currently and that def wouldn’t have happened if I went on that show.
I didnt get a job after my graduation. I was so devastated that I booked a ticket right after I heard the news and traveled to middle east. I met my husband through that travel. we are married now for 2 years and he is the best.

best things that never happened to me : in France when you want to be a doctor you have to pass a certain an exam where there is only 90 places (and we were a thousand student). I ended up 150 out of the thousand, i was DEVASTATED but got picked for midwifery school, so i was like "hey, i guess that's what i'm supposed to do !"
went to midwifery school : it was HELL 🔥 the school treated me like sh**
but thanks GOD they did, 'cause i'd have been settling for something that wasn't meant for me, today i'm planning on trying AGAIN to become a doctor 'cause i figured that, that's what i've been created to do
so i'm still on my journey but i have faith you guys !!! 💪🏾 i CAN, I WILL and I MUST

I’ve experienced this! I graduated college and have been applying to teaching jobs non stop. Had an interview at 2 schools and the school that I really wanted to work out at turned me down. However I did get a job offer (that I accepted!) and I’m so glad that the school that I previously wanted turned me down! My school pays more and the kids are younger so I know I’m going to have a great time!

The best thing that never happened to me was getting walked out on when I was pregnant and being heartbroken! I now have conquered each goal and dream! Moved away, working for the best airline in the world, in the process of buying my home, back in college and traveling the world! Also found the love of my life and although we are not together right now, I know he is the only man I’ll ever want to be with!!! Dodge a major bullet when my ex left! Happy he did !

I didn’t use to, but as i get older i truly TRULY believe that EVERYthing happens for a reason and i try not to get so upset about things that i THINK are good for me that don’t happen bc i know now when one door opens another closes !
Back in 2003 I entered into a singing/songwriting contest. The rules were you had to come up with three original songs, which were judged on best written lyrics, composition, arrangement, production value, vocals, etc. Whoever had the best songs would be offered a development deal with a major label. So I wrote, produced and sang the three songs for the contest, which were voted to be the best by the judges. I won the competition as a result and was offered the development deal. As you can imagine I was ecstatic, to the point where I drove to my parent's house and told them about winning this competition. They were not happy at all, as I was going to drop out of college and pursue a music career. There was a pretty major argument and so I ended up not taking the offer. I was really depressed after that, which put a strain on my relationship with my parents. However, it turns out that a year later that record label went under and was bought out by Sony Music Entertainment. Many of the artists signed to the failed label (especially the newer artists) lost their contracts during the transition. I would've been one of them if I had signed that contract. It was less than a year later that I was offered a record deal by another label and became signed. I've been working in the industry ever since and am soon to have my own record label.
