That's it. You have convinced me to buy pencil colors. They look so good on dark cardstocks. I am only going to buy 24 color set because I want to try them out. I love my copics! But I want to try pencils on dark cardstock! Which one should I go for? Faber-castell or prismacolor? Faber-castell is a little less expense than prisma here. Just little.

I have heard people say that Prismacolors look more vibrant on dark paper. Not all polychromos look as vibrant on black. I've grown to love my polychromos on gray and Kraft (see some of my latest videos). Getting the smaller 24 set is smart indeed. You could also get 12 sets of each brand to try and compare both 😊

I was actually doing this same technique a few weeks ago and noticed that the colored pencils dulled the embossing a bit in areas where the pencil went onto it. Did you have this problem? How were you able to get the shine back?

You could test it on a scrap piece to see if this works but run the heat gun over it again but lightly to see if that brightens the embossing back to its original color.

I have already watched this video. It was great but I don't like repeats.
