We live in a coyote and owl invested area so when our cat got out recently we thought she was a goner. After scouring the neighborhood with no sign of her we were convinced she had been eaten. It suddenly occurred to me to set up some speakers just inside the door and to play a cat video. I found this one, set up the speakers, hit play and - I am not exaggerating at all - within 15 seconds our cat came running in the door. I was so inspired that I’m leaving a comment on a you tube video for the first time in my life. Thanks for posting this. It saved one cat and two little girls’ hearts.

My cat doesn’t always bother to get up if she’s taking a nap but when she does she stretches by arching her back and then comes running
I heard cats meowing for almost 24 hours but no one in the neighborhood could figure out where the sounds were coming from, as every time someone got close to the meowing, it would stop. I waited around for hours to try and pinpoint where the cats were trapped, but the meows were getting weaker and less frequent as the day went on. Eventually it occurred to me to try playing this video in hopes that they would respond, and it worked! The cats started consistently meowing back and I was able to free a cat and a month-old kitten from under the hoods of two separate cars, one of which is now my cat. I’ll always be grateful to this video for helping me save two cats that day.

Yeah, I believe you. Not just one, but two local cats - trapped under two separate car hoods - on the same day. You make rescuing cats seem so easy.
You can tell that this is fake cause the top comment also uses “occured to me”, meaning the people who made these two comments were probably like: “let’s make up some touching story so that this video gets views”.
Also the story telling is very similar in structure. AT LEAST one of these comments is false

This always works!! I will use it when I haven’t seen her for a few hours and I want to make sure she’s okay and no one accidentally let her outside without me having to search the whole house. It does seem like it makes your kitty concerned, perhaps it’s a mamma cat noise that triggers them? But I use it to locate her. She has also darted into my apartment lobby to hide under the bicycles to “play” and if I use this, she comes right back inside! Super useful!
I think its just curiosity causing them to chase after the sound.

Commenting here to say that this vid worked for us. Cat was missing for three hours. I’ve walked in and out of the village calling his name. He usually answers and is a very vocal cat. I stood outside the gate and played this vid. It took me three plays to get him to come to the door! Thank you

Thank you for this video! We found a 1 ~ 2 week old kitten in a tree at my local park. My sister climbed into the tree, and the kitten got scared and climbed around 10 ~ 12 feet into the tree. We played this video, and it attracted the curious kitty, and my sister was able to get it down. The kitten was very brave. We have not found out the gender and we named it 'Maple', since we found it in a maple tree.

My 2 black cats wandered over to the farmer's land behind out home 15 minutes ago and it's about the time when the coyotes come out. I could barely see them in the distance (thank goodness they stay together). This is the first recording I pulled up on RUclips and as soon as I played it, bless their little hearts, they came right back. I took them in the house and gave them a little treat for being good girls. This is amazing. Thank you.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! My friend recently got a cat that was found in the dumpster. Poor baby was so scared when they brought it home it hid behind the couch and they couldn't get it out. I came over to help them and played this video and after 3 minutes the cat came out from hiding. We were able to get the poor little kitty confident enough to walk around the house with this sound thank you!

Just saved a kitten from the street. At first she was stressed and hid under furniture, this video was the only thing that managed to make her go out.
