Suddenly it gets incredibly boring. Something to do with the subject matter. Philosophically Twombly is as lost as the next guy. It is boring when people go back to myth to Make sense of the present…. It is the avoidance of contemporary Philosophy by playing on the post modern idea that truth is owned and created by the self . This is what bores me as that stance is just plain old false.
Ya I think I get your point - like certain others - seems he got away with a lot of BS! wrapped up in a philosophical pile of crap ... but as Gagosian said - "not sure why, but I like it" or at least some of it - cheers

Do you mean the blue painting? I can see sort of subtly a head in there now that you mention it Twombly was way too smart for me.
