Totally agree,,, Chris Mullin was fundamentally sound,,, I've seen him play in Brooklyn,Queens and Manhattan leagues ,, let me tell u something,, he was the original White Chocolate,,, dude had mad Game.. St Johns was sold out evry game when he played, he was Pete Maravich in the 80's, with better Defense....
Bird mentioned the best shooter he's ever seen was 1. Mullin 2. Curry 3. Forgot the third, I think it was Price or Miller, can't remember (in no order)
@@annie20232 I just don't understand how kids overlook Mullin as an elite shooter. him, bird, miller, peja, drazen, Hornacek shot at a fuckin elite level.
Jerry Hobbie used a two handed set shot in the early eighties playing for Fordham. He hit two 25+ footers against Michael Jordan (Fordham vs. UNC) and was voted on all the all tournament team in an early season tournament at Stanford.
It’s the Naismith Hall of Fame, not the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame. They consider contributions from college, international play, the NBA, and executive/coaching experience. That is why someone like Grant Hill is in the Hall. Mullin had a fantastic college career leading St. John’s to the Final Four. He won 2 gold medals as a member of Team USA Basketball (1984 and 1992). He also had a great NBA career where he was the face of the Warriors franchise. After retirement Mullin has been a GM and a consultant for the Warriors and a head coach at St. John’s. Tom Chambers had a nice NBA career, but he does not have the overall resume of Mullin. If this were just a Pro Basketball HOF Mullin may not be in the Hall. Chambers was also overshadowed by Barkley, KJ, and Majerle.
Just seeing this,,, Bird, Mullin, several others, Jeff Malone, too many to remember,, but the release, fingers spread, follow thru,,accuracy.,, I can get 4 to 5 out of ten. But u got to make them with a hand in ur face..
Chris Mullin demonstrated that basketball is a simple game: just put the ball in the bucket - something he did with great efficiency.

HOFer Steve Jones sail Mullin was "the master of the sleight of hand."

Reggie Miller
@@annie20232 yeah...come think of it, I think it may have been Miller. but the first 2 I definitely remember
@@brockman562 Bird also said if Miller and Mullin played together in their peaks, they would have been the original splash brothers

i gotta get me one of those things I could get a spot at a carnival.
How is he not on the 75th team
Number 69.
Mullen is an assassin.💪🏽
Mullin and Vince Carter talking about Mullin's jump shot.....I feel faint
Always been a fan of ST. JOHNS. MULLY WAS THAT GUY , CONSISTENTLY SHOOT NYLON, AND REALLY TONED HIS STREET GAME FOR THE PROS,

The Goat 🐐
One of the greatest shooters talking to one of the greatest dunkers
Steph Curry is primarily a 3 point threat,, but they are lot of players that can water the bucket..... past and present...
Nice video!

No body is guarding threes anymore?
Tom Chambers had better numbers than Chris Mullen overall. Why is TC not in the HOF? 😮
Swish.
