Sao Tome Cobra, Naja peroescobari

The Cobra on São Tomé was long thought to be introduced in modern time from the African mainland. However a recent study shows that this is an endemic species that evolved on the island. Filmed at Monte Carmo during the September 2017 AviFauna tour by Teet Sirotkin.
