His father Milton also was a legend in Camden, NJ and went on to play and win an NCAA title with Louisville and played for the 1988 Lakers team and won an NBA championship.

I’m 2002 so of course I think my class overall was the best class ever.. but there were a lot of busts & stunted growths & unused potential is what 1 article said to describe my hs class. Playing against some of the top 10 top 100 guys in my class it’s mind numbing & why parents always tell you to have a backup plan. So many cats were so good & never got paid for their trade & to me that’s the saddest part is those that put so much in & never played overseas etc & got paid for their trick of the trade.

These was my years where I was absolutely in love with basketball and wanted to make it to the league so bad. The DVD PlayStation 2 era. My 8th grade and all thru high school years was spent looking up to Lebron, Wagner, and Carmelo. My dreams did not come true but I was blessed to be alive living in Detroit and watching these brothers in college and the NBA hoping I could be next. Salute to this man and I hope his son can make the league and be what he could have been because he definitely had the talent to be an NBA legend.

If he didn't suffer from colitis, for a long career he would of been best suited to be a player coming off the bench to give you scoring.
Juanny was a beast, I was there when he scored that 80. He was stepping across halfcourt and pop! He was a good kid, he was best friends with my nephew John Allen from Coatesville, PA!

Sr was a pure scorer, elite athlete at that time. His boy is a little more polished than Sr. I didn't know that about his disease. But I can tell u that disease can be devastating to any career, especially a physical one that takes energy every single day. But like u said hes still a legend and I hope his son gets places he once dreamed of.
Watching Dajuan Wagner his Frosh year at Camden HS was his best season by far. That year he was a complete basketball player. His PG Skills was above the Charts! His following years he just became a phenomenal scoring terror assassin! 💯 💯 💯 💯
Reece Gaines dad was a baller I"m from DC and his dad name was Arnold Gaines they called him Clyde because he played like Walt Frazier Arnold was a Baltimore guy who played at Lake Clifton and i here to tell you that when Lake Clifton played DC Dunbar it was an all out war, 10 division 1 ball players were balling their asses off.
I remember him in slam magazine and since then I followed him from McDonald’s all American to Memphis to the league, if he never had that aliment no telling what his career would’ve been, he dropped 30 pts on iverson his debut against the sixers his rookie year so he was pro ready
Philly native and we heard all about Dajuan during that time & we were definitely rooting for him. I think an NBA team should’ve gave him a chance to come back and show that he fully recovered from the colitis. I was diagnosed with it in 2013 and had a flare up in 2015. Haven’t had one since and stress also makes it flare up. So I know what it feels like. Wagner must’ve had a serious case cause the last stage is to remove some of your intestine to alleviate the pain. I pray that he is fully recovered.

My dad had his ulcerative colitis infected and had a 1 in 10 chance to survive. It was a difficult process especially considering everything involved, such as medical bills, and I was only 8 years old, so I didn’t really understand the magnitude at the time when I saw him for what would’ve been the last time had he not survived. Thankfully he’s here still, but man, it can really do a number on a person.

in that era effeciency was as important for smaller scoring gaurds as it is now. I mean shit....kobe was never effecient, nor was tracy mcgrady. he was criminally ineffecient. and they were 6'7 6'8 wings. I think a healthy dujaun wagner would have been what lou williams was for houston and the clippers at bare minimum. a bucket. not quite a pg but can really score as a combo type of gaurd. playing along side lebron they would a have been tough. not saying lebron would have never left or that dujaun would have been a multiple time all star but he showed his rookie year that he could put the ball in the hole.
That’s a good comparison. He would’ve been a good 6th man in the league on a good team. Only problem is lebron is ball dominant as well and Wagner needed the ball to score.

His growth wasn't stunted. He was better than those High School players but when he got to college, he wasn't efficient then. The writing was on the wall. His game never improved from college to NBA and then suffering from that illness didn't help.
He really was that good but it was just too much going on. Father won an NCAA Title with Louisville so he was the local hero's son, then he had a legendary high school career. Ok year at Memphis then reality hit.

I mean shit....kobe was never effecient, nor was tracy mcgrady. he was criminally ineffecient. and they were 6'7 6'8 wings. I think a healthy dujaun wagner would have been what lou williams was for houston and the clippers at bare minimum. a bucket. not quite a pg but can really score as a combo type of gaurd. playing along side lebron they would a have been tough. not saying lebron would have never left or that dujaun would have been a multiple time all star but he showed his rookie year that he could put the ball in the hole.

High School Basketball hasn't been tha same since tha early 2000s
His growth wasn't stunted. He was better than those High School players but when he got to college, he wasn't efficient then. The writing was on the wall. His game never improved from college to NBA and then suffering from that illness didn't help.
