For those of you just joining us, welcome! We're Vic and Jo and we've been narrowboating around the UK for the last few years on our 54ft narrowboat Zero. Last year we decided to give up our jobs in the city and add another boat to our fleet in hope of turning it into a travelling cafe and becoming full time boating baristas.
Follow us as we learn the ins and outs of business on the water whilst cruising around the UK.

What a joy to find your latest vlog! You two are are so cheerful, positive, and informative...... but then, there is your charming addition. WILLIAM. William's raspberry injections in the script are the cutest! Oh my, as a granny myself, I bet his grannies are gaga over him! Thank you for taking us along. Happy baking!
"We've scared ourselves just filming all that."
Best comment of the vlog!
Vic, I think you should write a tour guide to the British canal system. Your descriptions are so good.
Agreed. That would be a great laugh. 😂
As soon as young William is signed on as crew, your life will become much easier. He can start as tea boy and then move up.
ps Love your content as always.
Thanks again for all of your efforts, not only for yourselves and your sweet little boy, but also for your cafe customers and those of us who enjoy every moment aboard the boats, in all aspects, with y’all!
You two are amazing, juggling two boats, a cafe business, and a baby too and all of those locks! Poor William with his sore gums, he’s such a handsome little chap and so good natured too. Gorgeous scenery and wildlife too, I look forward to your vlogs, so relaxing and informative too. Take care you 3. X
I love the combination of your lives and descriptions. It's such a joy to watch the positive outlook on your vlogs. It's such a pleasure...
Question for next week. Being that you are running two boats have you found balancing the budget is working? Have you found the Cafe is as successful as you'd hoped. Would you do it again?😊
As usual, another spectacular family adventure video. Lovely scenery, interesting little back stories, cuteness and lots of funny's from you three. William stole the show again.
Always middle-of-the-road ...saccharin and sickly sweet... wholesome pure and Clean.. apolitical..... a land when nothing bad ever happens and everybody's happy.... just like Postman Pat and his black and white cat ...he's such a happy fellow indeed😊😅👍❤
Great to see William blowing raspberries.
Reposted from a very late date on last weeks vlog
Jo and Vic have enumerated 9 things they like about Canal and Narrowboat life but I can think of one more reason that every Narrowboater can look forward to and that is.......
The distinct possibility in the course of time and if the stars are aligned in your favour. You could meet Jo Vic and young William ,have a nice slice of Lemon Drizzle cake and a cup of coffee that Tim Hortons, Costa and Starbucks are green withy envy of.
A bit late posting but I was doing as Ratty said messing about with my boats and enjoying Canada's summer at the cottage.
Cheers guys, looking forward to Coventry take care have fun ,make a fortune!
William is certainly becoming well-traveled at such a young age. And I loved him practicing his trumpet technique.
I know it's none of my business but wouldn't it be easier to both pilot a boat. No wait, there's a youngster glued to your chest so, never mind. Best of luck this weekend kids.
Can not wait till we see the Cafe in full operation next week.
OK, you got me with that crane/bird!! I really though it was really. I'm on my lunch break and you had me laughing, especially the "scary" part... that you scared yourselves filming it. Awesome!! Thanks for the video!
What a good vlog. Hard work limbering up to move 2 boats. William will soon be doing the commentary 😂 he was practicing a few words whilst blowing raspberries 🤣 Hope your weekend is a good one. ❤
What a lovely episode, William's raspberries stole the show 😃 Question- When/if you get a new narrowboat could you incorporate a café compatible kitchen so that you could live and work on one boat ?
Thanks guys. Hope the weekend goes well for you.
Most excellent Rasberries !!
Loving your work young man.
I'll throw two questions into the pile. 1) What is your backstory? (how did you meet, how long together, etc.). 2) What did you do before you went full time with Holly? (Apologies if these have been answered before, I'm a relative newbie to your channel)
Why not go back and watch in order, it makes for fascinating viewing. I did this a couple of weeks ago, loved it ❤️
I love Vic’s back pouch for his Lock Tool, NIFTY….! 👍🏻🤪 X X X
At first I thought it was a back brace, and I thought 'Oh no! He's too young to have a bad back!' When I saw the stretches I thought for sure he'd had a problem!🥺
Verry entertaining keep up these great video's!!! Of all the video's I watch each week yours is the one I look most forward to!!!
I love you guys, always good to have a laugh 😃 with. Little William is adorable.
Terrific! I 💘 coming along with you guys! Thanks for sharing.
William's raspberries suggest he'll be a trumpeter! Love you vlogs - thanks for sharing and I wish you every success in your chosen lifestyle.
It was lovely to meet you both at the canal basin, delicious food and latte. I hope William let you get some sleep last night 😉 I hope you'll have a busy day today with the sunshine. We'll hopefully see you again when you are close, can't beat a bit of delicious Victoria sponge cake 🍰☕ I hope the teething ring helps William x
Nice suprise the Holly crew popping up on radio 4 last night.
Love your vlogs they are so informative how you manage two boats amaze me.❤️❤️❤️
Congratulations you made it to Coventry🤗🍦🍦
Good luck for the weekend love Williams talking & blowing raspberries 👶🤗🤗
Love Sue❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
I know you are media people but that entry to Coventry was really beautiful, all those cuts. Hope the weekend goes well.
Great, William! Now I’m craving raspberries. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the magic
See you Sunday 🙂
Hopefully going to be able to sample one of Jo's cakes and a coffee sometime over the weekend, looking forward to meeting you both
If you ever need a cut away to tie two totally different bits together, one of William's raspberries would do it just fab. Fantastic vlog and thank you very much.
Well done , great vlog.
💯 Snazzy vibes 🤩😇✨
I would butty up or tow and take through the locks separately, this keeps the boats moving together.
Hello lovely humans….. I’m enjoying spending a portion of my evening with you, after a long day in the garden. Soon I’ll be heading out for Canada Day fireworks. Question for your upcoming Q&A….. when William is older will you be homeschooling him as you travel? If so, what are the homeschooling regulations in England? I hope that you have a fantastic weekend.
i did not know that you would be in Coventry i would have loved to have said hello and to thank you for all the entertainment you have given me over the winter months anyway wise you all the best peter.
I want to thank-you for showing me your beautiful countryside and towns, real England. You’re a pleasant good looking young family , a joy to watch. I always look forward to the next video. God Bless you Three.
Fooled me with that heron, too…. Good likeness🤣…. Hope you have a prosperous weekend💜
Delightful video, as usual. Thanks for letting us see a bit of your canal life. BTW, William is getting quite verbal as well as cute.
William, congratulations on that first tooth. Congratulations to Mom and Dad for surviving his first tooth! So pretty there. Very dry and hot here. Nice to live vicariously through your videos. Always amazed at how much William has grown. Safe travels and good luck with all your future sales
Who taught William those raspberries!! Loved that part of the video, on point. Have a great weekend xx
Well done again, hope you have a fantastic weekend xx
What a beautiful Family ❤
We love your videos.
Gail and Graham (Australia)
Love everything you do! I wish I could get to England and try your scones-maybe some day! My question is, What are you hoping William will learn/understand from the experience of growing up on a boat? I think you are amazing parents and people and I’m loving watching William grow. I have a grandson just a few weeks older.
Vic, I didn't realise you were so good at tennis!
(Fritz playing in Wimbledon is your double!)
William blowing raspberries is awesome! More please, William.
Good luck! Have a great weekend
Breath of fresh air nice
Glad you made it to Cov in time. Another great vlog 👍
A very big "Thank You" for such a warm welcome today, it was a pleasure to finally meet you. It would have been nice to have had a longer chat but I'm sure the queue behind wouldn't have been impressed standing out there in the showers!! OK so I suppose you would like us to rate the food and drink? My Latte.. 10/10.. and if it helps, it was way, way better than any latte that I have tasted previously. Karen's Cappuccino got a 10/10 (with the same additional comments). The Victoria sponge cake... let's just say, if you were having a quiet day and there were "left-overs", I would have bought the whole cake to take home!! Karen's coffee and walnut cake, 10/10 ... delicious !!!! All the best to you.
Wondering how intrusive you find sharing your lives? Do you set boundaries? .... things you do not show/ talk about etc. ? Looking forward to setting sail ourselves later this year and love the videos for the inspiration ~ Thanks Guys and hope to see floating around one day ~ All best ~
10/10 really good episode.
Was sorry to have missed you, we live in Coventry but are out cruising on our boat throughout July. Coventry receives much bad publicity by bloggers, you observations were a welcome change.
Hi you too iv just joined your blog with reference to my brother kev am absolutely 💯 delighted to get to no you all and to follow you on your journeys. Love to all xxxxx
Hi there another great vlog Looked like a busy time for you, William looks like he is growing up fast he will be helming the boat in no time. So Jo you will have a bit more time to your self and you can bake more sell more and get really rich. Vic you had me sweating watching you work out, looking forward to your next vlog stay well and safe Ed 40 S of Vegasxxxx
A great vlog, something for everyone. Take care.
Great video - always good to see major towns & cities from a different perspective. Nice to see William and Vic sporting the same hairstyle half way through!!!
Hi Vic, Jo and William, great video. Loved hearing William talk, Vic you must love that he can say DaDa🤗 . He is great at blowing raspberries. 🤭 I'm curious how things will work when William starts walking? Will he be outside while the boat is moving and will he have a life jacket on? I'm a bit of a worry wart then I think of the old working boats and the families that lived on the boats in one tiny room. Have a great week.
Fun and amazing as always❤️❤️
Another brilliant vlog. I hope you have a fantastic weekend
Loved it XX
You guys are incredible!
Great video 😊 love the bridge countdown into Coventry
all those raspberries :D , top work William
Excellent video. Enjoyed it immensely
Nice video we were the VLKs 😁
That was a journey, that was!! Loved it!
Loved 😍
Everything
Well done👍👍
William didn't seem to think too much of the prospect of looking at a ruined castle. Maybe when he gets older.
Sounds like so much fun in the summer with all the festivals! 🤗
Happy journeys!
Partner and I are looking to get into the boatlife this year, we have a 4 month old but your videos inspire us and keep our dream alive 😊 thanks and keep up the vids!
Oh I loved this video. William blowing bubbles.I laughed and laughed. I thought the bird was real. Thanks for a wonderful video. Next time.
Have a great weekend in Coventry. great vlog 😊
Another beautiful video as always.
Living the dream!
I enjoyed that! Every minute was a pleasure to experience.
Just a great vibe and excellent editing to boot!
Great to see you cruising again and lovely how you've incorporated William into the vlog. Love his raspberries - what a star. How many times have I identified a fake Heron, then the perisher moves. xx
You crack me up!! Love the videos❤❤
Bill is such a hoot!
What a joy… really loved this vlog…whew, you made it!
Great vlog as always. Absolutely love your lifestyle. Best wishes.
Binge watched all of your videos, brilliant to see you so happy Vic! Massive congratulations and sending you all the love! Makes a difference from Roscoe Street hanging out at Uni 😂 Take care of yourselves, you lovely lot xx
Little fun fact that has nothing to do with anything other than I thought you might be amused. I shave horses for a living here in Florida and I did a filly out of a mare called How About Zero. The named the filly Absolutely Zero who is two for two wins at Santa Anita with the most recent win in a stake race against the colts.
Hey welcome to Coventry, hope it treated you well, we are not as bad as people make us out to be :)
From Atherstone to Coventry and the Ashby is my wintering spot for my boat. A good stretch and no locks. On the way from Hawksbury to the basin we normally see how many coconuts we can spot in the canal.
Dribbling and cold like symptoms are synonymous with teething. If you think sleep was hard to come by thus far, your sleepless nights are just beginning. 😂
Loved all of the noises Bill is making. Such a great time.
As for questions...
What's the worst mistake you have made on the boats?
We have seen you bake bread for yourself what abput for selling and or for making bacon sarnies?
You do make a great team all 3 of you.
Wishing you all a good time at your food Festival and lots 8f business
Question: Have you seen any Giant Hogweed on the canal side this year? It's in season now. It's very distinctive. Grows near water. Be careful as it's also the UK's most dangerous invasive plant. It can cause third degree burns and the effscts can last for seven years. Not many people know about it yet but you'll find plenty of information online.
I enjoyed the travel to Coventry. What a chore to get two narrowboats and a canoe from place to place! I know you'll have great success in town this weekend. Best of luck!
This was my catch-up night and what a treat! It just keeps getting better and better. Your smiles are wonderful and the videography is delightful. You see and share so much I feel the need to watch each episode more than once! I'm anxious to view the BIG DAY at Coventry (or is it days?).
Great video both. I really like your editing style. Hope your weekend was successful!! Cheers
Loved the video it looked like hard work bless. Glad you made it Coventry in good time. William is such a laid back little boy. He seems to have fitted in with your life style wonderfully. Hope you have great time and sell lots of your delicious cakes.
Great to meet you on the way down Atherstone locks we was one of the many working boats👍
