Prior to Hooley House it was Steak On A Stone. I used to lead motorcycle rides to that location. Sad to see another business leave.

Love your videos. Ate at that place last winter. Set up front. Get yourself some good hiking boots to protect your feet from things you can't see. Something to protect yourself. You opened that door and I thought of a hobo jumping out and saying boo!

I'm glad the Hooley House in Mentor is still open. The Quaker Steak and Lube across the street and the TGI Friday's is closed. So sad.

Great video! My only experience with hooley house was at the brooklyn location about 15 years ago. I had one beer on tap and ended up getting sick from it and a screamin migraine. I don't think the tap lines were cleaned often. Im glad i don't drink anymore haha.
Yes. It was a $hithole! There 'was' a place in Buckhead outside Atlanta called Fado Fado that was a REAL Irish pub disassembled and brought over for the '96 Olympics. They had a Guiness rep come out DAILY to flush the lines and maintain purity. I'll tell you this. That was the BEST Guiness I've EVER had in the US. ANYWHERE. Before or since.

This location reminds me of Shenanigans in the movie "Waiting". If you havent seen Waiting, I highly recommend it.

That must have been a fun place in it's prime. I actually salvaged several vintage, cast iron ceiling fans from a closed Irish pub. Oh, and that round object by the dumpsters appears to be the stand for a patio umbrella.
I used to love going to this specific one. They changed a lot of their food after Covid and I lost interest mostly. My highschool friends and I would meet there about 7-8 years ago after we were all graduated.
Covid had nothing to do with this restraunt closing.... Biden did this
When they first opened they were AMAZING. The last 2 times were so bad I would feel safer going there now then when they were still serving, lol.

I recorded in Fairlawn today, go get them Rite Aids. Also that Montrose hill, I was an overnight security guard when they were building one of the hotels there.

I seemed to remember Hooley House also took over the old Don Pablo's in Brooklyn, Ohio. Wonder if they were still in there now.

I would love to own hooley house I would do all the maintenance and upgrades it would be a great place and I would make it a family type atmosphere I'm going to check into it
And be careful of the ticks and Japanese Beatles and wolf spiders
