luckily i've mostly contained the online shopping bug to just books, but phwew i spend so much time browsing artists' shops online to buy prints and stickers
so i read Howl's Moving Castle before watching the movie and it became one of my favorite books ever and it's definitely a book i would recommend to anyone at any age; but don't go read the book expecting to be the same as the movie. In my honest opinion the book story is way better. It's more complex, complete and it's not as romantic as the movie, the characters have better development and really strong personalities; also i feel like there are things that are not well explored in the movie which could be confusing at first watch, while in the book everything can be comprehended by the end of it. Yeah, that's it, the book is awesome and the movie is really good, but it's totally miyazaki style, so it is quite different from the original story (It worths by the aesthetic though).
I love those editions of Harry Potter! I’m also in the middle of an HP reread, except I bought the illustrated editions... I’m a sucker for pretty books 🙈

Walter Moers created a very special world there.

City of dreaming books is part of a series. You don’t have to read the others first, but characters from the others keep popping up. Loved every book in the series!

I also bought the ballad of songbirds and snakes, and that’s what I’m currently reading and it’s so good! There are three parts and I’m currently in part 2. ohmygoshhh sameee me and this boy in my class in 5th grade loved to read! Our school library didn't have a lot of English books but (we were both originally from 🇺🇸but moved to 🇹🇼) there was one Percy Jackson book and he said I HAD to read it and that it wasn't as scary as the cover suggested (it must've been the 1st edition cause it was an old white paperback with gruesome realistic Greek monsters on the cover) I fell in love with the series and he let me borrow the rest of the books. Sadly he moved away after one semester, but I'm thankful he introduced those books to me. And whenever I reread them I wonder where he is now.
You can get Toll in paperback on book depository! I ordered it on preorder and it came out the same day as the hard back. I also do not like to have books in the same series in different formats.

i really recommend The Distance From Me To You by Marina Gessner! it’s one of my favorite books I have ever read and it’s super easy to read. it has a good love story and has the main character trying to find her female empowerment within herself while she hikes the Appalachian trail!!
