Ronnie O'Sullivan won his fifth UK Championship and his 27th ranking title by defeating Judd Trump 10-9 in the final. Trump had trailed 4-9 at one point during the evening session but fought back with 5 consecutive frames to level at 9-9 before O’Sullivan won the deciding frame. Ronnie O'Sullivan made the 109th official maximum break during his last 16 match against Matthew Selt. This was O'Sullivan's 13th official 147 break and also the fourth maximum break in the 2014/2015 season and the third time in a row that a maximum was made in a UK Championship.

Yeah I'm not sure depending how you look at it that played much of the 2013 season. He played some magic in 2004 and 2008 wsc but he was in a different universe at 2012 wsc. Nobody's A game would have touched him around that time. Every part of his game was just obsurd...
Ronnie O'Sullivan in 2014 had a good year winning the Masters and then the Welsh Open. But Mark Selby taught Ronnie a lesson at the Crucible, coming from 10-5 behind to win 18-14. So Ronnie was determined to win the UK title which he has won four times, the last of these was 2007. On the back of his recent tournament win in Coventry, he beat Ben Woollaston, a previous Welsh Open finalist (I think he lost to John Higgins) and then Matthew Selt where he made a maximum, his second of the calendar year after the one he made in Newport against Ding Junhui in the Welsh Open final. Ronnie faced 2011 UK champion Judd Trump after edging out subsequent world champion, Stuart Bingham in the semi final. The former led 9-4 but then we were treated to the talents of a future world champion, winning the next five frames, taking it to a decider for the first time since the epic John Higgins/Mark Williams final of 2010. It was Judd Trump's missed escape that led Ronnie (who had lost the last five frames, having led 9-4 and was feeling the effects of the Crucible defeat back in May) somehow managed to get over the line and settled the matter, 10-9, his fifth UK title.
Bingham 4:1 up and cruising playing well, some of his misses after were dodgy to say the least. He definitely backed O Sullivan. Bent as fuck is our Stuart. Crook.

Why did it switch to Bingham? I like the other players but if I wanted to watch other players I would just watch the audience when Ronnies playing.
no discredit to all the other players, but watching ronnie at work (when he's hungry) is just sublime.crowd favorite and a players player.
