I just realized that Silco's scenes of serenity as he was drowning directly mirrors Powder falling after the arcane monkey bomb exploded. Chaos and serenity, perfectly setting up the entire idea of who she is.
It also shows that Silco and Powder/Jinx are cut from the same cloth just as much as Vander and Vi are. Also notice how Powder, Vi, Vander and Silco all have scenes where they freeze up when their PTSD is triggered.
@@aspieanarchist5439 I mean it also gives a dark reflection into what could happen if the sisterly bond between Vi and Powder were pushed too far. Vander and Silco mirror Vi and Powder's relationship, Vander being the older, more responsible brother, wanting to keep his family safe at all costs, where Silco is the younger, chaotic brother, wanting to help, and cause the change he wants to see in life at the cost of everything and everyone around him. It is likely a foreshadowing of what is to come in some way, with Silco eventually having come around to Vander's viewpoints in the end, much like Powder likely will in the future, hopefully without Vi perishing in the process.
That Silco and Powder interaction at the end was incredibly well done. He intended to kill Powder with his knife after getting info on where Vi went, but when Powder hugged him and said "She left me. She is NOT my sister anymore.", Silco saw himself in Powder. To both of them, Vi betrayed and abandoned her sister similar to how Vander betrayed Silco who was like a brother to him (he realized the comparison as he stared at Vander's body).
I think it's safe to say that Powder was heavily traumatized by that day on the bridge when Vander led the underground against the Topsiders, even though Violet tried to protect her from seeing it. So, after losing her parents, she latched onto her sister to keep herself stable. She wants to be useful, and being told by Violet that she isn't ready, and then being left behind unable to do anything was really weighing on her emotionally. Seeing magic crystals and remembering what one caused the explosion, her first thought was that she could be useful, not about how dangerous that explosion was. So she made some modifications to the monkey and rushed over there to help. After she accidentally killed Mylo, Claggor and eventually Vander, and realized it, she immediately broke down again, and when her sister lashed out at her and left to cool down after hitting her- Vi was just leaving *her* in her eyes. And that broke her. Then when Silco came along and seemed concerned about her, she rushed to him for comfort, even if she knew who he was. I think Silco, in that moment when he heard that Violet had left Powder, felt a kinship with her, knowing the pain of betrayal from someone close to him. For Powder it was her actual sister, and for Silco it was Vander when he tried to kill him.
I honestly liked how Silco's reaction to Powder clinging to him wasn't just him realizing he could use her but instead him actually being genuinely affected by her pain
I don’t play league of legends but my friends who are a huge fan wanted me to watch this. This show and episode took a turn I did not expect. Honestly me not knowing the characters from the game made this show/experience even better. This show is amazing.

I absolutely had 0 knowledge of League of Legends when I started the show and that ending scene with Powder and Silco made my jaw dropped. like, wait hold on we followed Villain Origin story???
Powder has separation anxiety and anxious attachment disorder, that's why she's always clinging do Vi and when Vi said "you're not ready" It cut her deep because it confirmed all her fears and doubts of herself not being good enough to go with their crew or be apart of her family; she thought she was so unworthy that her sister had to leave her behind. She broke down and started destroying her own creations, which is a characteristic of disorganized attachment disorder who often destroy their own things. She launched herself at Silco because any affection she could get was good enough, she just couldn't be alone. Credits to "Aanya Mallick 🇯🇲" for the breakdown, I read that on an other reaction I hope you get ro read and like it 😁
10:27 I LOVE THAT YOU REALIZE THIS. After watching so many reaction channels; a lot of people hate on Powder and her decisions, not even being able to place themselves in her shoes. Not only is Vi possibly not coming back, but now she’s also aware Vander and Benzo are gone, plus Mylo and Claggor are going with Vi. She’s literally out of humans (as far as the show has shown us). The last time Vi talked to her (before attempting to give herself up) she says the opposite of what she says here; “keep trying, you don’t need to be a fighter, your traps are gonna work one day,” only to completely shut her down during this interaction. Not to say Vi’s “bad” for doing this, because obviously I wouldn’t want my little sister any where near this situation either, I’m just saying I appreciate the consideration of Powder’s character as well.
This is one of the best series I've ever seen, the animation, score and amazing story is mind blowing. It's a shame we don't get this much effort in other series, a true diamond in the rough. Can't wait for season 2 hopefully it doesn't take 6 years but I'd be happy to wait if season 2 is this good. Excited to see what you think after you finish the show, only gets better from here.
Every episode of Arcane is the best animated show I've ever seen. It might be the best show I've ever seen period. There might be a better show but I can't think of one. This is as close to perfection I've ever seen in fiction.
I love the scene of Silco and Jinx. No spoilers! But it gets better! This episode was bomb! I got hooked and binged it in a day! Your gonna love it! Arcane is a MASTERPEICE!
SInce I have seen that you've finished, Due to a little scene at the end and the sort of Sounds he makes while under the Influence of Shimmer, there is a good amount of Evidence that Vander might come back - as Warwick
Yup and if that’s the case ww and nasus are brothers which means silco would become nasus buuuuuuut with how it ended idk, might be differnt from canon
I barely made it through the first 2 episodes, but decided to watch 1 more, and so glad I did. After E3 there was no turning back. Now I'm over here jonzing for S2.
Well, Vi made Jinx...Vi never start listen to vander advices and here concecvenses ...It start with enforcers come in Zaun and end with fucking up her younger sister(most important person in Vi life)
It's not really Vi that created Jinx. It's the situation they both found themselves in and the shared trauma they had. You have to remember that Vi is also still a kid/young teen. The thing about this show is that it shows really well that no one really is at fault, that everyone tries to do well and that it sometimes leads to unforeseen things with bad outcomes.

Your voice is nice and crisp but yeah I can hear a lot more "room sound". If your back wall is anything to go by then I'd guess your room is pretty bouncy for sound. Do you have any sound dampening on the wall you are looking/talking at? That can do a lot to help with room sound and it can be janky as heck because we can't see it ;)
It`s not so much that they hate eachother as Jinx hates Vi for abandoning Powder in her eyes even though that is not exactly what actually happened but when you`re that young and traumatized perception is a powerful thing and if a child`s sense of self-worth is destroyed so completely their mind will never be whole again(Especially a child like Powder who was so dependent on her big sister and adoptive family the Lanes after their parents were killed by Enforcers) and Vi loved Powder but hates what she`s become and blames herself for it(As does Powder/Jinx herself).
Brother! I've been watching your reactions for so long haha, what's your LoL tag?! I'd love to play with you sometime. All good if you wanna keep it private though my G.
Please react to The Crow (1994), Brandon Lee is the lead actor he is the son of Bruce Lee, it’s an amazing movie. This is Brandon Lee tragic performance, Lee got shot with pieces of residue from a blank bullet still stuck in the chamber of the prop gun, the prop crew didn’t clean the gun and didn’t check if the gun still had any residue which it did. The director and crew and actors all though that the scene went as planned but they saw Brandon on ground for a couple of minutes they thought he was playing a joke or something but he wasn’t, they walk towards him and turn him and see that Brandon was really shot for real so they rushed him to the hospital where doctors performed surgery but after they told the crew that Brandon Lee had passed away on March 31, 1993 Brandon Lee was only 28 years old. They still went ahead and finished the movie but some scenes are not Brandon they used his body double to finish the movie but they CGI his face.

Silco thinks drowning in the water gave him the power to be who he is now.. so the question will be.. is blood thicker than water for jinx??

What I like is the fact that u can see that silco takes powder in not because he wants to just manipulate her, but because he relates to her
Loved this episode. Powder/Jinx definitely been through some stuff
1. Markus actually saved VI because Silco would have killed Vi if she runned back
I agree episode 3 is pretty good but 7 is the best for me and 9 compete with them both for best episode but they all are very well done.
Those three are my favorite episodes as well
Honestly this episode just made me want to hug $ hold jinx and tell her it wasn't her fault 😥

Why would you call Jinx Jinx before she was Jinx 18.53 ? Her name is powder at that point
This episode broke me not gonna lite. I also didn’t want to finish the series.
