Uh Ohhhhh Those rumors about Duke’s demise were greatly exaggerated! Some of you goofs are just so quick to throw in the towel after one game. Yea people aren't smart take away two starters from any team and I bet you they all would struggle. I know we're better than UNC we just have to be healthy. Unfortunately I know Roach won't play the next two games so will he be ready 2/3/24
The offense is looking better and better. I See. Scheyer put in some new sets with some great options. Executed very well.. However..... the defense was horrible.. very inconsistent.. 1st off. I Hope and pray Jeremy's ankle is OK and is able to go Saturday.... Louisville is HORRIBLE. our Driving line defense was very very bad. There's no way if Duke wants to win their Conference or advance far in the NCAA . They can't let players get into the Lane the way we saw over and over last nite. This isn't even a good team and we let them stay in the game.. yes Duke won because we have more superior talent that they couldn't handle.. the ball pressure was nonexistent.. we've got to Defend!!!! There's no way Kyle shouldn't have Dominated yesterday.. too much settling foe 3s and jumpsuits instead of attacking Louisville.. stats don't lie. He had about 7 pts at half, and didn't shoot a free throw until mid second half.. If we were playing North Carolina last nite we woulda got Grilled by 20+ Dukies better get it together fast !!! Were in Late January. We play 2 very good teams Saturday and Monday. U play Defense like this... that's 2 more losses... GOTTA DO BETTER ON DEFENSE DUKE!!
yea duke's defense needs work, they couldnt stop pitt.duke is shooting too much from the outside not enough driving to the basket.duke should have one man drive to the basket and draw in defenders. then have another man run into the paint. and have the guy with the ball give it to him. duke did that against unlv in 91 and it helped them beat unlv.
Agree the defense needs a lot of work but will add Louisville has been pretty good offensively in conference. They cannot stop anyone defensively though.
Facts i feel like he needs to ditch the three guard lineups so much play another forward even for 10 minutes we too small imo but the offense could carry us 🤷🏾♂️ either way i still think we’ll be better by march
@kizanry100 I agree that we'll be much better in March. But idk about ditching the 3 guard lineup.. we don't really have another forward or center that is ready to do that without exposing us more on Defense with matchup.. other wise he would start Ryan and Kyle with Marc. But I do think all our guards think because they are guards they don't have rebounding responsibilities. And THEY DO.. so hopefully that's emphasized in practice every Day
