This is a great video to post the day before global release. Was interested in this but glad to have a video covering how it works and specific decks to look for. Appreciated.
@@hokage9990That’s what I heard too. Really hope that’s true. I still don’t know which to start with I’m leaning towards Charizard because I feel like exeggutor is better than arcanine and maraowak.
"Pikachu is the worst pack to be opening" Me, who opened almost exclusively Pikachu for my first week during the soft launch because I thought the only difference was the EXs and full arts that showed above the pack: "oh" I'm glad others have these videos available for them now 😅
My experience through the soft launch f2p was open mewtwo until I had koffing weezing then Charizard for greninja line. Used pack points to get supporters like Sabrina and Giovanni and that gave me a lot of respectable decks fairly quickly. Excellent review and looking forward to more content after the full launch!
@@lightskinjayt2627i think in this case the “Koffing Weezing Line” is one thing, and “Greninja Line” is another completely different. For the Weezing line you are looking to play aside with Koga, and the Greninja line would be just Froakie, Frogadier and Greninja itself
I reached the same conclusion and have been baffled by people saying Mewtwo was the best pack. It has good cards, but it is kind of limited with the decks it offers by itself. As for my choices, I went for tutorial Mewtwo for the fighting starter deck, and opened only Charizard until I got Greninja, since I recognized from watching you that it offered a playstyle I really enjoyed and wasn't locked down to a single deck like a lot of the EX Pokemon. I was able to complete all the solo challenges with what I obtained, and Alakazam was perfect for the "use low rarity cards" missions.
for fun ill be going for wherever gyrados adjacent cards are, always loved that wormy dragon boy. but this is a good guide for when im done with the joy hunting and wanna be more efficient
If you plan on completely min maxing your packs note that there is a spreadsheet that allows you to do that. Many plp in the community have posted it , good luck to everyone.
Great breakdown. I saw people on the internet suggesting focusing on the Pikachu Pack from the start because Pika EX ist currently the "best" deck. Which is only good advice if you really care about winning 0.5% of you games more
Was very nervous going into the video as I had no idea this existed and had already ripped like 30some packs open haha. Turns out I must be lucky! Picked Pikachu first and got the Arcanine EX so I just started pulling Charizard packs because I wanted Charizard. It worked! I actually have all the EX from the Charizard pack, so I saw this at the perfect time to switch over to Mewtwo now and just use points to grab Greninja. I couldn't really get used to Snap and I am not the biggest Marvel fan, but I was so psyched to check out a new Pokemon TCG when I saw you pick it up. Can't wait to keep following along!
I think i'd go with pikachu first, pikachu EX is currently the strongest deck and almost all the cards you need are in pikachu boosters, id probably then go to mewtwo and go to Charizard last. not to be contrarian but the best card in the Charizard packs is Charizard and it's not actually that good. it does have the highest density of 'OK' cards but that's only really helpful if you want to play a variety of decks which is a luxury for whales IMO, if you are looking to play as cheaply as possible i think looking to make one really good deck like pikachu EX is the way to go.
I've lost more times than I'd like due to that Dragonite. If you get that thing built up, it'll take out your opponents less protected bench and get you crazy victories by doing 200 damage consistently spread out between your opponents side with little draw back. The only bad thing about it is that the energy it needs doesn't sync well with current decks, but that doesn't matter too much. I'm running a Venusaur EX/ Gyarados(+Misty) Deck and that Dragonite one shot my prepped Gyarados for 150 damage while he was still sitting on the bench! All of that preparation was wasted. Pokemon defeated on the bench still count as defeated, so I not only lost my Gyarados, but 2 points due to the move doing the remaining 50 damage to another benched Pokemon that wasn't evolved yet. I'm not pulling on any other sets until I've gotten that Dragonite card
Think I'm bee-lining for Gengar EX, because Gengar is my favorite Pokemon :D I believe it's in the Mewtwo pack, but haven't look up the rates (waiting for the full release tomorrow!)
Glad to see you making content for Pokemon Pocket. Never had an interest in marvel so when you stopped playing magic I missed being able to watch your content.
I talked about what we know of the early economy here: ruclips.net/video/7G9rverMtf4/видео.html The average case seems reasonable, but low rolls can feel bad. Need to know trading details that are still forthcoming.
I was watching you in your magic era and used to love the decks you build, missed you through marvel snap cause it wasn't my thing. I m glad to watch your videos again, good luck !
Imo mewtwo actualy is the best pack. Because most ex in that pact actualy meta RN. Mew two EX only need 2 ex card. Venusaur ex. Still strong even if you only have 1 executor ex. Articuno still playable without starmie EX. (Super RNG with misty) While Charizard yes actually have better card. But mewtwo actualy have more flexibility in deck building.
If you're talking about meta picks, Venusaur lines up very poorly into all of the popular EX decks. It seems solid into people playing single knock points decks, but those are less popular during the soft launch at least. Articuno also isn't very good by the stats. Very much disagree with everything here basically cept for the fact that Mewtwo is good yes.
I feel like you should mention that Pickachu/Zapdos/Mewtwo are the top of the meta right now, so while you have a bigger grab at strong cards from charizard packs you can simply use your coins to grab the supporters from charizard packs when needed and they pull for the top of the meta.
The metagame for pocket is incredibly underdeveloped. Pikachu has had some early tournament wins, but that is expected for a linear aggressive deck. It's overall win rate hasn't been markedly better than other things.

It actually is supposed to release in like 3 hours but we’ll see if that’s true

Can you run down the koffing weeding geninja line? If you don’t mind

@ appreciate you, I haven’t watched much of the soft release but I’m excited to play tomorrow and just want to be as optimal as possible

Solid video and the editing is really superb, looking forward to getting more pokemon pocket content!
I went heavy into charizard packs because I wanted that Starmie, Greninja line. Only pulled Pikachu till I got Blastoise because he's my favorite.
Oh man, Arcanine + Squirtle are some of my favorite Pokemon. Definitely want those ones.
for fun ill be going for wherever gyrados adjacent cards are, always loved that wormy dragon boy. but this is a good guide for when im done with the joy hunting and wanna be more efficient
My plan as well lol
As someone who tunes into your snap content, I'm very happy to know you'll be tackling this as well! Thank you!

Where
This was my favorite channel when I played a lot of Snap. Now I'm happy I'm already camping out here on day one
Jeff your pokemon editor is ON POINT
They are very good at what they do.

So only good for rerollers

I wish I had seen this before playing last night. Regardless thank you for the video and I’ll be subscribing.

thanks for the knowledge
Thx for the infos🎉
Went with Mewtwo packs and got regular Gengar, Mewtwo Ex and crown rarity Charizard Ex 🤩
Would you say that the game is free to play friendly in the sense of I don’t care about the artwork I just wanna be able to have all the game pieces?

I really want squirtle 😂 I love him
Is Blastoise deck good?
There is not a known good blastoise deck currently.
once i buy all 10 shop hourglasses can i never buy them again or will it reset?
They've shared it will reset tomorrow at the start of the month, so assuming monthly going forward.
Very good starter guide
Comment sacrifice for the engagement gods!
Watching this after opening everything I can😭 still got the EX mewtwo and both EX charzards
Okay outro on point
I was watching you in your magic era and used to love the decks you build, missed you through marvel snap cause it wasn't my thing. I m glad to watch your videos again, good luck !
This was very helpful. Thank you. Can you do a video on how the dusting system works?
At some point. The "dusting" is only for getting cosmetic effects and you can only get rid of extra copies past a "play set" of two.
Good to know. Was hoping that i’d be able to dust to get cards to play the game.
@@JoeRyuKen as I understand it you will be able to trade extra copies of your cards to other players in a future update (Hopefully soon).
damn i wish i watched this vid just before opening my packs

Man, I've been opening Charizard packs and haven't seen a Khangiskhan once...
I am such a fortunate guy bc I literally just collect
Couldn't give less of a damn what decks I build I will just get all the art I want
I just want a single full art sabrina 😢 i want to start opening mewtwo soon.
Does it come out on the 30th or the 31st ?
Already out
Out now.
Charizard packs for me for a bit
Whats that outro song? Pretty catchy!
I'm gonna full send on Alakazam/Greninja
I only pull on Pikachu packs huhu
Hey guys is there a timer or something so I know when to start playing thanks
Game is live now.
I don't see a budget decks video on your channel?
Just best non-ex cards and a bunch of individual deck videos.
It'll be up shortly! We ended up posting this one earlier than planned because Pocket went global sooner than expected.
So where blastoise at
Pika packs, but he isn't very good, unfortunately.
Algorithms!
Jeff, would ypu be playing bloons card storm?
It feels fun and just released yesterday.
Doesn't look like there are any metrics for it on Twitch, so likely won't get around to it outside of sponsored opportunities in the short term.
@HooglandiaPocket aw man :( hopefully u get sponsored
