Another great interview! So fascinating to hear him talk about the deep influence En Vogue has on Beyonce. It makes so much sense. I think Frank is preaching to the choir...we do want all 5 of them to come together, make great magic and phat coins! Then go their separate ways in between shows. Isn't that what SWV does?
Thanks for this interview EnVogueCraze. I wonder what June's Diary is doing right now since they've been inactive, at least on social media. I hope they're still together. @3:42 I agree with Frank I love vocal quintets and I agree 5 people in a group is a production especially if they're all great dancers. Also, @15:11 Frank we did have a good looking, Black male vocal quintet out named Next Town Down. They were basically a male version of June's Diary. They had good music and solid live performances but like JD they didn't receive major support and ended up breaking up. I want EV5 as well Frank @4:50! lol. I wish Frank would drop the EV5 Sylvia Rhona tribute rehearsal footage he has @5:47 lol. I thought after the Sylvia Rhona tribute that they would take off. I too wanted to see EV5 expand @37:07 in Coming 2 America. on the Masked Singer, performing for NYE, etc. Hopefully one day they'll finally see eye to eye and reunite.
Great minds think alike. I post this and say this all the time. We dont have to love each other. We just need to respect each other, enjoy what we do and make this money. This is a business. Not a family reunion.
The Whatever music video got them in big trouble for plagiarism and they paid dearly to keep things quiet. I think the SNL performance was pulled to avoid further backlash, because it may have contained ideas and visuals from the video. Why else would they pull it when they clearly need to promote the single? Maybe Frank forgot the real reason, or that he's not supposed to reveal it.
"The director of swing group En Vogue's latest video has had to apologise and offer compensation to one of British fashion's hottest photographers for stealing the idea for the video from a shoot in The Face magazine." "Matthew Rolston, one of Hollywood's most established celebrity photographers, has admitted "borrowing too heavily" from a series of gothic fashion photographs by Sean Ellis." "After being threatened with court action for breach of copyright, Mr Rolston has agreed to settle out of court and pay Mr Ellis the equivalent of a day's shooting fee in exchange for using the images. Photographers at Mr Ellis' level can earn pounds 20,000 a day."
@@damnnative3188 lets do the math -- Rolston paid S. Ellis a day's shooting fee, which costed between $500K - 2 mill. Sounds pretty dearly to me, dear. Also, LOL @ "borrowing too heavily" -- if you reference exhibit A & B, you would see Rolston blatantly stole every shot from S. Ellis. What's really sad to me is EV cut all ties w Rolston and he hasnt worked w the ladies since that incident.
Meh. He always has some of the worst takes ever, as we've seen previously on the Funky Divas podcast. He says a lot without really saying anything. Great job from the En Vogue Fancast, as always! 👍
I agree they should be the biggest group in the world. Best group of all time.
EnVogue WAS ON THEIR WAY to being the biggest group in the world
Someone needs to upload THE WHOLE PERFORMANCE of EnVogue at the Sylvia Rhone event.
I totally agree, EN Vogue is the greatest group, ever.
I love me some Frank Gatson. I will be listening to this whole thing when I get home!!
The MAGIC is in the 4 … The Sound Exist There 🖤🖤🖤🖤🙏🏾

I loved EVs fashion shift during the EV3 era!

Yes, Frank, it should be ALL 5 of members! Do it for the money!
FACTS!!!! Hey Romelo!!
@@notabyrd07 Hey babycakez!
Doing it for the money it's not what it's about.
@@iampause It's part of it IMO. But tell me, what is it about then?
@@iampauseDawn Robinson would disagree.

They did not get in "big trouble." They did not "pay dearly."
Stop lying.
