This really is amazing but I hope Dayz or the Dayz editor team somehow make it so that you can remove buildings on the map and also so that you can spawn all the objects which have the bldr tag on it.
You can remove buildings in editor. Building locations might be in a map group file you could delete idk tho

@@TheRealTDog Yeah I know you can like literally remove buildings but exporting a file with removed buildings to a .json object spawner file doesn't work; console doesn't allow for buildings on the map to be removed

Get the companion mod "DayZ-Editor Loader" and install on private server. This will give you the ability to automatically import ALL deletions AND additions from your offline mode to your server to play with friends

json file added to custom. cfg gameplay codeline added: SpawnerArrr with Custom Json name included correctly. General settings activated cfg gameplay enabled. Any ideas why not spawning ?

Make sure when you're done editing, to save your file as a .dze file, and save to the Editor files folder in your server. Done! The mods automatically add the objects and structures in their orientations (YPR) with coordinates. Exports and loads automatically!
after subscribbing on steam how do we launch the editor. already subbed the other required folders but i cant start it.

I think ive just confused myself trying to do this. I was playing around, tried to add the xmas tree spawns and now a bunch of cars are spawning at them instead of trees and sleighs
So first off, thanks for the detailed videos. Helps with understanding quite a bit of stuff. I do play and run a server on PC. During the process of adding to my server what I have created in DayZ Editor the way you state to add it to the server did not work for me. What I did find was adding the .dze file to the server. I did not remove the steps you state to add with the .json and .xml file, so I cannot state that removing those did anything negative after adding the .dze file with the DayZ Editor Loader on the server side folder mpmissions/*specific map*/EditorFiles. Steps I had to do after adding what you state in this video was, add DayZ Editor Loader to server, start server, stop server, locate in ftp files mpmissions/*specific map*/EditorFiles, pasted my .dze file created from DayZ Editor while offline, started server...and everything was there. Not sure if I goofed along the way or something has changed since this video was done. Please let me know if I went the hard route or did something wrong.
***Updated - Seems the .dze file is all thats needed along with DayZ Editor Loader on the server. The .json and .xml file you show here is not needed.

Yea I thought i was doing something wrong because i found that out on accident by loading just the .dze file. Came here to see if anyone else was doing the same, glad to see I’m not the only one lol

Hello, thanks for this instructional video. I'm having a look at ChernarusA2 published on Steam by Gex. That's the earlier map from ARMA 2. I noticed that map z-coordinates in the Editor are different from the iZurvive map. I also noted that I cannot access the inventory for survivors that I placed down in the Editor. Is there any fix for these issues?
I put some BBP and another mods item in scene but all is pickable! How to forbidden the player to pick this???
Does this still work. Following the steps after export, I open it up in Notepad++ and there is 0 code to validate? What am I doing wrong?

I read the comments an even put a structure that had the tittle "land" on the map.. still nadda?.. could u show us a quick video of uploading just one building no loot just the json file cuz I tried for 3 days straight an I'm losing my mind lol
Your cfggameplay probably isn't enabled, or the file name for your JSON is formatted incorrectly in the cfggameplay file.

So loot and buildings have to be saved separately? Y do you have to do mapgroup i thought through json the loot spawns
I can't control the placements like that. When I click the item, the items spawns above me. Then I play hell trying to get the item situated. What am I doing wrong?
I imported a VPP, file, added more stuff, exported to Json and it was messed up. It had "parameter1", "parameter2" etc instead of coords. I had to go in manually and make them all "name" "pos" and "ypr". Is that normal, or did I do something wrong?
I set up some items to spawn in with editor, the .xml has no information between the map on Notepad++ when its export to a folder as .xml. What am i doing wrong?

where does the custom folder come from? did you create it yourself or did it generate on its own?

Many items dont show up on my server. Walls, Fences, Sandbags, and so on. Buildings and wrecks work for the most part, Help?
You should do a video on how to wipe your nitrado server without losing all your mods and config and xml set up and custom setups

I was gonna ask I’m trying to decorate green mountain on my server kinda make it more military like but I don’t want my objects like guns/clothing/ etc to be useable just for display I have vending machines as my traders but how would I go about doing that would I upload my file to the trader folder or my missions folder

Does anyone know how to place the ramp leading to the radar platform in Tisy? I know that the platform is named Land_Tisy_RadarPlatform_Top but I can't figure out how to add the ramp. The editor shows the name of the ramp as tisy_radarplatform_mid.p3d which can't be selected. Any suggestions?

hey im trying to fig out how to dl the json files n xml file from the editor and onto my pc server do i need to create the custom folder or is there a diff way to do the pc servers
One thing I'm not clear on is if I'm using this to make areas for pc do I need to concern myself with the custom folder

Hey scalespeeder I’m on pc and I’m having a problem of things not spawning in while other things are for example a heli on top of container the heli spawns in air but no container underneath any suggestions
so one file your exporting is the Buildings, the other one is the way loot spawns in those buildings? ie you spawned a barrack so the "Loot" file is how where and what it spawns in loot wise?

I followed your tutorial to make my buildings and for the loot to spawn. the problem is that the loot does not spawn in modded areas while my buildings are there.

u have to edit the map for that to add a military point(red) or what ever is your building that u wanna spawn in

Never mind, I figured it out. Idk what I did to get it to work, considering the first thing I did fucked the game, and undoing it didn’t unfuck it, but hey, my customer building is in the game!
Thanks so mush for your help, always great to watch. You mentioned the "custom" folder on console but does this appear in the PC server files in the PC server on Nitrado? I've not installed the mods yet so does it only appear when the editor mod is selected? I'm probably just being thick!

DayZ Editor, DayZ Editor Loader, Builder items, Builder Statics. These mods will do everything for you.
I got buildings to spawn in, But would not spawn in Ground textures (airfieldterrain) or Prison Walls (short)

Hey, thanks greatly for your videos. They are a tremendous help to me in learning how to mod. I have a coding item name question. I am attempting to create a "shed" out in a field beside a dirt road. That has an NPC to sell stuff to. inside the shed. I would like to put in one of those stove/ovens that are in the houses. not the big fireplaces but the usable little stove or usable open med stove. but I can not find where their names are listed to put in the shed.

Yes. DayZ Editor is technically a mod for DayZ on PC. You need to own the PC version to use it.
@@matthewbinslidin7055 if you own DayZ on PC, go to the workshop in Steam, find DayZ Editor and "Subscribe" to it. Then go into the DayZ Launcher and select the mod to enable it.

I only tap either WSAD and the camera goes flying all over the place. Any tips on how you get items placed so precisely? Cheers.
This is probably way late but there’s a slow down speed option for the user camera in the settings

Hey @scalespeeder! Thanks for the videos, they're all really useful! Question, I have installed many OSA mods to my server however one was too large and crashed it... Fine, remove that, however the server continues to lag and subsequent OSA files don't spawn at all, even though they did at one time. is there lingering code somewhere that I have to find out how to wipe, without actually wiping my server? (Xbox)
Sounds like a lot of items may have spawned in, and that's causing your problem. You could wait and see if they naturally despawn, but it may come down to a wipe.
What about brushing terrains like flattening the Chernarus or adding mountains/ponds etc?

Scalespeeder, thank you for all of your help with making my server a better place. I have a question....if there any way for you to create a video tutorial on how to delete buildings on console? I believe it has to do with the .DZE folder but i'm not sure what to do with the folder. I have spent hours digging in the mapgroup.pos folder assuming if I delete the code it will disappear but I was wrong. Any advice is much appreciated thank you again

this is all fucking pointless because no one can even load their map to a server with edited loot spawns and buildings. Also, can someone explain how people are making maps like deer isle and banov?

Hey man, ive been doing as you explained in this video. Just when im done with the editor and upload it to my server half of the items i placed are gone. For example camo net and crates are there but a sea container or barrels are just gone. What am i missing or doing wrong?
I think anything that says builder bldr or something like that it doesnt go to console until they allow it. some stuff like this one wall i used was a builder but i also found same exact one with a different label in the beginning.

Hey scalespeeder. I used this and added a few barbed military fences and some walls, they did not spawn in but everything else, is there any proximity where there’s a limit on how close you can put custom buildings and objects next to each other? Great tutorial my man !💪🏽
If you're on console, those items do not spawn, stick to items that start with "land". If you're on pc, use the land and bldr items, but make sure your server has the builder items mod installed.

Hello, Thank you for your time and videos you have helped hugely but now I need help. I followed your directions, I am having an issue with a bonfire I placed. Everything worked great but I decided to move the bonfire now there are 2, 1 in the new spot, 1 still in original spot. Before uploading new file deleted the original file and uploaded a new file with the same name everything I added is in place except the old bonfire is still there. Again , Thank you.
i think that the original one will remain until you wipe the server.

Running into the same problem and there are no answers. I've exported everything. I play on console and there is no explanation to "LOAD" the editor loader into Nitradro.
