Sorry for the delay in getting this reaction up and running. I ran into technical problems! I won't even go into details of the numerous camera problems, applications dragging and the fact it takes 2-3 hours to produce a 10 min. video when the computer is behaving! My laptop is not strong enough to deal with the demands I place on it these days. That said, I am saving money toward a more reliable computer capable of keeping up with the workload of a youtuber!!!! I'm waiting on reply from local computer shop about building me a computer tailored to my needs. I'm thinking I may need to look into Patreon, as a helpful way we can work together to keep this channel growing to bring quality videos and content.

I will be holding my breath waiting on You tube to find this video. I anticipate it will be blocked, based on what I'm seeing (it appears other reactor's are pausing several times). I hope this video goes through, as of this writing, RUclips has not had it listed yet for content ID. In fact, it's not even listed at all. I won't be able to check it until tonight.
I think they made problems with it only in first 48 hours after the broadcast, but I could be wrong with this assumption
@@Immortall1408 that makes sense. It's been out a week now. We'll just have to see. I have an active strike for a ukulele cover. I surely don't want another! I'll fight it if they do.
The reason it gets blocked a lot is there has been some releases teasers of a new phantom of the opera theater show. And this video had more reactions on the first day than the news about the new show, you see where that leads to.

@@KellyDeaconKDzJOY It was a mysterie for most as other episodes where not blocked. If you are interested and just want to watch the complete shows , some one did an english translation of every complete 1hr episode of the show .this season
As the show actualy talks about who they are what they did in their carreers i think you will apreciate/understand singers a bit more.
During the last episode henk did a great another duet with Emma Heester you will like it verry much , And Floor has another duet to with tim he wrote the song winner, performed by Floor,
You dont have to react to it but just enjoy the people , the music and the show,
Henk was a childhood hero for Floor so singing with him had to be a dream come true for her.
Love your emotions, let your tears fill the river of tears, you're not the first and not the last to do so.
It sometimes doesn't matter how much you prepare for Floor, the singing goddess is going to still get to you 😍

This is/was one of those extremely rare cases, when the hype, didnt kill it.
We all expected something masterful, something epic, something so hyped, that they kind of could not deliver up to our expectations, and then.. they do THAT.....
They took our expectations and tossed them right back at us, as if saying "you know better than that, tsk!"
I loved every second of it, tried to ignore the hype... tried... and was blown away by this performance, i too was not expecting this, i expected epic, and we were given "godlike"...

A perfect D6 note. Floor Jansen is a rock singer but has classical study. She started it because of Henk Poort. She watched him in the "Phantom of the Opera" ( he had the part of the Phantom himself) and she was saying to herself "I want to do that and sing like him." She became the Floor she is today by studying and practicing inspired by Henk, she adores him.

Already hit the "like" button before listening. I KNEW I would like it as I've only heard it like 100 times or so by now haha! This is a really great version of the song. I have looked up many versions for comparison. I like most of them, but this one brings out the goosebumps for sure. I love the way they interact with each other and feed off each other. Cheers!

*When, where & who* ?: Episode was recorded outdoors on a rainy April day, 2019 at resort Atzaró on Ibiza Island. Not only Jansen & Poort sang live, also the *MF Band* displayed their musical skills live! So, also credits to the MF Band with: Marcel Fisser (bandleader & lead guitar) - Gregor Hamilton (synthesizer / keyboards) - Marijn van den Berg (drums) - Serge Bredewold (bass guitar) - Martijn de Laat (trumpet) - Arno Slijper (piano / keyboards) - Edwin de Groot (guitar) - Lesley van der Aa (backing vocals) & multi-instrumentalist Hubert Heeringa (the headscarfed saxofonist, violinist, etc). Info on the show by deva winblood: “Every one of those people on the couches were other Dutch vocalists. They took turns each week essentially serenading one of the other artists. They each would take songs from the catalog of the singer "on the couch" or that influenced them somewhere in their life and they would perform it with their own spin. Floor being from Nightwish, After Forever, Revamp, Ayreon, Star One, etc did amazing jobs. The week she was on the couch it is worth noting that ONLY the guy (Tim) referred to as the "Ramone's guy" flipping his hair did a Nightwish song (his remake of Nemo). Though Henk Poort did Disturbed's version of "The Sound of Silence" in that episode. This performance here is from duets for the last episode (season #12). It is also interesting that Floor is in what is with no contest the largest act any Netherlands born vocalist is in, but she was virtually unknown to the people of the Netherlands. Until this show. Nightwish is from Finland and they are the most popular act from that country and they get a lot of regular radio play. Nightwish is the popular music for Finnish people. :) Yet until now Floor was lesser known to the Dutch people. No more. There are a ton of reactions to this and pretty much everything she DID (and the other singers)...”

@@fritsyt2090 Jazeker, maar zeer recent maar weer, ik was even 10 jaar Bleusrock , Jazz en Rock/Hard Rock aan het luisteren en wat Metalica,, Within Temptation, Maar sommige bands gaan zo lang mee of artiesten dat ik ze nog ken van 10 a 12 jaar geleden toen veel ernaar luisterde. Floor met Nightwish heeft me weer binnengetrokken in het Symphonic Metal genre en Prog Rock/Metal. Ik ben 46 en ben vorig jaar naar de ziggodome naar Nightwish gegaan en heb voor het eerst mijn kisten weer aangetrokken. En ik koop weer band shirts. 😜

Ik ben 44 jaar dus uit dezelfde generatie als jij maar dan het verschil dat ik van oudsher een Gabber ben en vooral in de jaren '90 naar house party's ging maar in die tijd had ik wel al een zwak voor Rage Against The Machine en Nirvana maar kon ook wel wat Metal waarderen. Voor mij gold: als het maar hard ging dan was het goed om hard op te gaan! haha Tegenwoordig ben ik veelal bezig met verschillende stijlen in de Metal scene. Mijn favoriete bands zijn: Epica, Nightwish, Delain, Within Temptation, Jinjer, Arch Enemy, Lacuna Coil, Infected Rain, Rammstein, Korn, System of a Down. Vanaf 2014 ben ik ook wat meer concerten gaan bezoeken zoals Delain, Korn, Rammstein en Lacuna Coil. Binnenkort ga ik naar Lacuna Coil en Infected Rain die spelen samen met Eluveitie. En natuurlijk ga ik komend jaar nog naar de solo-tour van Floor in Utrecht en naar Nightwish in Ziggodome. De rest van de bands staan zeker nog op mijn verlanglijstje vooral Epica en Jinjer. Leuk om je wat beter te leren kennen dus je mag gerust wat meer vertellen hoor haha
Henk Poort performed as the phantom for a few decades, apparently the favorite one of the composer. Other fun fact, Floor taught him the growl style....
First, let me say that was the perfect reaction I expected from you for this emotional masterpiece that was better than all the high expectations placed on it. Second, I love Sarah Brightman's version of this song BUT, man it felt like Webber wrote this for these two as this duet was just perfect. Third all that they needed since they were so in character was the costumes and the dark cavern set and you would swear that you were watching the stage production.
Henk, Floor's idol had the most fun he has ever had doing a duet and Floor she rose to the challenge with Henk pushing her at the end and they both nailed this performance. What a grand finale to a great show that will be missed by millions of fan old and new but will be getting a lot of re-runs, especially Denise Hof's translated version. The expectations were high but even the professionals had to stand and clap for this duet pair when it was over. Floor, the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal, is no longer that "Metal chick with the tattoos" in her homeland, she has finally earned the recognition and respect she has worked so hard for in her career and her and Henk conquered the Internet with this wonderful rendition. This show was great as it added many new Floor fans (better late than never but you have a lot of catching up to do) and all her die-heart fans got to experience a lot of great new singers to enjoy. Happy belated B'day and many happy ones to come, leave it to Mom and Dad to pick the simplest but most beautiful and meaningful gift to give a daughter I am sure they are very proud of!!

I've heard this song probably about 40 times in the past 3 or 4 days, and every single time I hear it, I have that same exact reaction when Floor hits that D6 note at the end. I find it amazing that she held that note for almost 8 seconds.

As many mentioned: You could've been prepared for everything and expecting as much as you wanted (so did I - at least I thought so), this one was blowing everything away. I needed nearly five minutes, till I was able to talk to somebody again ( with sentences that made sense ;-) ).
Happy late birthday wishes. A nice little dragonfly. This live performance by Floor & Henk is something I might listen to for the rest of my life hoping for afterlife to be able to continue listening for all eternity. Henk agreed to do this duet provided that he can do it once more with Floor & Nightwish when they have their next live show in The Netherlands in 2020. That is going to be one epic live performance, so hopefully someone uploads it into RUclips.
Henk only agreed to do this with Floor if they let him come on the new Nightwish tour and sing it with her there as well. All agreed and we'll see him next year on the tour in limited venues.
That is really cool. Henk will get a very warm welcome.

It's interesting the different approach to the song Tara and Floor had. Tara was much more powerful and aggressive whereas Floor had a more angelic and light quality to her singing. Both styles suit the women singing them. Showing different angles of the same object if you will.
This performance is based on Webber's musical rather than the book. Henk was the Dutch language Phantom in the late 90s so he knows the part inside and out and it showed. Although not an opera singer, Floor held her own and did a fantastic job, adding her own flavor to the performance.

6:13 - I wonder why they swapped this! In the original it's Christine singing: "I am the mask you wear" and the Phantom replies: "It's me they hear." This makes more sense, if you know the musical and the story behind it.
It would seem to me they wanted a back and forth byplay between the two of them before singing together. This was probably for this show, I wouldn't think the upcoming Nightwish version would be like this, but her solo shows with him might.
the song is one of the tracks of the compilation album that is to be released after the series... guess that's where the sudden copystrikes are coming from

Funny moment for me particularly... and please understand Kelly I am not making fun of you here... just found it amusing... at the end of Henk's first part you began playing with your hair.... psycologists will tell you that is a physical manifestation for women of attraction. Not blaming you for that... Emma has a similar reaction stroking her throat... and she's like a third of Henk's age. It's simply a reaction to a powerful male figure. In a similar manner those of us who are guys find Floor's coy glances as hugely attractive... of course the music adds to this and is part of the reason why this has gone viral.
