Ha. You did it again...lol. I now live in MN. Cold here. I really want to do a snow camp. Nothing bad just cold etc. Never had the opportunity. Been thinking about it a lot. Needed this/your input and here you are. Perfect timing...lol. Great ideas and advise. Many thanks as always. Big thumbs and a great vid.
I think people who camp have more fulfilling lives and are happier and have a better sense of well-being. I think camping's like a vacation from one life into another, a more peaceful, satisfying one. I wish I was a camper. I'd love to escape the life I live and get away from everything and everyone and just enjoy nature far away. And if I never came back that'd be fine with me.
Also posted my winter loadout. I don't know about you brother but can't wait for the snow. Dang ticks gave me Lyme this year. The snow is easier to deal with than the bugs. LOL!
You and I must have gone to the same bush craft school, sir! It may be that Buckeyes think alike as I graduated from HTHS outside of Columbus. I joined the military and became an advanced paramedic (IDMT). My winter gear load out in a Gen 2 MARPAT ILBE is very similar to yours and I have a WWII musette as a day hike bag. I love that wool anorak and the Silkie Big Boy (one of my saws is a Gomboy). Thank you, sir, for sharing!
Great vid, thanks. Please list the websites that you purchased your gear from as I had to do a Google search for the Asbell Anorak Wool pullover and I did purchase it today. I reside in northeastern Vermont (The NEK). I'm close to your age and I'm just getting back into bush crafting, hiking etc.. I really enjoy your channel and I've subscribed. Thanks again mate.
My question is. As u start to gather a lot of gear do u find it harder To chose what u want/need ? I'm sure my gear doesn't add up to half of what u have. For me I load my pack one day the next day I'm changing it up again. Any struggles with this ??
How do you like the Klymit Static V Recon insulated pad? I'm a side sleeper and so far, that's the best pad i can find for the money, weight, size, comfort, and warranty.
Great gear video buddy. I’m gonna get my ilbe pack out and start using it on my bushcraft trips now. I normally use my filbe assault pack but the other day I had noticed that one of my straps has started to fail and I gotta repair it 😢Do you ever use your helikon haversack? I haven’t seen it featured in any more videos.
In regards to the Asbell Anorak, what size is it that you wear? I noticed that you a pretty big guy as am I and I am just asking because I am interested in buying one and wonder how they fit. Also which model of Anorak is it. Thanks, love the channel.
