A Johnson I agree I clearly wasn’t implying it one way or the other. HOWEVER girls get a TON of hate and disrespect and sometimes threats and violence for not returning a mutual romantic feeling towards a guy. It can get really ugly. I agree guys don’t owe it to girls either but men get so mad at women for it. Or in this case people who love shane are so enraged that she broke Shane’s heart when she simply didn’t reciprocate the same feelings
LizVictory6661 I feel like a lot of people especially girls go through this experience where someone likes them but you don’t see anything romantic with them and people try to push you to give it a chance anyway. Or the person gets mad at you or blames you or tries to push you in some way. And sometimes you end up on the other end where you really care for someone but they don’t feel the same way. There is nothing you can do about it except accept the way someone feels or break away from them.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing two old friends reconnect. You're not acting cold, he's not acting awkward, you both look genuinely happy to be back together. 😊

Elle and blair were the height of youtube back in the day! I keep forgetting that. Their own phone cases and books etc. No one else had that and they got a lot of hate cuz of it. Now it's the norm. It's crazy how youtube has changed. I feel like if blair and elle were consistent on their youtube channels they would be up there with a lot of the other RUclips stars like Bethany and zoella. How come they only have roughly have 2M subs. Zoe has like 10M and she was popular after they were. It's cool Blair is making a comeback and I wish Elle would come back to the vlogs and beautyworld! And fyi Shane and blair need to have their own vlog channel! Love them together!!!!!!

I remember being in high school and I'd come home and watch blairs make up tutorial from all her millions rooms she's had and all her cool bedding also UP UNTIL THIS DAY not kidding this happened like two days ago, everytime I hear the song paradise by Coldplay I think of Blair because this song used to remind her of one of her friends who passed away ;(

I loveeee them so much more than the gigi gorgeous' of the world.
They got hate and their credibility started to erode once it became crystal clear that they were doing a ton of sponsored shit without disclosing it. Like that Puffs tissues thing. Eventually the majority if not nearly all of their videos became sponsored, which took a lot of the fun and trust and honesty from their channel. I personally couldn't continue watching or supporting it.

oh my god this is the best friendship pairing. shane you bring some levity and humor to blair who has always been mature and straight-laced especially for her age. i hope you continue seeing each other every so often! i know how tough it is to make time for family, friends, partners, work, self-care alone time, etc., but when you're friends with the right people they'll always be there for you when you have time.

To everyone everyone hating on her (I've only ever seen this video of her's btw so I'm definitely not biased. I came from Shane's video becAUSE OF THAT FRIGGIN CLIFFHANGER...anyway) To everyone hating on this girl, I understand you probably think she was a b*tch for not returning Shane's feelings but when is a woman *ever* obligated to date someone just because that other person has feelings for them? Never. And it's unfair to assume that Blair is any different to this standard that should always be followed. And all of you saying that she and Shane should have been together, or that they shouldn't have been together because she broke his heart: grow up. They're obviously on good terms now and Shane's dating Ryland. I'm not hating on Shane either because he even said that he's moved on for a while now and is not still in love with her. He never said that he felt she was obligated to date him. If any of you have ever been in love or have had unrequited feelings for someone you'll probably remember what it felt like seeing that person and immediately thinking that they felt the same way (obviously it won't always end that way spoiler alert) but you were clouded by love. So was Shane. So, long story short, don't hate on either Shane or Blair because neither of them were in the wrong. Blair obviously doesn't have any negative feelings towards Shane and still considers him a friend and, as I said before, Shane is dating Ryland. They've both moved on so you should too.
*TLDR: Don't hate on Blair or Shane. They're on good terms now and have both moved on. So grow up please.*

The comments under this video are so ugly. She doesn't deserve to get hate just because his feelings weren't reciprocated. Shane even said himself that maybe he mistook her gestures as romantic because he was so in love with her. Everyone is so quick to call this girl mean or uncaring, but if a guy I haven't spoken to in years randomly came out in the open and wanted to reconnect and tell the whole world how much he used to love me, I'd be a little uncomfortable and awkward. My best friend since high school has completely abandoned me since I got with my current husband and it hurt so bad. Sucks feeling like our friendship was just him trying to be more and wasn't real.
I can't speak for your situation, but at least from my one experience being on the other end i wouldn't say "it wasn't real". I have a friend that spent every possible moment with me and we love each other but when someone else came a long for them, an emotional aspect of our relationship left. so on top of the possibility of "us" being not possible and time no longer spent together, the whole dynamic changed. i know some people say "oh you should love them enough to be happy for them" and I did, but not enough to want to see that every day with what could have been, at least initially. i think it just keeps it too fresh and is kinda toxic to subject yourself to. doing a reconnect like this later down the line isn't a bad idea. it worked out for me as well but that's because we put everything on the table and we we're both in good relationships. it was funny, she even admitted looking back on it that it was like i was emotionally her boyfriend w/o the physical part of the relationship which she said it seems a lot of women do (not purposely). idk how long its been for you but if you still have that persons number or fb maybe you should reach out (so long as you don't think they were just trying to get in your pants cuz thats whole nother' kettle of fish)
I lost one of my oldest friends of over 20 years bc I couldn’t afford to go across the country for her wedding and told her months in advance. But, I stayed with my sister to attend a wedding in the next state over from me. She got furious and completely wrote me off. 😕 People suck.
