We should remember that people are the most important aspect of any strategic plan. Knowing Christ personally should cause each of us to serve others in the body of Christ with greater altruistic (unselfish) motivation than those who lived under the old covenant. Christ showed, by example, what it meant to serve others, to ‘spend and be spent’ for people, to love them into the Kingdom. He did nothing except what He saw the Father do, said nothing except what He heard His Father say, and since Christ never said or did anything that was self-serving, neither should we.
