Couple things for future installs. You should run the rca cables away from the power wires to avoid possibility of interference noise, the remote bass knob is not a boost knob but rather it is a gain control which should be turned all the way up when setting your gain. On the bazooka that should be a dual voice coil and you should use an ohmmeter to wire it correct (series or parallel)
Here comes the Boom! Knu=new... clean install, ya learning...you'll want access to adjust side of amp... next install... two choices...sound throughput van or some peeps choose driver centric... then...adjust high, mid n low...you love the 8"...easy...mid n highs to personal preference...keep the lil flathead in van to adjust the amp...good job B...keep turning that wrench...one love
I've got my amp mounted under the passenger seat, there is so much room under that thing. Also you'll be taking those panels back off for the back up cam haha. I also made a bracket for my fuse holder against the firewall. I enjoy doing this stuff. I used to work at circuit city back in the roadshop. Those were the days! But solid work, and merry Christmas to you and Kelly!
Nicely done! Planet Audio makes good amps. I used to do this as a part time job and I still remember how hard it was in the beginning but repetition is key.
I can see how doing it consistently will bring upon speed, but there is still lots of annoying parts of the install. Anything that has to do with "under the dash" sucks! Lol
That brand of wiring is pronounced new concepts and they make really great products. The amp is fine for your basic-beginner-low cost amp, same goes for the bazooka tube but all in all a decent setup for the low end of car audio
Had a shop on LA way back in the 90s. Fun times. You've done well. Brandon's Audio Center...future business name. Audio is subjective. Does it sound good to you and not distorting, then it's good. Thanks for the vid brutha.
Sir ,I'm still sad u don't have the lovely box ,but I feel you it need it to go ,but you most know all you video has been a bless for all the box lovers,an thank u so much 4 all ur videos 📹 just awesome 👌 thanks many blessings.
Another awesome video! Don't worry about distortion. I've had a bazooka tube in my xb for about a dozen years, all my wires are bundled together running down the passenger side behind the kick plates, never had any any feedback or distortion.
Sick man. There's nothing like riding around listening to good tunes with a crisp sound. I remember playing some Fear Factory after my setup was done and feeling musical peace. I was getting a bit of rattle from my glove box because my sub is under the passenger seat but just placed some cork pieces to reinforce it and it worked perfectly. Enjoy your gift bro, happy holidays to you and Mrs. XDD!
It's recommended that you run the signal wires on the opposite side of the vehicle versus the power wires. You may run into interference having them all together. I did my setup that way and never had a problem. Hope this helps! PS, I miss the Lude!
I read that too! I kinda sorta did the same on my setup. Power and ground immediately splits and separates after the firewall but I'm running both lines through the same hole on the firewall so maybe what I did was useless? My sound is still clean though. No weird interference /static noises at all.
#TOASTAATOOSDAY‼️💪🏼😎 Awesome upgrade! 🔥 for some reason I’m not getting your notifications with the bell on. Bummed I’m missing them on upload. Happy Holidays brother! Bless up! 🙏🏼
Great video, Can you show a video in how to clear display lights on Scion xB when showing VSC, ABS and traction control. Their is no check engine light on.
Been there, done that, Dude. Where have you been? Make sure you are sub'd so you don't miss a video and also always review the xB Playlist when you are searching for a video. ruclips.net/video/FNBLiDeojWw/видео.html
Man I agree with u, started in the am in my XB and was done by 2pm,back was dun, aftr that ,LOL,You did an EXCELLENT JOB, AND U ND URS HV A MERRY CHRISTMAS, GOD BLESS.
Have you thought about drilling some holes in the styrofoam cubby to keep the amp a bit cooler. That foam is going to keep that amp to warm bro. Just a thought. By the way I really appreciate your videos they got me through my covid-19 recovery. Take care and thank you for the great channel.
Make sure to add the caps that go one each side of the fuse holder it covers the nickel and screw access on fuse from shorting out also cover up the rest of the terminals for power and ground with black tape so it’s not exposed
Hate the trunk space on these cars. Have a 12” sub on the back on mine. Took me roughly and hour to get this done. My bass control is on the exact same place as yours lol
Great minds think alike! The trunk space could be better, that's why I went with the bass tube because it's small and easy to disconnect when i need to.
Did you use both voice coils on the bazooka? Wiring both the negatives and both positives to each other; thats why you had four connections on the sub.
Best I can say is look up how to wire a dual voice coils and ohm impedance for your amp. Depending on what your amp can handle you can either wire the coils up in parallel or series
Nice vid! 5hrs B!? I think maybe you were being pretty with this install: Takin your time to smell the roses as you went along😅. Your wiring is pretty clean though 👊🏾 What took me a couple days was tuning my sub and finding that maximum sweet spot. Using the cell phone with the bass tone like you did would've saved me time! I did mine by ear (which was a little annoying) testing many songs in my mp3 library which all have varying levels of bass and loudness.
I feel like every song needs a different set up on the equalizer. I'm always messing with it and the bass knob. I little adjustment goes a long way!!! I have my equalizer set up for Rock and Electric music and I switch between the two.
Hey there I've seen your videos and like your project on the life. I got a 3rd gen 89 and I'm working on the suspension rear. But I'm having problems with all this rusted bolts and trying to find parts. I would def need any advice you can help with
Parts are impossible to find. Ebay and junkyards are your best bet. As far as rust goes, you might want to buy a torch or a angle grinder and cut them off. Good luck.
If you get any weird noise coming from the radio is because you wired the remote wire in the RCA wires with the power wire,Hopefully it doesn’t do it to you if it does run it on the opposite side RCA wire and remote wire on the left driver side instead of the passenger side.
I think that rule applies to old school rca's that were made with old tech. Nowadays amps, subs, decks, wires, are all waaaaaay better now. So you shouldn't have an issue today but I think it's just a car audio superstition that everyone just does cause it used to be very true lol.
hey man! do u have a high power alternator or are you just running a stock 80 amp alternator? been thinking about doing this but i dont know if i should upgrade my alt first. P.s Love the videos man keep em comin!
I am running the stock alternator. If you follow the channel, you know I have done the Big 3 and it made a big difference. I am still getting 14.3 volts every time at start up. Thanks for watching.
There is lots on RUclips showing you how to properly measure what your amp is actually putting out. I think they did one on the amp I purchased and it puts out like 600 watts.
Hello from New Mexico love the video keep up the good work I watch a lot of car audio install videos check out Dean and Fernando their youtube channel is 5starcaraudio they are from Clearwater Florida and they do some amazing work if I can drive out there one day I'll come show you my box and get an installation from Dean and Fernando haha be cool to meet you and cruise a couple of boxes down the highway haha

Happy Holidays to you yours JC! I listened to some Danzig the other day and heard things in the music that I had never heard before!
It's recommended that you run the signal wires on the opposite side of the vehicle versus the power wires. You may run into interference having them all together. I did my setup that way and never had a problem. Hope this helps! PS, I miss the Lude!

Nice installation presentation. Awesome Xbox 🤙🏼
Glad you like it!

You are kept very helpful share about subwoofer, it is also demantable post for who want to upgrade their old subwoofer. Thanks for the post.
Glad it was helpful!
Blowing up that Scion content!!! 😍
Dunno what your finances are. But I vote for a Gen 2.5 Scion tC build next. 🤣

Thank you. Glad it's helpful.
Great vid! Happy holidays to you and the toaster fam!
Same to you!
So I got a G6 instead of a Prelude. Can't wait to install my own sub and amp.
Another great vid bro!
Glad you enjoyed it

RUclips is out to get me!! Luckily you know that every Tuesday their is a video!
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers They some haters man! But fosho I’ll be waiting on the next one! 💪🏼
You need a subwoofer rca out . Not Aux.
Nice bass tube love it !
Hey it’s recommended to run RCA’s and signal wire on the opposite side of the power wire if not the audio will distort
You are the THIRD person who suggested this. Where were you guys during the install?!!?! JK. So far so good, but I will keep an ear out for it.
With a good shielded twisted pair... shouldn't be a lot of cross talk.
if you use quality rca it won't. Also with just a sub amp you shouldn't get any of that engine whine or anything
Me facina el canal ahora mas por la traduccion en español gracias bendiciones
Thanks for watching!
My question is can you hook up a amp an a sub with amp when the radio only has 2rca
Can you please help me with that answer sir, is that what the RCA splitter is ? Thanks
Google it. I'm not an audio expert. I'm pretty sure I mentioned that in the video. Thanks for watching.

@@ExtremeDailyDrivers the problem is I don’t have any check engine lights codes to read just the three lights VSC, ABS and TRAC.
Those lights mean you are throwing a code.

Great idea! I thought about that. I wonder how hot it gets in there? I really would like to mount it to the back of rear seats.
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers you can also use a small fan like on a desktop computer
Yeah it’s been 11 months. Did your car burn down yet?
Good job bro I like it try hooking up two 12,two amps a passive equalizer I use to hook up car Stereos it’s not easy but I like your set up.
Thanks! My set up is very basic. It would be fun to learn more about this stuff and get more creative.
Hi friend. What color should the bazooka led show when turned on?
Whatever the directions say. I don't remember.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it

? Can you explain that better? I wired up one side of the tube. Was that wrong?
Best I can say is look up how to wire a dual voice coils and ohm impedance for your amp. Depending on what your amp can handle you can either wire the coils up in parallel or series
Got it! Thank you. I guess I'll have to retune everything again. Thanks again. I was confused by the bazooka tube setup.
Nice system!!! My wife wanted to know what's up with miata monday?
The Miata will be back in full force in January! Stay tuned!

Great choice! Make sure you check out the xB Playlist and see all of the videos on the Box we have done!
Super nice vid! Wish we could hear it! Happy holidays to you and the toaster la familia!
Do it. I'm happy with mine it's a 2005 5 speed still running like a top. 245k miles.
I bought my sons xB, I could not be happier!! Love the box! I truly believe it is the Volkswagen van of the millennials! Bad ass box!
Should i buy a 5 speed or the automatic. I drive about 50 miles a day to work (mostly highway miles)
Can you not use "No copyright Sounds" for your test music?
If you get any weird noise coming from the radio is because you wired the remote wire in the RCA wires with the power wire,Hopefully it doesn’t do it to you if it does run it on the opposite side RCA wire and remote wire on the left driver side instead of the passenger side.

What size gauge for the amp power/ground wires?
I don't remember, but there is a link in the description for everything.

I have a skar audio ZVX v2 12 in my 06 xb
Nice.
why there is no usb port in the cars where you could just connect 1 cable and have your amp and sub working :((((

I think it’s pronounce ‘new concepts’ lol
Yes, you are correct. Someone else corrected me, as well. Thanks for watching.
Shouldn’t run rca with main power wire it can interfere, always run rca and speaker wires away from power.
