Simple Elegant Cigar Box DIY

- Today I show you how I made a simple cigar box/humidor with a lid and a cedar lining. I used a basic miter joint method to make the box and then fit the cedar lining on the inside of the box. It will hold 18 cigars on one side, and several smaller cigars on the other side.
It is veneered with green dyed maple veneer, and finished with several layers of shellac.

I wish I made one of these for my grandpa before I graduated
I like that cigar box build. Great job!
Well done Dylan!!
That was a cool video really enjoyed it! 👍🇨🇦
Very Nice work! It came out really nice.
Awesome video 👌!
Wow, you put that together well. Great music. Best to you in your woodworking, creating practical things and art. (Watch your fingers!)
thank you!
I wish I had this equipment but nope and can’t afford but great video
the same project could be done with mostly hand tools if you had the time
Mastercraft knife.
oh
Nice vid good job
THANK YOUUU
Just a FYI never use a zippo lighter on a cigar. The fuel used to light the cigar will ruin it. No cigars were harmed in this video. :D
Great box btw.
good to know! what should they be lit with?
@@DylansDIYWorkshop butane torch or ideally a match :)
Hi its me
Dylan Taylor hi lol waz up
You must be independently wealthy.....I could only dream of a shop like that with that equipment....
What was the sizes for the box? Thanks
Safety course please
yeah. I forgot
I love seeing how things are made. You did an amazing job on the box and the editing. Keep rockin the vids! 👋🏻✌🏻😊
Nice job. I always find it really nerve wracking when I have to cut boxes open on the tablesaw. Maybe that's because I usually manage to fuck it up.
Ends first then sides.. and the last cut is the scary one
I hope I'm wrong but you are going to get hurt. Nice work. Very iffy safety awareness. I started my apprenticeship way back in 1975. First rule No rings. No watches. No bracelets. No long neck chains. We all had long hair though. Haha. Good luck my friend
.
How much time actually went into this? Nice work, by the way. 👌
It was over the course of a week
Maybe 3 hours total?
How many rolex's do you have

Nice Meme
Hey Dylan I have gotten advice from frekin reviews and 2 cent chicks and I would like some advic2 from you too if possible, I'm starting my own youtube channel and wanted some advice on how to get started, can you give me any? Mainly aiming towers getting views
Yeah absolutely!... Here's my advice. Start making videos. Nothing else matters if you can't make videos and upload them consistently.
Dylan's DIY Workshop thank you that advice will help alot
Good job but the video is useless as a tutorial. Skip the music and add a commentary on what you’re doing.
next time ;)
dont understand this man. for bigger sized wood push sticks are used. for very small sized wood, hands are used during the table saw cut
had to re watch the video to see what you meant. I think I did that because it seemed to give more control over the piece given the throat plate was a different height than the tabletop and only very little of the piece was able to ride the table.
