Had this same fault on a honda with sliding side doors. Top tip of the day from me to you Peter and all your dedicated followers. Take the worn pitted copper plates off and flip them over and refit into the black holder. Clean the tarnish film off them and bingo you have brand new connections for the door to connect to.
Simple and clear video 👏🏻 I've been doing that on all Vitos I've owned every 2/3 years, that and the rubbish Mercedes "hand brake" operated by foot are the only downers on these vans.
Hard to break the habits from work but it's really the only time our own stuff gets fixed # when we're on holidays😂 great share peter happy New year to ya 👍
Hi Peter, thanks for the video, if those doors didn’t have a proper contact when closed, did it not show up on your dashboard by a flash red light (VAN) that there was a problem with the door or doors. Hope for your Reply…. Thanks
Hey Mattser, yes it was very intermittent but but it did sometimes show a door open but doesn’t indicate which on on this model. But only 2 of the pins are for the lock/unlock motor in each door & these contacts could be bad without affecting the door position contacts. If that makes sense 🤔
Great video Peter I wonder what fault the scan tool would have showing for that one.if you put that into Marc garage they would have cost you a few hundred just to look at it
The same thing happened to my van ! I got a fault with the drivers side window and passenger window - the buttons for the on the drivers side all work except for the driver and passenger window. The passenger side window swith works. Thinking its a fuse but can't see a fuse fot the window - any idea?
@@chrisroberts4735 the window switches on these are very flat which catches rain water if ever left open, so I’d think it could be the switch. It isn’t fused separately 😬😬
Well done Peter, nice quick fix , you should give yourself 30 Euros for that one , most garages would charge more than that , if only you could 😎👍👍💸💸💸💸
I had the exact same problem but found it to be a worn micro switch on the latch cam in the locking mechanism. My V350 has two sets of door pin contacts. Pain in the A.
The video is excellent. But many of your viewers are from abroad and for me personally it is very hard to understand you. But anuway all other aspects of video are very good or excellent.
Please go and learn the correct terminology of components and read from a script. It needs to be 100% accurate if you want to post and help folk, lest you confuse many. Eg, in one sentence you call one component 2 different names. I am in the Trade, I know what you mean to say, others may not. You are helping, but not. Then have some hold the camera the correct orientation for you, and open the windows to see the Lock Knobs moving as you were trying to show.

It probably wouldn’t have stored a fault, just shown one of the sliding door open 🤔🤔
I must actually take a look though tomorrow & let you know 😉👍

@@boymbaye4663 sorry mate, unfortunately not 😔😔
Good video but I got a sticky pin that doesn't move fully could I open the rubber and spray WD 40 in or would it short out the central locking
Not at all, spray it with WD40 & see if it Free’s out 🤞🤞

You know that thing with the six little boxes on the side door what the big circle above it? The ring
The thing I cleaned with sand paper??

Will try what you did.. now I lock from the inside the manually lock the driver door.. 😅
