Submachine is a hand-drawn point and click adventure game. You find yourself in a vast network of desolate locations containing puzzles, secrets, notes and inventory items to collect to help you along the way. Follow the story of a banished lighthouse keeper to discover his descent into ruins.

It is SO good to see a new generation of people exposed to the Submachine games. Mr. Skutnik is a master at the rare craft of hand-drawn games.
As I said in previous comments, I am ashamed I had not heard of this game before! 😄
And if you know more games like this, please do let me know. I would love to play some more, or stream them on my Friday night streams!
@@Jokefish For me, the Rusty Lake series has a somewhat similar vibe, although there's many differences too.

I remember playing all the submachine games when they were flash games. So nice to see them remastered and on steam as a full game!
I am kind of amazed by how good it is despite not having heard of the game before, but I didn't play much flash games back in the day so I suppose that explains that 😄
@@Jokefish Yeah each chapter was basically its own standalone game in the series. Each one came out about a year apart so they were already pretty well polished at the time, then with the remaster a lot of the puzzles were tweaked, textures were cleaned up, etc.
Ooh awesome! I love it when game devs take their time making games good, not just "put in what is needed to make money" that a lot seem to do nowadays :x
This is very fun to watch- i know these games inside out so my connections are already set so its super fun to see someone new to the whole puzzle make certain connections and ideas. Liked! Will be watching all of the playthrough!
Thank you so much! When I started this game I had no idea about its history, I thought it was a new game. But then I quickly found out that it is not and a lot of people absolutely loved it back in the day! We ended up doing live streams of the optional levels with the viewers, it was super fun!
Love people new to Submachine struggle with the first chapter, cause it gets bigger and bigger with each subsequent one hahaha. It reminds me of my first times playing it!

You got the titles mixed up, this one should be the basement and the next episode is the lighthouse.
Oops, you are correct. I changed the titles a few days back, and by just looking at the thumbnail it made more sense that this is the lighthouse. Thanks! 😄
