I don't think that is always a good idea. If you have strength rings and make those magnetic as well you would likely prefer to pick up some strength rings first before you go for the strength potion. If they are all magnetic it could be difficult, and since they don't return in the machine you only get one (or as many potions as you have) shot!

As I mentioned in the stream, I think at least for several more floors after the final boss the infinite run should be easier.. but will definitely ramp up quickly after that 😄

Its definitely very much luck based, but there also definitely is some skill involved.. it is not always the best move to just stack the same number dices, sometimes you want to close a row on purpose. Easy to play at home, could be fun to try 😄

I can totally see why they didn't do it from a design perspective. If there is no end to it there is no way to guarantee the game properly functioning as you have no idea how far people will get 😂 I gave them some suggestions on the Dungeon Clawler discord, specifically for Bargain. Although I agree that 100% discount should not be a thing, I do think people like the idea of free stuff. So one example I gave was make Bargain give a 100% discount for the first roll/purchase in every room!

There is a short description of how to get the beta at the start of the video. In short, you can right click Dungeon Clawler (the demo) in the Steam games list and manage its properties. Hope that helps!

There are explanation in Discord of the game. For some people it did not work, the solution is to remove the old demo installation and to re-install this Beta.

I still didn't understand what happened with under-buffed Claw - was it created from Hello World mid-fight? There was so much going on at the aborted turn!

I have no idea. At first I thought the claw+'s were only used so far so only the claw+'s were buffed, but first of all that does not make sense and secondly a different (normal) claw did have the damage bonus..

@@Jokefish yes that claw was from hello world. The claws only increase the damage of claws in your deck when played so the one that was created mid combat did not get the buff.

@@Jokefish well you could do a post level 5 run with bargains and fill your machine with cactus and spikey shields

I do still have 2 runs saved with 20 bargains, I could change one of them into a different build indeed! 😄

Even though this is also a claw machine based game, I don't really think you can compare it to Dungeon Clawler 😄

Oof, that will be a real tough one. Shields are usually pretty large, its hard to pick up 3 shields let alone more than that.. I think I would end up not being able to return enough damage compared to the damage I'd be taking :x But I will definitely give it a try!

​@@JokefishIf you wanna make it easier (by easier i mean actually doable) you can name it "Using only block" so that you can use the gauntlets

I'd also have to have some rules for the start, as there is no way to do damage at the start without the right items 😂

Yup, if I didn't get such a bad grabs + if I would manage to keep the dam alive a bit more often I think I would have had a good chance!

I think that might be a bit toooo difficult, it already took me 5+ tries to get past the 2nd boss like this!

I know card drawing is generally amazing, but I felt like in combination of limited energy and your hand being discarded at the end of a turn it would not have helped my current deck.. but I could be wrong 😂

Next one is fun too they all are, but I really want to see Jokey play the Witch!

In this case its more of a "you are hurt so now I will hurt them as well" device. A balancer of life, if you will!

Pretty sure tossing those old mercury thermometers does indeed hurt! Thinking about it, maybe they should have added poison damage because of the mercury 😂

What an adventure it has been!

The build that scales the best is going for Strength Potions. If you try to get 20x Bargain you can get a strength potion in every fight.. then at some point your machine is so full you can just toss them in without grabbing, and use the grab for paper clips and do massive damage! Check out my latest stream, I got the build going there 😄
