- IT'S TIME! These Brokeback Dual Sport Adventure trips are my getaway from normal life and normal people. I headed down a day early this time and finally got to see Tilliy's new KDX200.
After checking out all of the mods done to it I fired it up and let me tell you this is one of the loudest 2 strokes I have heard. But there was one important thing we had to do before the KDX was trail ready, so we headed to his house to get tools and parts then rushed back to camp to install a fresh rotor and pads.
Special thanks to Carl for the help as we couldn't get the axle nut broken loose. When in doubt you can count on a country boy. After having some fun and getting the Kawasaki back up and running we ate some food and hit the trails.
This is only the start to an awesome weekend riding adventure!

I think they should give it a refresh and bring it back. Put the forks from the klx 300 on it and sell it!
What about the suzuki Pe the Yamaha ITl good enduro bikes
They made a lot of weird decisions like how the kdx had inverted forks for a few years, then they changed back to standard.

That kdx is pristine.
You're bringing back memories. I raced a KDX200 in the Roof of Africa in 2005. It was my first bike and I had no idea how to ride or set it up. The handlebars were too far forward the whole time and it caused a lot of head-shake at inopportune moments. So much so that it would send jolts of pain up my forearms every few minutes. After 3 days my arms were DONE!
So you were sold the wrong bike.
You got robbed.
A professional scam.
They Sold You a bike unsuitable for yourself.
They sold You a bike you can't possibly use.
Your first bike shouldn't be professionally tuned for extreme 4 hour motocross races.
@@dreyn7780 What are you talking about? The bike was fine. I was the one who made the mistake of pushing the handlebars forward. Plenty of guys have raced the roof on KDX200s some have even done it for fun on CRF230 play bikes. Its not as fast as a KTM300, but the KDX is plenty capable of completing an extreme enduro. And the roof of africa is not a 4 hour motocross race. It is a 3 day event.
I’ll keep an eye out for you at Wayne. If you see a fat guy on a KDX with an orange helmet say hi!

Quick tip on removing stubborn bolts. STAND ON IT! Your legs are way more powerful than your arms. Works great on sticky nut bolts.
Nice bike! yeah, that is a stock KDX tank. Mine has a Clarke 3.4 gallon.
I would put a twin air or uni filter in it. get that paper k&n junk out of there. not ideal for dirt bike applications as foam filters are.
That Kawasaki is so loud I had to turn my phone down when it started lol

That's the bike I'm gunna get to ride trails, only think is I may have to stiffen the front shocks, but I'm 5'9 255 and bulky.

Hey guys!! Love the content!!! Been restoring a 94 kdx200 and been trying to track down a tail light the same as on Tilly's kdx!! You guys know of anywhere to find them? Been scouring the internet with no look all the others just have a single two screw all red tail light without that small clear peice in the center.
Any way tilliy could reveiw the bike , got a few questions and wounder how the led light is hooked up

I also have a ktm 250 2t, you can run 10% ethanol (I don't), but you can
Axel should be put thru other way.The nut should be on disc side .The nut can be loosened if it strikes a rock ,prob why it was so tight.It is easier however to remove wheel tho with the axel this way but keep checking that axle nut

Redline , maxima ester based,Amsoil, blendzall ultra are all very good...had a buddy who raced go carts...had a heat gun on a air cooled 100 cc yammie...those had the coolest temps.

I personally wouldn’t! The DRZ just feels heavier to me. And being carbureted I don’t feel like that would be much of an upgrade. The only benefit would be suspension and a tad more power both of which you can upgrade on the 250L.
Attention Deficit thanks I mainly got the crf from following you just think it’s time to move on to more power, just not looking for the heavy maintenance lol is it possible

Tell Tilly to wear earplugs seriously you can damage your hearing even you Tanner or anyone even riding a fairly quite street bike I wear them, they say over time you will ruin your hearing if you ride a lot

They can't even push you up a small hill.
The middleman has been wrongly selling these things as trail riding bikes.

It can't push you up a small hill, it clearly must get to high RPM to do It's job.
It's got NO low end power.
Kawasaki's ARE trademark for MID range RPM power.
You're not at mid range RPM.
You were sold bikes that aren't suitable for trail riding.
You got robbed.
You DON'T WANT 2 tiny strokes for trail riding.
You don't want lazy steering, non linear gears, soft suspension designed for all day jumping.
You don't want endurance motocross racing bikes.

get off of the mantra of constantly standing makes for a better rider. watch vids of the top pro gncc Russell, Chris Bachetc guys and you will see that they stand or crouch when they need to but also sit ass flat on the seat when they need to. Dirt bikes are designed with a big long seat for a reason.
Key word “need to”. Of course there are times to sit.
Watch the top Euro riders race ....you will see NO pro GNCC riders competing because they are not good enough
ktmkaos gncc is awesome but the tracks are wide enough to drive a bus through and nothing on them is technically challenging except for the mud holes. I quit racing the gncc because they’ve turned into wot dirt road races. The tracks really suck nowadays compared to 2007/8/910
